In spite of the garish yellow«restaurant» sign that harkens back to the marquis of Blockbuster video stores of yore, we were greatly relieved to find the food of this delightful home style Mexican restaurant to be truly worth the detour.

Waiter– owners son is kinda rude. When you ask for more chips he acts like its a big inconvenience or like you are overeating. Don’t judge your clients– we are here to eat not so you can make remarks about how fast the chips went! Food is mediocre. Not impressed. Sorry not going back. Doesn’t even deserve one star :(thumbs down.

The best enchiladas and supreme burrito I’ve ever had. Definitely worth getting off I-80 for.

Not far at all off the beaten path. Reasonable prices, wonderful authentic Mexican food. The venue is small, but comfortable. Nothing fancy at all. Service was also fine. Highly recommend. We will go back.

This is a quaint little hole in the wall Mexican restaurant. It seems to be run by a family. The food was good enough for us as we were passing through. You seat yourself, but there is a waiter whom you order from. There is a condiment bar in the middle of the restaurant that you are able to get up and use, kind of an odd concept when you have a waiter. The food was authentic and good.

This was a plesant surprise, more or less in a rural area off I-80 next door to a motel at which we were staying. Great mexican food in a casual setting. Good prices. If I stay in this area again, this is where I will eat.

My husband & I stopped in for a quick Togo lunch while road tripping from NYC to Denver. A pleasant surprise, quick, affordable, fresh & flavorful.

Best road meal we had on our cross country trip — Colorado to PA and back. Just a short drive from the freeway, this is worth it. Nothing fancy, just freshly made basic Mexican food with good salsa and fresh condiments– even chopped cilantro. Don’t waste your time with that hideous Wendy’s in town. It’s not pretty on the outside but the food here was great.

This is hands down one of the best Mexican food restaurants I’ve ever been to. Being in the city I’m used to the franchised Mexican restaurants but they don’t even come close to this. Amazing food, will come here again, and again…

This was a very authentic Mexican meal and VERY tasty! I had the Bistec Ranchero. Order it regular unless you’re accustomed to hot.

Coming from a place where the mexican culture is rich, this little restaurant brings me back. The tacos are authentic tasting and the torts was delicious. If I ever come back to NE and happen to be by Lexington I will most definitely be coming back.

Tucked away in the middle of nowhere Nebraska is one of the best Mexican restaurants I’ve been to in a while. The place is tiny and a little off the main highway, but well worth the drive. I had the carnitas and they were so well cooked and seasoned that I couldn’t stop eating. I once read something that said, «I want the food to be so good that when you finish your last bite… you wish you had just one more bite.» that’s what this place is like. I finished everything and really wish there was just one more bite. If you’re traveling down I-80 and you need a place to stop for food, check out this place. I’ll also add, I was raised in southern California and know some good Mexican food. Check out the other reviews, you’ll find similar comments. This place is awesome!

Great place! We were driving through Nebraska from California to IL and with very little food options we stumbled along Lo Mejor… Awesome tacos! Get the carnitas.

If the neighborhood is any indication this the real deal. It is on the other side of the tracks literally. The alpastor and carnitas tacos were over the top, just like being in some funky little hamlet in Michoacan. Well worth the trouble of finding it.

This is a very good restaurant. I like the three enchilada dish. The fish dish is also very good. But if you just want a delicious sandwich, don’t worry. Order the torta de carne asada. This restaurant is also very clean and nicely decorated.
