I discovered this hole in the wall two weeks ago. Consistently amazing each visit. Great take out. My favorite dish is their chicken teriyaki breast, salad, rice and vegetables for like $ 11. Its very good. I don’t like how they can’t custom make the chicken without teriyaki sauce because its already pre-marianted but the chicken still tastes very fresh, juicy, and flavorful. Great menu options and friendly service.

This is our favorite quick takeout place. They have a variety of prepared foods in the fridge, prices aren’t low but quality is great. Both the chicken and turkey soups are rich with content. Mac and cheese is a kid’s favorite. This is as far as you can get from the boxed stuff. But the absolute favorite is the fish tacos. We rarely get anything else. For those looking for a hot meal, the lamb is another excellent choice

Live near jacksons kitchen but never stopped by to eat. We got lasagna and chicken pot pie individual servings because I didn’t call ahead for family sizing. Perfectly seasoned food that my family devoured. This will be our new go to for family takeout. We loved it.

Don’t eat out very often and this is one of the reasons why. Placed an order for the Chicken Parm/Penne and a side salad. While the owner was very nice/place is very clean I was very disappointed with the food. The pasta was not drained properly so it sat in a good size puddle of water. The chicken was overcooked and dry. Because there was so much water on the bottom it thinned out the sauce so that tasted awful. I do see that there are good reviews for this place but I have to be honest. I will never eat here again. The meal cost me $ 14.00 + I left a tip.

Love there ready to take out dishes. Two of our favorites our there chicken soup, and stuffed peppers. Also love other dishes which they will make for you when ordered such as there chicken salad sub made on a nice fresh crusty sub spuckie roll. Have gotten to know the owner Ronnie who is very friendly.

Ordered a chicken parm sub. Chose this place due to fairly great reviews. Sub was medium sized on a french/sub roll. The cutlets were too thick for my liking and lacked much flavor. Their marinara sauce is your typical sweet«ANYTOWN House of Pizza» style or Greek sub shop’ish. Their sauce is not unique at all. The sub was edible but lackluster. The french fries were good, cooked nicely, salted and quite a bit for a small size. Noticed their take out dinners in the display case and seemed fairly small portioned for the price tags. 2 subs, 2 soda’s and a small fry for $ 21. Highly unlikely to return.

I’m slightly embarrassed how many times my family has ordered from here. I can’t get enough of the salmon meal, the burger(which we order for our daughter) is so juicy and delicious, I end up eating half of it myself. My husband’s go-to is the buffalo chicken wrap. We’ve tried quite a lot from the menu and we’re never disappointed with our choice. This is the only place where I don’t feel bad ordering from since the food is fresh and made with quality ingredients. The owners are so very friendly. We moved to Lexington a year ago and I’m so glad we found this place on Unilocal. As a matter of fact, I’m ordering tonight!

The food is excellent and is reasonably priced. Try the steak and cheese sandwich– you won’t regret it. The owners are incredibly nice and truly care about their customers. Added bonus: artwork by their young son, Jackson, by the cash register. Adorable.

Went here based on the Unilocal reviews, bullseye! The place is small, more of a pick your orders type of a place, three seats. But the food… Juicy teriyaki chicken, great steak with vegetables. If you are looking for tasty healthy food, this is the place. And they have pasta and other stuff too.

Jackson’s kitchen is great for both take out and dine in. Their prices are also very, very reasonable. $ 7 or $ 8 buys you almost any sandwich on the menu. If you’ve never been here before, I would recommend the classic club. They make it four different ways with roast turkey, egg salad, tuna, or chicken salad. I have yet to try the egg salad version, it just sounds a little strange to me, but I think I’ll try it next time I stop in. The other 3 I’ve tried and they’re all great. I usually get them on French bread. Can’t go wrong for $ 7.50. I would definitely give Jacksons kitchen a try if you’ve never been here.

Oh how I regret driving by this little gem so many times. Jackson’s Kitchen is located very close to home, however it took me much too long to give it a try. I went in after reading all the great reviews right here on Unilocal. The food at Jackson’s really does taste like true home cooking. I am a huge fan of their grilled chicken and grilled salmon dinners. The dinners come with delicious rice pilaf and a salad. Most of the menu items are somewhat high-carb, but there are some lighter choices as well such as the grilled chicken salad with delicious tender chicken. The food is always packed and presented nicely. There is very limited seating(one table) and Jackson’s is designed for mostly take out. Definitely a convenient alternative on those nights when you can’t decide what is for dinner or perfect for grabbing a quick lunch. The owner and staff are all very friendly and helpful. I am quickly becoming a regular at Jackson’s and only wished I had tried it sooner!

Very interesting concept: a mostly take-out place serving good quality sandwiches, soups. It gets crowded sometimes but it’s worth the wait. We enjoyed our foods. They do have a very small counter space if you want to eat-in, but count on a take-out experience.

We use Jackson’s for those nights when the family can’t quite agree on what we should have for dinner and neither my wife nor I have been able to get the market. The grown-ups in our family are particularly fans of the Greek salad with grilled chicken. The kids love the burgers, fries, and grilled cheese. The people there are incredibly friendly and the food great. For what it is – a family-friendly takeout place — it is wonderful.

Had the turkey club today and it was great! Came with a salad, pickle, and rice for under $ 8. Great value, and incredibly fresh tasting too!

Yummy homemade food. Stopped by on the way home from work one evening when we didn’t feel like cooking. I think you can part on the street while waiting for your food. Note that there is only one table here, not really a sit down place to eat. The people here seem super nice! I got a cheeseburger, which comes with fries and salad. The burger was nice and pink, and I’m really impressed that it wasn’t greasy at all. Fries were delicious, but perhaps consider packing the salad separately? I’m a weirdo and don’t like things to get soggy. =P The husband got a meatball plate with pasta and grudgingly allowed me a bite — delicious and also not fatty tasting! I think they put a lot of thought into their food, and hold off on the salt and fat. There is also a whole refrigerator case full of goodies like lasagna and soup that I want to come back and try!

First a disclaimer: I do know the owners. That said, I think Jackson’s Kitchen excels at tasty comfort food. The first time I went, a few months after they opened, I saw chicken cacciatore on the specials menu and asked about it. Turned out that was the previous day’s special but the owner whipped some up special for me. I was impressed — really nice flavor. I don’t really live nearby but I try to stop by when I’m in the neighborhood. My favorite is the grilled cheese sandwich with fries. Also, the mac and cheese is amazing — it’s not on the menu but it is often in the takeout case. Jackson’s kitchen isn’t really an eat in place but there is one table with a couple of chairs.

I picked up dinner here after living in area and passing by it oh so many times… we were not entirely impressed with the taste of the food. But I will say that everyone we interacted with there were extremely pleasant, the place was remarkably clean, dinners were packed up nicely but just not entirely flavorful. We had meatballs and chicken parm with linguine, although the garlic bread was a nice touch. I may give it another shot for sandwiches, fries and salad sometime and update afterwards as it would be great to have a near-by go to place for fresh, quick dinners. Love to be able to help keep a local biz going.
