To me Bang Bang mean really fast. That is exactly what this place is. They have a like a great concept going here. Its Chinese food that is a$ 1 a scoop. They pile this stuff on and its served Buffet Style. You tell them you would like a scoop of this, a scoop of that, and an egg roll to boot. All of that for $ 3. WIN! This is really great quality food for such a cheap price. I love it. They do run a limited selection of food on their line, but what they have is worth it. The staff here are really friendly and serve you with a smile. I love that. If you are in the area and craving something quick, stop in here. I am sure you won’t regret it. YUMM

Great sushi. I love that it’s made to order and I can add or omit ingredients as I want. I like that I can also see it behind the counter before I choose what I would like.

Best Chinese food around, and amazingly priced! The wait staff are friendly, and it’s a fun place to get food. The parking options are very limited, and sometimes the other customers are obnoxious and rude to the staff, but overall it’s a great place to get some delicious Chinese food! I just wish the Red Bang Bang sushi also had Chinese as it is closer to my apartment.

My Lord. Best bang bang for your buck buck. Love this place. Why would you ever go to another Chinese take out restaraunt? Literally lived off this food when I lived on Limestone.

For the price, it is wonderful. In general, it is wonderful. I love all of the chicken dishes that they offer. A single order of anything on the menu will cost you $ 1. My only issue is that they do not currently offer their nutritional information.

I was in town visiting my sister. She suggested that we go to RBB. Aa a college student, she frequently comes to this spot. At $ 1.10 per serving, you can’t really complain about the food too much. I ordered the fried rice, spicy tofu, sesame chicken, mixed veggies and spring rolls. The fried rice is pretty bland and the tofu was terrible in comparison to other places. The spring rolls were fine and probably come frozen from somewhere else. The sesame chicken and veggies were ok, but again it’s super cheap so do not go in expecting gourmet. Think typical mall food court but slightly less flavorful. Portions were actually a good size for the price. I’m not a fan of the sarcastic rebuttals left on previous reviews. Take the criticism to improve not get defensive.

I question why the 5 stars. Really? Absolutely, the dirtiest restaurant where I have ever eaten. I can get far better Chinese in this town for the same price. The portions were so small, that we left unsatisfied, vowing to never return. I’ve been to the sushi place, which is good and somewhat clean.

My friend and I went at luncg time. I had the chicken and brocoli,(the brocoli was steamed to perfection and the chicken was nice and tender) chicken on a stick and fried rice. She had the sweet and sour chicken with fried rice, we voth had drinks for 8.10. Talk about a bang for your buck!(No pun intended) lol. Despite others reviews I didn’t find their food to be swimming in oil or greasy. We’ll definitely be back again!

wow. where do I begin? I personally believe that Red Bang Bang is heaven on earth. The quality of food is second to no Chinese restaurant in Lexington and this kind of late night availability is something I’ve only dreamed of. Not to mention scoops are $ 1 and you can be full from $ 4 of authentic Chinese goodness. Let me recommend to you a few dishes. I personally prefer fried rice to noodles. Although, most of my friends swear by the noodles. I also would suggest that you try the Hibachi Chicken. This option is not available during the wee morning hours but, it’s a lunch time go-to. There is one thing on the menu that I think everyone can agree upon: Crab Rangoons. I honestly have no idea what is inside these creamy, flakey wonders and I truly don’t care. They are the best things that I have ever encountered and getting 2 for a dollar makes me believe that there may be a God. Red Bang Bang has never done me wrong and I think it’s something everyone could fall head over heels in love with, just as I have. 5 stars all day every day. If you don’t love Red Bang Bang then f*** you.

As a student at UK I always wished there was a Chinese Restaurant besides Panda that was close to campuus and finally last Summer Red Bang Bang opened up. It’s definitely not the highest quality Chinese food in Lexington, but for the price it can’t be beat. You just pay $ 1.00/scoop and you can get as many or as few scoops as you want. They have lo mein, fried rice, and steamed rice. Then there is a variety of chicken, beef, etc. My favorites are the Bang Bang Chicken and General Tsao’s chicken. The staff is really nice and they’re open for late night on Thursdays and the weekends.

The food is really great for the price, especially during lunch. Not the best place to go if you want variety because they only have limited selection of entrees and sides.

I’ve been here twice with my college friends. The food is cheap, warm, good portions, and good to eat in or run with. It’s a cool place! I like the décor and the ambiance. Everyone just grabs a bite and does their own thing, with or without a group. I’m quite glad we have this place downtown and by campus!

My go to place when I want Chinese food. Let me just say it’s like the McDonalds of Chinese food but the quality of food is way better. Every scoop only cost you a dollar. It allows you to create as much or as little as you want and you don’t have to deal with left overs.

Cheap, late night junk food option for the nights I leave work late and don’t want to spend a fortune. Food is what you would expect from the Asian places that you can find at food courts. $ 1 scoop makes it a good deal!

When I heard from a friend that a Chinese restaurant was serving $ 1.00 scoops, I got very excited! I soon went with my husband and another couple. The logo looks so well designed and sleek, so I expected the interior design to be as well. We walked in, and I very was disappointed. The furniture was typical diner stuff, not sleek and modern. It looked so dark and dingy in the room, too. My husband and I ordered a scoop of friend rice, lo mein, generally tso, bang bang chicken, and spicy tofu. With a drink, it came out around $ 8 something. That wouldn’t be too bad if the scoops weren’t so small! I swear the employee barely filled the scooper up when serving our food. Our plate looked so empty even with 5 scoops. Normally my husband and I split Chinese food, and it’s the perfect amount. This time, we felt like we could’ve gone back for multiple scoops. As for the food, it was very eh. Typical Chinese. The lo mein was really flavorful, though. I liked it a lot. One thing that made me grumpy was that the soda fountain was out of syrup for a lot of the drinks, but no one wanted to do anything about it. I want to like this place so much. I hope the Fayette Mall location that’s opening soon won’t be as bad. I definitely plan to try it again once the new location opens.

Finally, a dream come true. Late night Chinese take out! Food was good, and at $ 1 per scoop of food the price is pretty reasonable too. The menu selection is kind of limited though. Fast and friendly service. Definitely worth a visit.

Affordable oil! Everything was floating in oil. The noodles, the rice, even the broccoli chicken was a puddle of oil. Not for the health conscious, but definitely appeals to the budget conscious. Speedy service, bright décor, simple concept… Terrible, loud music. I wouldn’t likely visit here twice.
