What a let down! A couple of bar stools I sat on had missing levelers. How are these stools being used? Drinks are overpriced. Chips & salsa horrible. Ordered combination appetizer platter. Everything tasted like a frozen TV dinner. Service wasn’t that great. My beer glass stayed dry until a flagged down our server to ask for another drink. Ordered a margarita, it wasn’t bad but overpriced. Ambiance is like a Mexican decked out Denny’s. I didn’t get the putting green outside either? I was excited to see a much needed new restaurant coming to Lewisville, but what a dissapointment.

Atmosphere on patio is excellent! Ordered drinks and finally had to go to bar and get the waiter to bring them to us. I ordered a Jack, diet coke tall glass, Drink was brought in high ball glass. When asked about the glass, he stated that was the tall, said I sure would hate to see a small. Ordered dinner. Long time in coming. Food finally came, still had so silverware. Had to wait for something to eat with. Oder was mixed up. Wife order Shrimp, got chicken. Ask to see manager. Manager came, apologized and said he would get a serving of shrimp for the table. Never came. Service is terrible. It seems the help are not trained in how to serve, priority in serving and not able to take multiple orders. Place was not that busy. Over all, will not be going back anytime soon. Might give them another chance in about 6 months to see if they have corrected it. Managers seemed clueless as to what they were doing also. Terrible and WOULDNOT recommend to anyone for a dinning experience!

Always friendly and great food. They give a great Tex-Mex flavor to savor. Try Bobs Queso for a treat. This is my new go to Mexican Restaurant. And again, another great meal at my favorite Mexican Food restaurant. I recommend highly! Always a great experience. I can find some San Antonio flavor in the menu. Everything I have tried is excellent!

The people were nice and the restaurant was clean, however, that’s about as good as it get’s for this place. My wife and I went with our son for lunch and both the quesadilla and fajitas were very bland and hardly any flavor at all. Our son enjoyed the chicken tenders and free ice cream, but it’s a bit hard to go wrong there. The food was overpriced, for lunch quesadilla, lunch fajita, and a kids chicken finger meal before tip it was $ 47. There are many better hispanic resturaunts in the area that are also more in line with proper pricing for hispanic fare.

Came twice for the happy hour that supposedly has food. The food bar is empty most of the time and only refilled with a few items. I asked the management the first time. he said«well it stops at 6». It was 5:10. Never coming again. Chuys from now on!

Love this place! The staff is always very friendly and the food is so good! I usually get the brisket quesadillas and they’re phenomenal. 5 stars for sure.

I have to lower my rating. We have been for HH3 times recently, and EVERY time the«free» munchie bar is completely empty, or there are no plates. Two times we ended up ordering off the menu instead, which is what they want I presume. Bait and switch is no way to run a business..

I’ve been here five times now. With the first two visits on consecutive days. I REALLY love this place! The brisket quesadillas are«LOADED» with brisket. Almost as if a tortilla and cheese are there only because it’s called a quesadilla. The flautas are light an crunchy, not greasy at all. The Mole enchiladas are perfect with the chicken moist and satisfying. And today I’ve ordered the Chicken Fried Steak, «Cowboy Style». I dare you to order it!

Dined here tonight for the first time. I like the décor all though the lighting in the back of the restaurant is similar to what you’d see in a cafeteria. Invest in some dimmers! Maybe they want it very bright? The chips and salsa were outstanding. Frozen margarita pretty good but too sweet to me. Also kinda weak. Brisket tacos were very good. Loved the sauce. The refried beans and spanish rice were good as well.

If you are looking for a Mexican place in Lewisville, look no further. Leave the On the Border behind! I enjoyed my first(and won’t be the last experience) at Mattito’s. The space is welcoming and fun. There are bright, vibrant colors everywhere. Our waitress was very pleasant. I had the Armando which was two chicken flautas and a spinach enchilada. It was delicious! I also had a rumbarita which is their famous drink — limit 2. It was strong and tasty! I will definitely be back. I would like to check out the happy hour.

Decided to try Mattito’s again and arrived before the big crowd. We were immediately seated but I had to flag down someone to get a server to bring us something to drink. We ordered at the same time because we watched our server work his butt off. Looked as though they were severely understaffed. I ordered the bacon wrapped stuffed shrimp which were good but it seemed wierd to have new potatoes and ketchup in a Tex Mex place. Not something I would put together, especially for the price. Food was good, service was slow but not because of the server, his workload was over the top. Just needs some better management IMO.

Awesome food. Bad customer service. Called in to make a «to go» order. The gentleman told me my food would be ready for pickup in 15 minutes. I arrived at the restaurant within 30 minutes to allow for some extra time in case it took longer. I got here only to find out that the order never made it to the kitchen. I had to order my food again. Why the $&@# do I have to order and pickup takeout at the bar? Smh…

Glad to Finally have a Mattito’s in Lewisville! Place is really nice and well designed inside. Took a little bit to even figure out who our server was, but once that was straightened out he was awesome. Had the Fajitas and they were good! Tender Meat, and good Flavor. Really wish this location with do the Sunday Buffet like the other locations do. Maybe soon?

I have been to other Mattito’s locations, and I’m usually a big fan. However, Lewisville seems to still have some kinks to work out. The décor and design is fantastic. I loved the environment, and the patio was very nice. We arrived Friday night around 9pm. We were quickly greeted by the hostess, we told her we wanted to sit at the bar and she offered us menus. The bartender was almost never in the bar, and when he was, he was mostly concerned with socializing with other patrons. The bar back helped us with everything we needed, but he wasn’t very attentive, we had to flag him down(he was busy taking care of stocking the bar, etc.). I had a pineapple mojito, which was pretty delicious. We ordered a side of guac, which was also pretty good. The salsa was spicy! To eat, we shared the tres tacos plate, which had a fish, carnitas and brisket taco with rice, beans, and guac. The menu didn’t say it came with guac, but it arrived with the meal. which made us think we should not have ordered the side for an appetizer. No one mentioned it to us. The fish taco tasted blackened and came with a slaw on it, neither of us liked that one. The carnitas taco was good, but very greasy. The brisket taco was our favorite, we will definitely order brisket tacos next time. Overall, you can see our visit had it’s high and low points. I won’t be back anytime soon. If and when I go back, I won’t be sitting at the bar.

Loved this place! The food was delish and the service was excellent! Our fabulous server, Victor, made sure we were happy. He told us «Whatever you want, we can do it for you.» And he did. The spinach enchilada left me craving more. Plump with fresh spinich. Enjoyed or visit!

My roommate and I decided to try this place the other night, from a former server I understand when your busy and I don’t mind waiting that long for service so I didn’t say anything but we sat at the bar at the time they had three bartenders working not one acknowledged us until 20 minutes after we got out drinks asked for queso and chips to start with and then ordered our dinner, my dinner came right out before our queso and chips and then another 30 minutes after my roommates dinner came out. I waited for a while before I started eating because my roommates food wasn’t out yet by that time it was cold. The service we got from a first impression was horrible. The food came out at different times!!! I would give no stars if that was an option.

A brand new Matitto’s for Lewisville. It’s a welcome edition and it only opened about two weeks ago. For those that used to patronize the Fox & Hound that used to be here. Matitto’s looks nothing like it. Totally different layout and very colorful. The space is welcoming and so is the staff. The GM was very proud of how it turned out. We sat and got chips and salsa pretty quick. The salsa was really good with a little kick at the end. The chips were fresh but not hot, and personally, I like them saltier. Our server was good and the menu had plenty of options and we mostly kept a two year old happy. We got a taco salad, enchiladas, a chicken and cheese quesadilla and carnitas tacos. I had the tacos and they were very tasty street tacos. The meat was perfectly spiced and the tacos were loaded with all the goodies you’d expect. I will admit that I’ve become used to two tortillas per taco and not just one like they served. Onions and cilantro plus some sauce. With a little squeeze of lime and some of that salsa, they were muy bueno. My dish came with lime rice and black beans. That rice was great! My buddy, who got the enchiladas, wished that he had the lime rice once he tasted it. He enjoyed it better than the Mexican rice on his plate. The taco salad was huge and my other friend enjoyed the seasoned beef on it and also ended up taking a good part of it home. It was large. For a business that’s only been open less than two weeks(as of this review) they were pretty busy for a Monday night. There are other Matittos in the DFW area and I’ve been to the Frisco location, so I knew the food was good. I believe that this location will do well. From what I saw, the folks in Lewisville seem to like it and my friends said they’ll be coming here regularly. Support local.

This new Mattito’s location is one of the coolest modern restaurants now available to patronize in Lewisville! I’ve been dining with them for almost 20 years now. This is my first visit to this location and the food and service was amazing as always. Good job guys, you knocked it out of the park again!
