Lexington County Public Library

My laptop more or less is on its last leg and have been using the computer lab at the main branch for Lexington County. The staff (mainly the Reference Staff) has been very friendly. There have been a few times I have left my flash drive behind and received a call from the library (since my resume is on it with my phone number) that they located my flash drive and it is at the lost and found to be picked up. Earlier this week, I came to library when the lab was full. The reference staff more or less is getting to know I only come to use the computers and one of the staff mentioned to me that there was a (minimal) wait and to sign in. Wait was only to be 20 minutes and was looking at some of the books on the lower level and the one librarian actually made it a point to come and find me when the computer was free after only waiting 10 minutes for the computer. Great staff!

I’m studying for an intense exam. It’s pretty impossible to get any studying done at home with my two dogs all up in my face (as they are at this exact moment) so I decided to go to the library and study and I am really glad I did. there are a lot of big tables that I can spread my study materials out on next to big bright windows that let a lot of natural sunlihght in. it’s great. Generally it’s pretty quiet, every now and then you’ll encounter someone who never learned what «library voice» is.
for the most part it’s a great place to study. I will get a library card and update you on that aspect later on:)
