Allergy & Asthma Clinic

Dr. Laznickova is pleasant, knowledgeable, and prompt. I travel some distance to see her rather than go to someone closer to home. As a result, I wish her allergy shot hours were a little more convenient for me, but I think she does what she can. Her office is a two-​person operation as far as I can tell (just her and her office manager), but they’re a good team. I’m glad she’s my doctor.

I’m extremely picky with my doctors, and I’ve had some trouble with allergists in the past. Dr. Laznickova ranks in the top three of any doctors of any kind I’ve ever had in my life.
First of all, she’s good at what she does. I have some pretty weird allergies (celery, strawberries… and beer?!) in addition to my horrible pollen troubles. She gave me the most thorough allergy testing I’ve had and laid out all the information so that I could understand it (it has a name — oral allergy syndrome). She then laid out a plan of attack for us and it’s been working wonders!
Dr. Laznickova also has a great bedside manner. Shots are often painless, and lollipops are always offered. No matter what, she is always concerned about how you feel and will ask you — at least several times per visit. This is seriously the sweetest doctor I’ve ever known.
She’s also on your side when you’re on a budget. For example, she gave me a catalog with some things I could buy to help control my dust mite allergies. I’ve seen these before, and I don’t believe in some of the products, So, when I mentioned these feelings, she pointed out the exact items that would give me the most benefit for the least cost — a $ 5 mattress cover instead of a $ 100 air filtration system. I also got a ton of free samples, which I haven’t even needed to replace months later!
All the logistical things are perfect at this office. The location is easy to get to even in 8:30 AM traffic. Parking is ample and wait times are short. When the doctor sees you, there is no rush to get you out the door and you have her full attention.
In summary, you can’t go wrong here. Five stars.

How could I not have written a review about the woman who changed my life?!
I’ve been seeing Dr. Hana Laznickova for almost 3 years now for allergy treatments. When my ENT suggested that I see an allergist (I have severe environmental and food allergies), he recommended her or the clinic at MGH. I work in Waltham so her location in Lexington was perfect. It also helped that the doctor personally recommended her over MGH.
The clinic is small and run by her and her husband Jim, who works at the front desk. They’re friendly, helpful, and hospitable professionals. Dr. is very knowledgeable, informative, listens very well, and does everything she can to make you feel comfortable. It’s great when you can come in the morning to get 4 shots (yup, it’s that bad), chat about your weekend, get a hug, and then wait 30 minutes for your arm to blow up with bumps.
Allergy treatments aren’t guaranteed (only for environmental), but fortunately it has worked wonders for me. Both her and Jim has made my experience less stressful. Luckily the shots aren’t painful and Dr. will make sure of it.
