This is definitely my favorite spot on Wednesday. The special is a great deal. You get a chicken and a half for the price of a whole chicken. The service is always great, the restaurant is clean and it is nice to be recognized. The chicken melts in your mouth and the rice and beans are delicious too. Please go support this restaurant.

Tucked away in an unassuming strip mall of Nicholasville road, Chicken Casa isn’t much to look at. Appearances are deceiving, though, and this has become one of my favorite spots in Lexington. Went twice while I was in town visiting relatives for a few days. The chicken is amazing! Seriously great roasted /grilled chicken. It’s a great little family-run shop and the prices are very reasonable. It’s worth your while to check this lace out if you’re a lover of grilled chicken. The sides were great too. The cabbage is served cold like a slaw with a light vinegar dressing. Beans and rice are all pretty good too. v

If you want good grilled chicken, give this place a shot. Beyond the chicken, there isn’t much here. I had rice with my order once, it’s average Spanish rice, kind of bland. Their horchata is ok, I think they make it themselves, but again, just ok. If you want juicy, tender, and flavorful chicken, this is the place to go. It’s hard to make a meal of that, but it’s delicious chicken.

The name and the four star rating are perfect. I agree 100% that it’s the best grilled chicken in town… The kind that you pick off of the bone, finger lickin’, without the grease. My husband doesn’t like the bone in chicken, so he wasn’t as big as a fan as I was, but he agrees that it’s worth a four star rating, which is still an awesome rating. To me it’s not a fiver because the sides aren’t great. I mean, they were ok, but not something that you’d find in a five star Mexican restaurant. This location is hidden, in a newer strip mall, on Pasadena Drive, off of Nicholasville Road. The Sterling Hot Yoga place is recognizable, so if you spot that, know that it’s right next door. It’s apparently known to be more of a carry out place, because the entire time that I was there, no one else dined in, but several waited around on their carryout orders, drooling while we picked at our chicken. We were there on a Wednesday, which is the«buy a whole chicken, get a half chicken for free day». We chose the meal deal which was $ 15 and included two sides. For sides we chose the refried beans and cabbage. The meal also came with tortillas and salsa. I couldn’t do tomatoes that day, so the refried beans were a perfect consistency for me to use as a dip. My husband on the other hand didn’t like the beans at all, because he said that they were too runny. The cabbage was in a slaw like consistency, with a vinegar like base with an ingredient that I couldn’t quite recognize. The random few tomatoes in the cabbage was a bit odd, but all in all, I liked it… just didn’t love the sides. They don’t have fountain soda, but do have Mexican Coke and regular, in the plastic bottle Coke. I do prefer the fountain soda when dining in at a restaurant, but this is common for Mexican restaurants in Lexington, so I won’t knock them for that. I’d recommend that you give them a shot, especially if you’re in the mood to try something other than an average, ordinary burrito and taco Mexican place.

Delicious! Had the grilled chicken with beans and cabbage for dinner tonight. The chicken is juicy and full of flavor and the hot salsa is fresh. Also had a chocoflan which consists of flan on top of a large piece of chocolate cake.

We have heard good things about this place and couldn’t wait to try it. We went Wednesday night but they were very busy and we were in a hurry so we came back the next night and ordered the whole chicken meal with beans, rice and mashed potatoes to go. The manager, Jose, remembered my husband and apologized about the wait the night before. And he really hooked us up! Everything was wonderful! The chicken has a great flavor, the refried beans taste like real beans, and the salsa is perfect! We highly recommend this place and will definitely make it one of our regular restaurants.

Very long wait for very dry chicken. I tried this place because of the good reviews. Very disappointed.

Best grilled chicken in town for the price! Much cheaper than kfc. On Wednesday a great deal.

This is one of lexington’s hidden gems! You really need to try it. Their grilled chicken is absolutely the best. I used to come here several times a month on Wednesday’s when they have their buy-one-get-a-half-chicken free special. I would take carry out and eat almost a whole chicken myself, with several pieces leftover for lunch the next day. They’ve raised their prices a little bit since I started coming here, but it’s still a great deal around $ 16 for the meal that comes with two sides. It feeds probably 3 – 4 people, or 1 – 2 if you really love chicken like me.

First time eating here & was amazed at the food. Very flavorful & will definitely be returning! The new owner was very informative which my husband & I greatly appreciated. Tips for other 1st timers: All food is made fresh everyday.(I’m keen on fresh!) They hand grind everything such as salsas, etc.(The salsa there reminded my husband of the salsa his mom used to make, which is definitely an added bonus!) Nothing is fried, the chicken is actually grilled & the seasonings on it is AMAZING!(So much in fact we are ordering our turkeys for Thanksgiving from them on our 1st visit there!) Thanks Chicken Casa for the great food & great service! :-)

I love this place. The chicken is AMAZING! I am not sure if it is the dry rub that they put on the chicken before grilling but it is so tasty. I do not usually like chicken dishes but my Mom kept insisting on trying this chicken. The owner is extremely nice!!! We usually go on Wednesday because they have a deal, buy 1 whole chicken, get ½ for free. You can get just the chicken that comes with corn or flour tortillas with salsa or you can get the Family meal with chicken, tortillas, salsa and sides like refried beans, cabbage. The chicken is made hot so you may have to wait just a bit for piping hot food. Please check this place out.

Grilled chicken breast was the most fantastic I’ve ever tasted! Fiancé had chicken quesadilla and really liked it too. Both came with retried beans and rice. The beans were very good, the rice was ok… I thought about giving 4 stars just because of the rice, but the chicken was soooo good! Think I’ll come back to try the half chicken meal and other sides.

I went on a Monday around lunch. For 12 bucks I got a whole chicken, 2 sides of rice and beans, and tortillas and salsa. It was ready almost immediately and everything was superb. It says it feeds 4, but I’d say more 2 or 3. It was more than enough for my girlfriend and I. Can’t beat the price for the amount and quality of food. Awesome.

Nice spot hidden away on Pasadena. Enchiladas decent, and chicken sandwich was fine, though I expected a torta instead of a regular sandwich. Nothing special about the Mexican rice. We’ll try it again; next time one of the dinners.

Their chicken is quite tasty but the side items were mediocre. That chicken is really the only reason why I gave this place a 3-star. I wouldn’t necessarily come here for a sit-down meal but they are definitely great for quick take-out chicken when you don’t have time to cook. It sure is better than any other greasy fast-food place!
