I love spring creek bbq but they convinced me to get the lunch special when I wanted a baked potato. Then I said do I still get the lunch price even though it’s after 2? They said yes I go to the register they said its after 2 and charged me full price. Just not the way to do business.

Nothing special about this place. The food was decent but I wouldn’t go back. About on par with Colorado BBQ. You do get a huge portion for a decent price and the fact that I am from Colorado and Sweet Tea is almost nonexistent there, their sweet tea was amazing. Also, they serve fresh bread during the meal which was very good. Overall, not bad but I wouldn’t come to Dallas intending to eat here.

I love this place. My family and I have eaten here ever since I was 11. The chopped beef sandwich is amazing. The way they prepare it is on the sweeter side in my opinion. The BBQ sauce isn’t spicy or too much; I’d compare it to Sweet Baby Rays BBQ sauce. The rolls are wonderful and the sweet tea is perfect. The atmosphere is nice and a really good setting for family events with their reserved room. Give it a try if you want good BBQ.

Very unimpressed. I’m sorry to say zero taste to the sausage and I wouldn’t even try the canned vegetable. Very, very friendly staff that did their best successfully, but not worth the money, I’m sorry

What can I say. Sometimes, you just want good(darn good) solid bbq. Fair prices and portions are are great, but add in the consistent good food quality, and it is hard to beat Spring Creek. Bonus… Hot bread at the table! I Ike to shop and eat local, but as mentioned, sometimes I need to know what I’m getting. In Texas, bbq is comfort food, and SCBBQ is just that.

Line moved quickly although it was pretty busy(6:30 Sunday eve). Hubby had beef and sausage plate. Says he didn’t care for the BBQ sauce and needed more than a butter knife to cut with. I had chopped beef sandwich plate and it was very good. Employees were busy but friendly. We were offered hot rolls twice. :)

This is a pretty solid bbq option. we came for lunch at around 2:30, so the place was mostly empty. I got the pulled pork sandwich, which was pretty good. they let you take as many sides as ya want, but i only tried the cole slaw. they also have someone that comes around with fresh rolls, not bad! just one thing that i thought was kinda weird was most of the tables were a mess, with dirty dishes and leftover food everywhere, with no one cleaning up. there were plenty of workers, but no one really doing anything. it’s a little off putting to be eating surrounded by dirty tables.

The food was alright. The service was below expectations. It was a shame. The first time that we went it was the same. We decided to give it another chance and it failed us. The manager, Mike, seemed«somewhat» apologetic when I spoke with him about it. Not what I expected from this company. We will definitely try a different bbq place next time… No third strike.

Well, Spring Creek used to be 5 stars for me. But this time was just terrible. I haven’t been to Texas in several years and was sorely disappointed. The brisket was the worst. It’s taste and texture was basically like a mass of fat with attached bits of meat. The sausage was a little better, but it was just mediocre. The chicken was the best, but still tasted a little dry and inconsistent. Ultimately, I judge a barbecue joint by how the meat tastes with no sauce. I used to really enjoy the flavors of Spring Creek, but this time was just awful. Nothing tasted all that good without the barbecue sauce. They still get some points(hence the 2 stars) because the barbecue sauce still tastes good, and their unlimited rolls are still a nice bonus.

Mmmmmm… the fresh, hot, and steamy rolls! I would go here over and over again just to get the rolls that they walk around in a basket and serve to everyone in the dining room. The portions are generous and the brisket is tasty. It’s not the best nor the worst brisket I have ever had but it is good. The staff is always friendly and like most bbq, they serve everything up right in front of you just the way you want it. This time I got a chopped brisket sandwich and although tasty, the sandwich was a little too saturated in bbq sauce for my liking. Other than that, I have no complaints. Reason I gave four stars is because of price and for the sides. The mac and cheese was a little watery and bland and the potato salad was a tad too warm for me. Price, although high, is pretty standard for bbq so I wouldn’t let that effect your decision if that is the deciding factor for you trying Spring Creek. I will eat here again.

This is a pretty good standby BBQ place. I have been eating here for years off and on. While not my favorite BBQ place in the metroplex, it is the closest to where I live and it still rates pretty high. When the ribs are good, they are about as good as you can find anywhere. But, they can be inconsistent. Same for the brisket. I always order the«moist»(fatty) brisket, but often end up with dry slices. When it is moist, it is delicious. The sausage is not as good as it was in the past, so now I stick with ribs and brisket, but I take a look at their brisket before I order. The beans are now sweet, like a cross between a ranch style bean and a baked bean. That is NOT Texas BBQ. I would swear they used to be just spicy pinto beans. The cole slaw is sweet and good. The best side is the fried okra, which they cook to order(thankfully). The fresh bread is the best part of the meal and the BBQ sauce is also excellent. For a chain BBQ place, Spring Creek has a lot going for it.

I ordered take out from there and it was pretty good. This is a chain restaurant but they do a pretty good job. Easy location for me to get in and out of and take out was pretty fast considering it was a busy evening service. The only thing I would say is that the prices are pretty high for what you get, but that seems to be the case with BBQ in the metroplex these days.

This is a nice place. I really only go here when I get the free rib coupon that gets delivered to our house in regular intervals. FYI, they do not check the expiration date on these coupons.

I have been coming to this location of Spring Creek BBQ for over 10 years. They over great service for reasonable prices. The thing that keeps my family coming back is the coupons for the rib dinners that come in the mail(they send them out so often that they have on occasion accepted an expired coupon). The bread is the most buttery piece of fluffy dough I have ever tasted. The ribs are always moist and meaty, and you can’t go wrong with classic Mac and cheese. If you still have room for dessert their warm peach clobber topped with vanilla ice cream is the perfect way to end a true bbq meal.

Baked potatoes and rolls are always good. I usually get the ham which is just ok and the beef which is also ok. Nothing spectacular considering the prices you pay. Staff is not very friendly.

Sure, it’s a chain. But not all chains should be penalized. The ribs here have generally been pretty good, moist and tender. They give a lot for the buck. The brisket is pretty good too. Mac and cheese with Paul salad is the bomb. Place is usually pretty packed which I assume people come regularly without posting reviews thus it should merit more than what the 3 stars represent. At places like these since it’s nothing new — people tend to only complain rather compliment. Great food, great prices, friendly staff. 5⁄5.

Got my order to go. Very small portions. The meat was cold. Came with no utensils. No bread. No condiments. Will not go back. Very expensive too

Meat is a bit inconsistent, but the rolls and baked potatoes are always delicious. If you stick to the ribs and sausage, you should be fine. Chicken can be hit or miss and the brisket sandwiches really aren’t very good compared to some Dickys locations. Bit pricey too.

The beef was cold(room temperature at best) and flavorless. The sausage(with pepper) was nothing special. The cheese was hardly evident in the Macaroni and Cheese. The corn was blah and the hot bread was overlooked and not hot. Might as well go to Dickies.

I’ve eaten here a couple of times and can say Spring Creek Barbeque is a solid option. It’s a chain that offers decent bbq along with all you can eat sides and buttery hot rolls. Some sides are a just mediocre. Generally, the food is already prepped and ready for eatin’- no waiting necessary– unless you want another round of fresh baked rolls. Meal prices range $ 12-$ 15. It’s a good restaurant if you’re looking for a good value for money option. The meat servers tend to be animated and always holler out something when you pick your choice of meat –they’re funny. It’s bbq, so the atmosphere/ambiance is super casual. In case you missed it, the rolls are the highlight!
