El Antojito

This used to be a taco truck nearby my house and my wife and I would go there all but after a while it disappeared and we later found out that they have settled down in a brick and mortar location and finding it at long last was like finding the puppy that you lost a year ago.
We only get the tacos there but their tacos are hands down our favorite tacos in Lexington. Also, they have a very wide variety of meats such as pork head, toungue, and tripe for the adventurous eater. The last time we went we ordered 16 tacos and it seemed like a busy night and we waited for about 15 minutes. It was worth the wait.
Due to the fact that we have only been to the brick and mortar location once and the taco truck the other times, i can’t recommend this place as a place to go if you’re in a hurry. But that doesn’t keep me from giving their food 5 stars because the wait time has never discouraged us from going there for a late evening meal.

I’m dead serious when I say that this is the third restaurant in this spot, in the strip mall on the opposite side of New Circle across from Green’s Toyota.
It’s another fast casual, order at the cashier stand, simple kind of place. I was imediately impressed with the television menu boards though.
They have some of the most unique meat choices and I’ve ever seen… Literally, there were about 15 choices. I wanted to keep it simple and I went with the chicken burrito combo. The burrito was delicious and filled with grilled chicken, onions, peppers, refried beans and cheese. The meal came with 2 sides and a drink. I chose fries and salad. I’m pretty sure the fries were from a fresh potato and not the frozen kind. They didn’t have salad dressing though! How are they going to offer salad and not have dressing and then not tell me that part until after I get my order?! Then they had nothing diet available… and the fountain was Pepsi. I’m not a Pepsi fan, so I just sucked up the extra calories and went with a bottle of Jarritos. She got my Jarritos out of the fridge but it was still warm, so I had to drink it over ice. They have a few newness quirks to work out, but all in all I’d recommend it.
