Sadly they’ve changed hands and after a year of emulating the previous owners food methods(to keep customers), the new owners have now joined the«incredible shrinking food» Bandwagon. What once you could split is now serving for 1 with a slight increase in price. Tricksters…

As mentioned by another review, this place is a shadow of its former glory. We have been to this place few times since it changed ownership, every time they made a mistake with our orders and one time there was a hair in steak sandwich. We finally gave up on ordering by phone and went there in person and wrote the order for them, still there was a mistake with our order. Another complaint is the new owner doesn’t use gloves while preparing food orders, he answers phone, collects money and just walks over to the other side to make a sandwich! All prices have gone up since ownership change, while quality is not as good as before plus concerns with overall cleanliness. We have no desire to go back to this place. The biggest turn off is the owner is not wearing gloves while handling money and hair in sandwich.

***UNDERNEWOWNERSHIP*** What I’ve seen: Food still tastes good, lower but still ok quality(ex: watered town pasta sauce.) Raised prices and cut portions. Everything has gone up at least $ 1.50. Nickel and dime mentality(charging .50 for dressing/sauce when it used to be free.) Difficulty in handling busy times, but that is expected when a new staff is learning the ropes so give them a pass here. One caveat, ask for the price of something before completing an order. I saw one guy order a veggie calzone and was charged as if every single vegetable was a topping. Basically asking for a calzone with peppers, olives, onions, mushrooms, etc cost $ 20. The new owner’s defense was«it’s the computer system, sorry.» LHOP is a shell of its former glory and probably will never return. I have been there 4 times since it changed hands. Like I said, food is still good but I’ll only order if in a pinch.

Read the reviews. Ate the mixed kabob. Kids had pizza. The kabob was plentiful– steak tips were tasty and tender, as was shrimp, chicken was overlooked. Pizza looked great and kids said it was. Service was what you’d expect from a pizza shop — functional. They weren’t friendly, but I wasn’t there for the service. I was there for pizza. It was a little over-priced though. I’d go back.

The food is just as good as the service! From the new owner Mohammed to the employees Billy and Ina, what a wonderful experience! I absolutely love going in there to eat and visit, and do it weekly! Their salads are fresh, tasty and reasonably priced. I’m very impressed with this business as a whole! I would highly recommend it! They all work very hard and together as a team. I hope people appreciate them. I sure do! Many thanks LHOP!

Pizza is okay. Chicken wings are my favorite. Read reviews are their inpolite service. However, the place is usually for pick up and delivery. Don’t mind too much about how rude they are.

Once again, I went to the Lexington House of Pizza out of convenience. They are the rudest people I have come across in the fast food industry. The owner slammed my change on the counter and then I slammed my hand on the counter. I said«You are a rude son of a bitch and your staff is rude.» I told him to go to HELL! I will never eat there again. GOTOHELLLOUIE!!! I HOPEYOUREADTHIS!!! SIDENOTE: THEGIRLWHODOESDELIVERY — YOUGOTOHELLALSO. I WASRIGHTNOTTOTIPYOU. YOUWERERUDEANDVERYUNPROFESSIONAL!!!

This place is legit — best pizza in town by a mile. We drive 20 min. each way because it beats the pants off the rest of the local offerings. People want to complain about their service. Here’s what to expect. Typically Greek family that’s not there for please and thank yous. They work their tails off about every day and make good, cheap food. Only thing I don’t get it their chicken wings. But beyond that, these guys rock out.

They have great food, my favorite marinated chicken. I have had some attitude and rude staff in the past. Recently it seems to have improved. The portions also seem to be large and this place is always busy so be prepared.

Without getting into a blow by blow, I ordered a steak and mushroom bomb and it was just that: a bomb. The meat was unfit to feed my dog. I would venture to say the highly salted meat looked and tasted like it was cooked days before; the mushrooms [all three of them] were curdled; there was a place on the bun where a smidgen of cheese was visible, and the bun’s texture said that it had been heated in a microwave. I called and politely explained how«disappointed» — the word I used I was. The male who answered said, «So what do you want me to do about it, or do you just want to keep blowing your mouth?» This was beyond rude, but I kept my cool and asked if I could exchange it for a small pizza. He snapped, «Ten minutes.» I showed up. Kid getting pizzas ready for a delivery. Two women behind the counter; one gives me my pizza. I put the sandwich on the counter and tell her it’s an exchange. She says wait. The delivery kid nearly attacks me, SCREAMS there are no exchanges or refunds. [Turns out he was the one who answered my phone call.] OK, methinks, and give the pizza a –3−4-foot toss onto the table and turn to leave. The kid yells at me some more. The old man who owns the place shows up; we talk, he tells me about six or seven times how I shouldn’t «throw» the pizza on the table. No apology, no civility, no attempt to reconcile the situation. He only cares that I «threw» his pizza down on the table. I told him I’d been frequenting his establishment for 13 years; he didn’t care. Quite frankly, I’m flabbergasted that something like this could occur, especially in a hole-in-the-wall pizza joint. I’ve never expected the service or manners of an upscale restaurant, but to be treated as I was is not only a sure-fire way to lose me as a customer, but to get the worst review I could possibly give on Unilocal.Their food is mediocre, folks. If you want better and don’t mind waiting a few extra minutes, go to Mario’s in Lexington Center or Nick’s Place on Mass Ave, heading toward Arlington. I wish I had. You will get treated like a human being and will be served better food.

Everything is good here. EVERYTHING. Favorites include: Both the steak tip and grilled chicken salad. Chicken cutlet sub and Grilled chicken pizza. But really you cant go wrong with anything you order.

If zero stars were an option, that’s what I’d give. Some people deserve your business, these miserable people deserve to go out of business.

LHOP is one of my must visits whenever I come back home. A lot of reviews on Unilocal are unhappy with their«rude» service, but I’m really not concerned with that. If you want to go get waited on, go elsewhere and pay for it! You don’t go to a pizza/sub house for exceptional service. That being said, I’ve never had a problem with their service. They’re short and to the point, I’ve never felt like they were being rude to me. While I enjoy pizza of sorts, I love their Greek thin crust pizza in particular. LHOP is the pinnacle to which I try comparing other pizza joints to. Surprisingly, I often opt for their cheese pizza instead of their any sort of meat or sausage. One of the few places where I feel like the cheese really helps make the pizza. Additionally, I’ve never been disappointed by one of their subs or zitis. Massive and fresh!

Ordered 11 pizzas on a busy Friday night and despite the restaurant being full when I got there, it only took 20 mins. Great service! Thank you!

Customer service is pretty bad: not only they are rude but the also have an attitude and explain to you why they are OK to be rude since they provide great food. The pizza was OK, and fairly inexpensive but the overall experience was pretty bad. Avoid this place.

Although i love the subs and food here… i have never been treated so awful in my life by someone in the food industry. i have worked in restaurants for over ten years and i was horrified. i was a loyal customer and the people here are always very rude but this one incident made me decide not to ever go there again. i ordered two subs, a small pizza, and french fries. my order arrived missing the ff and when i asked the delivery girl she just told me no i didnt order them, so i called the store back… the woman just argued with me and told me no i didnt order them(i swear i did), and no she didnt charge me, and no I CANTHAVETHEM. i offered to pay and still no. then she handed the phone over to the guy who told me «dont ever order here again» and hung up i was left speachless and was trying to figure out why i was treated so bad since i hadnt even done anything so i call back to try and explain what happend but instead was talked over and told«you ever call here again i will call the cops and tell them you are harrassing me» UNBELIEVABLE the customer service is awful they are rude, arrogant, short when ordering, hang up on everyone, ect. i dont think anyone deserves the treatment i got over trying to get my kids french fries, so i had to tell her no she couldnt have them. just because there is good food shouldnt make this okay

I think every(insert town name) House of Pizza uses the same recipes, they must! It is almost always certainly Greek style thin crust. They must source all their supplies from the same place. We ordered a pepperoni pizza and an order of buffalo tenders. The pizza was pretty typical, good but nothing to write home about. The buffalo tenders were chicken fingers smothered in buffalo sauce. They don’t use a blue cheese dipping sauce, they just give you some Ken’s blue cheese salad dressing, which isn’t convenient for dipping.

I used to like this place, food has gone down hill, they really dont care either, very arrogant there !!! pizza is HORRIBLE !!! we used to get grilled chicken, sub, or salad, they keep under-cooking the chicken, they lost us !!!
