Riverbend Community Church

My son and I visited Riverbend on Sunday. It was a nice experience. Everyone was friendly and welcoming.
This is not so much a review as an overview of the service. (I just don’t feel «right» judging a church service.
The congregation wore anything from traditional «church attire» to blue jeans, with some even in shorts and tshirts. It was a casual atmosphere.
There are no hymnals, all songs are projected onto the wall near the pulpit. There didn’t seem to be a choir, but there was a contemporary band to accompany the songs. Women were leading the hymns and singing portion of the service.
This is not to judge the service, again, just an overview of the service. Worship is a personal experience and not everyone likes to worship the same. I like the casual dressing and atmosphere, where some people do not.
It was a pleasant experience and worth a visit if you are looking for a church home.
