The name Luciano’s suggests Italian, but it’s really a little Mexican grocery and taqueria, tucked away in a strip mall at Clays Mill and Keithshire that used to house a public library branch. It has the standard meat offerings for their Mexican tacos, tortas, burritos, and gorditas. The al pastor and chorizo were probably the best, and on par with El Rancho Tapatio and slightly better than Taqueria Aquascalientes in Cardinal Valley. They also provide the standard red and green sauces. The green sauce was a little milder than others, seemingly pureed and strained for smoothness and flavorful. On weekends, they have menudo. The owner is very friendly, and while his English is limited, it wasn’t a problem to place a carry out order or engage in friendly banter.
