This is what REAL Italian food taste like. Not Olive Garden or fazzolies, but real Italian! My wife who’s Italian eat here on a regular basis. I miss the old place they had but love how you can be in and out of here really fast. I HIGHLY recommend eating here whenever your downtown. The owner is always there and makes sure you have a really good experience.

A mediocre lunch option in downtown Lexington. I have walked past here many times, so I figured I’d try it to sample something new. I regret my choice. A plate of pasta and a drink was $ 9.53, and that was literally just that, a small cup of a drink and a small serving of pasta. The pasta itself was of good quality, but with no sides like a soup, salad or bread it was not filling. I left having spent almost $ 10 to still be hungry. I kept thinking that I could pay the same amount for much more food of comparable quality at Joe Bologna’s a few blocks away, or for the same amount of money I could eat until I was stuffed silly at Fazoli’s. The food quality is good, but the prices and portion size don’t make for an appealing lunch option. The main appeal is that it’s right in the heart of downtown and an easy option for workers downtown to eat at. If you have the time and means to go to another Italian place, it’s probably better that you do.

I had the caprese panino. It had good mozzarella and fresh basil on it, so it had a nice flavor. I hit a couple spots that tasted like old oil or maybe some burnt crustiness from the panini press, which wasn’t pleasant, but it didn’t ruin the whole sandwich. Prices are reasonable for a downtown lunch option; my sandwich with a drink was $ 8. I would eat here again; it’s nice to have a fast Italian option downtown that isn’t the campus Fazoli’s, and this was higher quality than that definitely.
