If you are; an old, straight, conservative white male with delusions of grandeur, love to be rude to people who don’t reflect your hypocritical puritanical values of a parochial little village with more than it’s fair share of ignorant small minded folks full of their own sense of self importance, and don’t mind getting a terrible haircut by an old unfriendly bigot who also happens to mayor of a pretentious little village with nothing much to offer, then this might just be the place for you! You can ask for any haircut you like but your requests will go ignored as they really only know how to cut one basic style, and even then they do it badly. Poor blending, uneven throughout, and from side to side. Other than that everything is just great. My boyfriend went here and the owner(and village of Lewiston mayor, Terry Collesano) refused to cut his hair, despite the fact that he only wanted to have a quick shave on the back and sides just to clean up his already short haircut prior to leaving on a roadtrip… and despite the fact that there was nobody else in the barbershop at the time… he refused to cut his hair because in his opinion my boyfriend did not look male enough to him, telling him that he only cuts men’s hair and that he should go to a salon. I had been sending our son here for some time just because it was local rather than particularly good, but it probably goes without saying that he will never be going there again. I imagine this same person tries to convey how decent a human being they are when in church, or when campaigning to become mayor! or did they run on the platform of being rude to and discriminating against residents and visitors who come to Lewiston? No, his comments after being nominated by both the Democratic and Republican parties as their mayoral candidate in 2010, «I will continue to do what is best for the residents of the Village of Lewiston.» while still listening to and addressing the concerns of all residents. «All residents» unless that is you don’t fit in with his idea of what a customer to his barbershop should look like. What a hypocrite! A poor example of human behavior, poor representation of the community of Lewiston, and a perfect example that old fashioned prejudice and bigotry is still very much alive and well in a village that ironically promotes it’s importance in the role it played in the the underground railroad that helped smuggle 1000’s of escaped black slaves to freedom across the border into Canada during the early to mid 1800’s.
