We have dined about twice a year at Bonefish since it opened in Lexington. Tonight we noted it is the one restaurant in Lexington that consistently delivers great service and well crafted meals. Grilled shrimp, scallops, and mahi all perfectly cooked with just the right amount of seasoning. Fresh veggies and crisp salads. Service staff was friendly and attentive. The combination of lighting, décor, atmosphere, and staff allow you to relax and enjoy a great meal. We are going here more often this year.

We are regulars at Bonefish Grill and especially enjoy the Endless Bubbles option on Sundays. For $ 19.90 you get any meal on the Brunch Menu along with endless Bellinis, Mimosas, and Blackberry Sangria. Brunch options include various Eggs Benedict dishes, Omelets, and more, and on our most recent visit I chose the Surf & Turf Eggs Benedict with Potatoes Au Gratin. The Surf & Turf is basically a toasted English muffin, small portion of filet mignon and lobster, poached eggs, and Hollandaise sauce. Mine was very good except for the fact that the egg was overcooked(not runny), a fine dining no-no. I ate it with no complaint but would probably send it back if it happened the next time. The Potatoes Au Gratin were excellent. My wife chose the Western Omelet which includes chorizo(a Spanish sausage which we love), cheddar, cilantro, onions, ranchero, and lime cream sauce with a side of Asparagus. This dish was very flavorful and paired well with the Endless Bubbles. Drink choices included in the Endless Bubbles meal are the Peach Bellini, Orange Juice Mimosa, Passion Fruit Mimosa, and Blackberry Sangria. Order your next drink when they bring your current drink to avoid being without a beverage. We enjoy Bonefish for dinner, brunch, and even the occasional $ 6 Bang Bang Shrimp night(Wednesdays). If you like seafood this is a great place to dine!

Had a very bad experience. Made a reservation which wasn’t honored when we arrived. Stuck at a table in the bar near the revolving door in winter after waiting for an hour. Poor service. Won’t return.

Bonefish brunch is delicious. I’m a Bloody Mary lover and the fact they serve bacon in their Bloody Mary, yes please! Now the pic is from September and they have since changed the bacon to a pre-cooked thin strip and is a lot less impressive. There is also a $ 5 endless bubbles foe Mimosa or Bellini lovers. I have had an omelet and different occasion had the French toast. Both were delicious. The service is always good and it is usually a group of 8 or more. It’s also not overpriced.

I’ve never had a bad experience here and it’s one of the few chain restaurants I’ll ever go to. Fresh menu, great drinks, nice presentation, nothing overly salted and creative specials. I love it. Service has always been top notch.

Bonefish Grill is the place to go to for tasty seafood. The sea bass, salmon and the bang bang shrimp are a must to try.

We love seafood so thought we would check this place out. We started with the Bang Bang Shrimp and it really is as good as everyone says. I highly recommend it. I had Oscar Mahi Mahi and thought it was just OK. We had the sea bass and tuna and it too was OK. I thought the prices were kind of high for the small portions, but the service was outstanding. I probably wouldn’t go back unless someone else wanted to, but if I do… that Bang Bang Shrimp will be my meal.

Great family dinner here Christmas Eve. Good menu, good service & great food. We had bang bang shrimp & pot stickers as appetizers, followed by fish & chips, tilapia, shrimp salad, soup, salmon, shrimp tacos & chicken. Everyone was happy snd drinks were also great. Reasonable prices for what we had. Nice venue for a nice dinner out!

Very unprofessional service. Staff was rolling their paper tablecloths up next to us so close it hit me. That’s right, hit me. And they kept doing it, table cloth after table cloth for about 20 minutes. It was unbelievable. Go to Malones about 10 minutes away for professional service at the same price. Very disappointed in Bonefish.

This weekend I was introduced to the Bonefish Sunday Brunch. I’d been to Bonefish a few times for dinner and liked it O.K. But, the brunch is amazing — unlimited mimosas and bellinis! They have a delicious crème brûlée French toast, several scrumptious Eggs Benedicts and many delicious omelets. I got the California omelet with bacon, onions, cheddar, tomatoes and avocado. It was so good. I went with a group of girlfriends and it was a really fun morning out. We had 12 in our party and the waitress was amazing. I can’t wait to go back.

Good place. Good ambiance though the staff COULD be a teeny weeny bit nicer. Love their dynamite shrimp and order it every time BUT I’ve noticed that since the past few months, they have decreased the serving! Not fair! Fish n chips r good as well.

Ok, I’m updating my review for Bonefish at Hamburg, Lexington, KY. We went tonight to celebrate my wife’s birthday. I got the usual, Chilean Sea Bass & she also ordered her usual meal, the Wood Fired Sea Scallops & Shrimp. The current seasonal vegetable is spaghetti squash & we both ordered Potato’s Au Grautin as our side. Started with 2 Bang Bang Shrimp and they were phenomenal in taste, quality, and quickly served as well. I have tried a couple of the other app’s at Bonefish but I’m totally addicted to the Bang Bang Shrimp. My Sea Bass was great, cooked perfectly, seasoned perfectly, and the sides were also fantastic. My wife’s scallops and shrimp were also cooked perfectly. Overall, the food was perfect, honestly. Absolutely a home run dinner tonight. We never order dessert but tonight I wanted to get something for the wife so we went with the 3 Cinnamon Sugared Doughnuts. There are 3 little doughnuts with little bottles of sea salted caramel and a chocolate sauce that you can add at your preference. They also come with some homemade whipped cream. They were excellent. The only reason I can’t give Bonefish 5 stars is because they are inconsistent at times. Tonight’s meal was absolutely incredible, astonishingly well done in the kitchen. I have, at other times, gotten overcooked scallops and was rather upset about it. We stopped eating out at Bonefish because it was getting to where ‘overcooked’ was the standard. Thankfully, that seems to be a thing of the past. The last thing I want to share about is the service we received tonight. I think it was P.J. who took us to our table & she was very nice. Our server, Billy, was top notch. He was very friendly, yet ‘approachable’, he obviously likes his job because you can see right through people who are ‘putting on a show’ for you & I’m sure you know what I mean… the plastic smile, the over the top laugh, etc. This young man was sincerely trying to give us the best experience that he was capable of. Well done, Billy, you’re a fine example of what a server should be. The bottom line: After a couple not so great dinners at Bonefish we had given up on them. We gave them another shot and OMG it was a complete 180. Excellent in every way. There is only 1 reason I don’t give them 5 stars: No wi-fi in this location. I could’ve taken a picture of our perfect meals tonight & posted them on the spot, real time, but that’s not an option since there’s no wi-fi. Great work tonight, Bonefish, please KEEPUP with the standard!

Awesome food. The menu is fish heavy, hence the name, but still a gem in Lexington. Make sure to grab both the BBQ and fontina pork chops, bang bang shrimp, and Chilean sea bass.

I always enjoy this restaurant but for some reason we only go on special occasions. We had reservations for 1:00 and when we got there they were ready for us. I had the fish and chips and which I always enjoy. My daughter got the shrimp tacos and my husband got the stuffed tilapia. I thought the portion sizes for my husband’s meal were small. Overall a pleasant and enjoyable meal.

Dinner was an anniversary celebration and Bonefish didn’t let us down. Starters, bang-bang shrimp were scrumptious, Mussels for my partner were well prepared and too much for her to eat. My wild-caught Salmon with spinach topping was exquisite and with drinks quite reasonable.

I’m updating my review since the last two visits have just been subpar. The bang bang shrimp is always spot on and delicious. But I ordered the scallops and shrimp a couple months ago and it was all Over cooked. I tried the steak and crab cake this time. The steak was pretty flavorless and something I ate made sick later that night. I’m not sure if they’ve changed chefs or what but it just doesn’t seem to be the quality it use to be.

The Good: the ambiance, some of the food, nice bar scene. The Bad: service, wine selection, paper and plastic tablecloths. The Rundown: I remember this place being so much nicer when it first opened, I don’t know what happened. Firstly our server had no real customer service, she just wanted to go through the motions and wasn’t very nice about doing so. Next, I don’t know why they chose to use paper to cover our tables, this just gives a really cheap feeling, esp when you feel the plastic tablecloth underneath. I looked at their wine selection and there is not one imported wine, they are all from California, which while there are some good ones from there, this menu didn’t feature any. The food was ok, I had the wontons which I really liked and the Branzino, which was flavorful. My wife got a shrimp salad which was only so-so and not something worth getting again. The Impression: this place has gone downhill and there weren’t really any good redeeming factors to make me want to come back again.

We tried their Sunday brunch and it was so delicious. I had a California style omelet, one daughter had french toast and the other had some pancakes. All of our food was hot and fresh. We split a brownie at the end also. Our waitress was on point and very polite and made conversation with us and gave us her opinion when we asked for it. We sat in the bar area and it was fancy and clean.

I’ve only eaten here twice. Both times I spent more than my average splurge. Both times I’ve had fast, excellent service. There was a bit of a wait for an inside table but the patio was open seating and was quite lovely, I’d rather have sat there than inside anyways. Tonight I ordered the shrimp Pad Thai and it was excellent. There must’ve been a close to a pound of shrimp on it, and it was just as tasty as it is at my favorite Thai restaurant. I ordered a pear martini that was a bit too sweet for my liking, but good. The edible Hawaiian flower that set off the martini was a nice touch, so I won’t complain. I seriously just tasted a flower for the first time, that’s enough to write home about. My only mere complaints are that the to go cup was tiny and that the to go box was stored at the bottom of the cashier stand near the ground and was dirty when it was offered to me. Not a huge deal, but not something that happens in a five star restaurant… that’s why it gets four stars from me.
