I attempted to come here since I was falling asleep driving. Fucking stupid you don’t get it for full night. Check in at 5am they want you out by 11 the same day. This shit hole should want business. I really think all hotels/motels should allow you to have the room for 24 hours.

If you get paid less than $ 100 to stay here you are being ripped off. In fact, I would not stay here again if they paid me $ 100/hour. There were flies in the room. I booked through expedia, which has a habit of rejecting bad reviews. Most of their reviews are fake. I wrote that most of the people who lived there at this place, actually are residents. possibly prostitutes and drug dealers. The non-smoking room smelled like smoke. Possibly mixed with crack or meth, but I dont know for sure. the carpet was damp. I wont walk barefoot in the room for fear of contracting a disease. It was a horror show. This place should be condemned, but I think they make money off the state who put up homeless people there by the week. Expedia charged me $ 88 which was $ 188 too much. They should send their executives to stay here. we left there as soon as we got up in the morning. Next time, I rather sleep in the car. Or find an abandoned warehouse.

Oh god. Where do I start. Okay, well I guess I’ll start with the fact that this was my first experience booking a hotel room on my own(with my boyfriend.) I’d been to hotels with my parents before, and the ones we typically booked were around $ 100 a night and were nice– two full size beds and a decent bathroom. They were never anything incredible, but were clean, and I always felt safe. Now, my boyfriend and I paid $ 183 for two nights at this motel(through expedia) and(silly me) I didn’t think to check the reviews of the place before doing so. We arrived at around 5pm the first night, and there was a woman sitting next to the front door in a plastic outdoor chair that was covered in duct tape. She was shouting on the phone about not being able to pay her rent, but that’s besides the point. At first I thought that the chairs were hers and she was just kind of camping out there, but we soon realized that those lovely chairs were the décor of the Super 8. Plastic lawn chairs. Covered in duct tape. No thank you. The hallways of the place absolutely stunk. It was horrific. I held my breath every time we went up the stairs. Our room was 204, so we were on the upper level. Thank god. The lower floor smelled heavily of smoke and we quickly realized that the majority of the people staying there had made it their permanent residence. Do you want to know how I knew? Because there was a woman walking her poodle in the upstairs hallway. HERPOODLE. Not to mention two of our lights in the room didn’t work, and the air conditioner’s knobs broke twenty minutes into our stay. The blankets were made of this tarp-like material, so we kind of just threw it off the bed and dealt with what we had. However, the staff was incredibly nice, and the room was clean. They were kind to us, and said hello; they honestly meant well. Which made the experience tolerable. If you pay more than $ 50 a night for this hotel, you’re nuts. Lewiston is a funky area. I’d suggest something in new gloucester or even Portland area if it’s possible.

My husband and I have been to other Super 8’s and they were ok. However, this Super 8 by far was the worst that we have ever been to. First, we walked into the hallway at the motel and we were greeted by the smell of smoke. All of the rooms on this wing were supposed to be non-smoking but they did nothing to enforce their policy after we brought it to the management’s attention. Then, when we walked into the bedroom, the one of the light-fixtures was missing a light bulb and shade. One of the chairs that was in the room was about to break. The next morning we found out that a number of the people that go there are long-term residents. While I can sympathize with people that are down on their luck, the long-term guests were talking about such things as parole officers/probation officers, rehab and the like — quite loudly for all to hear. It made the both of us feel unsafe. The next evening, the smell of smoke settled into our room. We shouldn’t have to bear the smell of smoke if we purchase a non-smoking room. Finally, our last morning there, I went to get myself a banana, and apparently one of the long-term residents had taken about 40 of them and left none for everyone else. This was by far the most horrifying experience I have ever had at a motel. When we tried to get a refund all we got from management was, «We can get you a 25% off coupon for your next stay. Stay away from here!

This place is the worst hotel I’ve ever been to. The place is straight up disgusting. This Super 8 is run by an Indian family, all of which seems to reside in the hotel. For those of you that aren’t aware, these foreigners come here and receive a 5 year tax exemption from our wonderful government to start a business. What happens is they move their whole family into the hotel and then proceed to run the place into the ground and collect tax free income until they decide to abandon the place, which has happened to at least two other hotels in the area according to an employee at the Ramada just down the street where I ended up moving to, which is a wonderful hotel by the way. The sheets on the bed were yellowish and had an old smell to them. There were stains on everything, the sheets, the blankets, the towels and there was even a blood stain on one of the pillow cases. There were also hairs scattered throughout the bed sheets, GROSS! This indicates to me that they do no bleach anything or perhaps not even wash at all if they think it looks clean. I asked the manager if they used bleach to which he replied, «It must be due to the new detergent», in other words, they don’t use bleach. I also asked for a non smoking room but the entire hallway reeked of cigarette smoke which did permeate into my room. Stay far far away from this place, unless you don’t mind an extremely high risk of contracting something like scabies.

I’m surprised by the negative reviews. Yes, it sort of smells like smoke, but it’s WAY better than the Motel 6 down the road. The beds are in decent condition and the bathroom is ok. The people are nice. I don’t think the area is *that* dangerous; I’ve stayed at this Super 8 several times and I’ve never had/witnessed any problems.

Here’s my review: this place is the WORST. Filthy and stinky. Don’t ever stay here. I only added one star because I have to. If Unilocal would let me, I would give this the opposite of stars. Black holes. I give this place five black holes.

This hotel was only around $ 50, and I can see why. It’s not in the greatest part of town. I wouldn’t say dangerous really, just nothing around to do and very industrial. The rooms were very sparse, not really clean, and stunk really bad, like what I couldn’t place. They do have free breakfast, but we didn’t eat it. Next time I would pay a little extra and stay in a better part of town, but we were just there for the night.
