We just left this horrible serviced restaurant. Apon walking in, they stick us in the back corner literally by ourselves. Ordered our drinks and then proceeded to wait 30 minutes before our orders were even taken. It took an old couple seated next to us leaving before they decided to service us. We literally had no clue who our server was except for her being a woman. Food took equally 20 minutes to come out and was cool to touch and we had not gotten our rice. The icing on the cake was the fact other patrons seated around us after got first class service. No apologies for forgetting us or anything. It wouldn’t have been so bad if we just were recognized. I’ll never come back. Place wasn’t even busy. No reasons.

I love this restaurant! There are plenty of other places much closer to our home, but they don’t hold a candle to the food quality from Asian Wind. The staff is always nice, and they take almost no time at all to fill our order. We have also never had a problem — they get it right every time, and it’s consistently good quality. I normally get the sesame chicken, it’s the best in town. They put cabbage under it. Cabbage! It’s great!

Good Chinese and Asian food for a reasonable price. Nicer atmosphere than your normal Chinese strip mall restaurant. Good date night option. Love the Kung Pao Chicken and Dry Sauteed Green Beans

We 2 tourists stopped here on a Thursday night and had a really tasty dinner. Each of us is vegan, and we were able to find good choices that were served in large portions(we each took some back to our hotel) and that looked as good on our plates as the food tasted. The service was very good and friendly, even though there was a bit of a language barrier. We got a lot of good food for a reasonable price.

Came here for dinner with a friend since we’ve never been here before. I had the sweet and sour soup simply because the reviews said it was so good, but in fact it was so bland. I didn’t care for it. I ordered combination pad Thai and it was alright but I’ve had better. This one definitely lacked some flavor and fresh vegetables. I felt I had a lot more noodles than anything else. My friend ordered a soup that I can’t remember the name of it, but it was so sour from the amount of vinegar they put into it. My friend was satisfied but I didn’t like it at all. The ambience and staff were nice but the food quality wasn’t so good.

Stopped in for dinner and was quickly seated even on a busy Saturday night. Had a few appetizers and a couple of entrees with the wife. Everything was delicious and came out super quick. The portion sizes on the entrees were giant! My wife’s bowl of soup could have easily fed 3 people. Their beef and broccoli was fantastic. I loved going when I was a vegetarian, and even now that I eat meat I still usually get the kwachic. It’s not the grandest place or the most fancy, but the staff is really kind and helpful. What more could you ask for?

Nice find! A friend brought my wife and I here for lunch today. I ordered the Hunan Chicken and my wife had the Sweet & Sour Chicken. Hers was a little greasy, mine was perfect. Great friendly service! Affordable. I’m sure we’ll be back.

Honestly, the best Chinese I’ve ever had! Too bad it’s a two hour drive from me. Located in a strip mall, it’s nothing particularly stellar on the outside. Don’t be fooled, the inside is well appointed and comfortable. But even more so, the foooood! And entrée is definitely of shareable portions, just order extra rice. I’d recommend family style so you can sample different things. The General Tso’s chicken, seriously the perfect level of sweet and spice… and everything nice! Loved it. We wanted a beef dish as well, so I asked our server for a recommendation. We ended up with beef and green beans. The green beans were the perfect level of al dente and there was a healthy amount of sauce, which is perfect for mixing in with the rice. The servers appear to be all family and they are very attentive without being annoying. You can tell this is a local favorite, they new several diners who came in. It was like the neighborhood bar, except it was Chinese food. When I return to Lex, I know this will be on my list!

Take out is always quick & easy. Food never takes more than 20 min to prepare. Polite employees!

I ordered carryout so i cant say much about yhe armosphere. My food however did not take very long less than ten minutes. Price was reasonable but a bit more than i would like to pay for Chinese takeout. The portion was large and very filling and the fresh vegtables were great in my sachuan chicken. However the flavor was not all there it a little to sweet and not very spicy at all wich the dish is most definitely is supposed to be. I might return but i think im going to see what else is out there first.

Our favorite Chinese food in Lexington. We had never been here before, but decided to check it out on a Saturday afternoon for lunch. The atmosphere is a bit dated, but it didn’t matter. The service was phenomenal and the food was excellent! I asked the waiter if it was possible to get the moo shu without meat because I’m a vegetarian and moo shu is my favorite Chinese dish. Without hesitation he said yes, and even told me that the fried rice doesn’t have meat in it, so he recommended I get that instead of steamed rice. He was right… it was delicious! My boyfriend got the general Tso’s chicken and said it was amazing. He said everything was cooked perfectly… not greasy or chewy like some other places in town. Even the broccoli on his plate was cooked well… not mushy from being overcooked or hard from being undercooked. And the price was great… less than $ 20 for two lunch meals, a soft drink and hot tea. I definitely recommend this place… and we will absolutely be back soon!

The inside is pretty with a lovely waterfall that I’m entranced by. The staff is very pleasant. But it is a little pricier than I feel is prototype for a casual Chinese restaurant with good but not absolutely mind-blowing food. However, let it be known that I enjoyed my food and the leftovers, I’m always impressed by the waitstaff, and the décor is nice(and I’m particular about interior decorating.) Based on those facts, I do still recommend this place! It’s nicer than take out, but it’s not P.F. Chang’s and a party of three was $ 40.

In Jan. 2015 a friend and I ate at Asian Wind. I had eaten there previously. My friend was impressed with the restaurant until she saw a roach on a water glass. I could not believe this(we had already eaten, but had tea to drink). I asked the cashier to look at the glass. She took it to the kitchen and then came out with the waitress. They looked above our heads and said… we have to get the exterminator in again. Apparently, the roach«fell» from an area near the ceiling. My friend thought for sure I would receive a refund as I had already paid. This did not happen. I will not be returning to this restaurant.

As a fan of local bistros/cafes/slightly sketchy Chinese joints in shopping centers, I enjoy Asian wind very much. The name itself evokes a feeling of euphoria and the food touches your tongue with a certain suave that’s very hard to find. The sweet and sour chicken is the Romeo to my Cinderella. The reason I’ve decided not to give Asian wind 5 stars is because it’s very sketchy. And not the kind that’s makes you feel like you’re in China town. They take you to a back room to eat food, a room that may/may not double as an adult film studio. I can’t shake the feeling that I’m being watched since the ceiling are all black with the structural beams exposed. If you enjoy good food and a lack of sexual security, you will love Asian wind.

The service was outstanding from our waitress who insisted on making sure our dishes were prepared right down to each vegetable we did or didn’t like! She was fantastic, I wish she had a name badge on so I could brag about her publicly. The food was delicious, so good I wish I had leftovers for lunch today. The dining area and booths are dated but it’s cozy and the food and service are what’s important here. Will definitely be back soon.

This is really good Asian for the price, and no MSGs. Love that they offer Chinese and Tai. Portions are very adequate and presentation nice. You gotta try it.

Love the sesame chicken and Kung Pao chicken. Sesame chicken was crispy outside and tender inside with sweet and tangy sauce. The Kung Pao chicken had just the right balance of sweet, sour, and spicy. The staff here are friendly and I learned that the chef has over 15 years of cooking experience. I would definitely recommend this place for their delicious food and friendly service.

In town on business. Checked reviews and most were complimentary. I agree, good food and value for the money. If someone did not like the food It must have an off night. We enjoyed everything; although, not everything was made the way were accustomed. Very pleased!

The worst… I dont think some of you get out much if you think this is the best. Ordered take out and half the order was missing. Plus quality of food is lacking

My husband LOVES this place. He always gets the General Tso’s Kwachik, which is their vegetarian chicken(we’ve been told previously that it’s not vegan) with the very popular General Tso’s sauce here. The portions are huge, so easy to share. The liquor/beer is kindly priced. On my last visit, I had Kung Pao Tofu, which was good, if lacking in the vegetable department(it was *just* tofu). But if you ask, they’ll have recommendations on what to order if you want more veggies/noodles/etc. I had plum wine, which was quite nice and super sweet(as I like my plum wine). We’ll be back again, ’cause the hubs will be :)
