I was so sad to see the bad reviews for this business. I have been visiting and shopping here for years. I will say that my experience has been pretty much cash and carry so maybe that is the difference. But I love to window shop here and I have been given and bought some beautiful flowers from this shop.

I was referred to Best of Flowers as a local florist in Lexington. I went to their website to get their phone number and ended up ordering sympathy flowers online rather than calling since they appeared to not be affiliated with FTD or other online florists. I ordered a hydrangea plant, and they delivered an orchid. Yes, the website & receipt comes with the standard «we reserve the right to substitute» disclaimer, but I would expect a different color or possibly a similar plant. I wish they would have contacted me to discuss options. That being said, I was told the orchid was beautiful.

I found Best of Flowers through a friend who lives in Lexington. Being from Atlanta, I need to send flowers to an employee’s house who lost their dad the previous day. I called and described what I needed and was met with a not so helpful employee. When she asked me for the delivery recipient’s phone number I explained that I did not have a number as this was an employee and I didn’t know their home number but I did have an address. The lady on the phone got very annoyed and told me that this was after all Valentine’s week and that it presented problems to them to not have a phone number so I needed to figure out the number and call back. I kindly told her I’d be placing my order with another florist and called Michler’s — they were so nice and helpful and said that not having a phone number was no problem! I do not suggest using Best of Flowers.

I recently was to receive a delivery from Best of Flowers for a birthday gift on 12/30/2014. My best friend accidentally when ordering gave them the wrong date of ¹²⁄₃₁. She called back the morning of the ¹²⁄₃₀ to have this corrected she was told emphatically that they would get out that day without a problem. Keep in mind my best friend had her wedding flowers done through best of flowers and spared NO expense, spent thousands of dollars with them. Needless to say they didn’t get delivered and she called the next day and spoke with the owner, John. He basically told her sorry, not sorry he didn’t know who she spoke with and really it didn’t even matter. TERRIBLE customer service. DO NOT USE THIS FLORIST. She sent them from Oram’s flowers and they were beautifully done and more than happy to accommodate on a holiday (NEW YEARS EVE) delivery.
