Excellent chicken salad. This is a nice place to visit and unwind with a sandwich and coffee, while reading the paper. I like stopping in on one of those«lazy days». It’s so relaxing and the staff is extremely nice. A great place for a small town like Lexington.

My sister and I stopped here for dinner on a return trip to Atlanta over the July 4 weekend. Both of us ordered the filet minion served with a baked potato and grilled vegetable medley(brussel sprouts, carrots, peppers in olive oil) and a glass of Pinot Noir. It was delicious! Not only did we have a great meal but great company too. Our server told us about happenings and places to visit in Lexington. She introduced us to some locals who came in to eat and we all chatted throughout the meal. We really felt welcome and will definitely be back to check out the antique stores in town(most were closed since it was the holiday and we arrived in town after 5pm) and Goodness Grows(the renowned plant nursery). Thanks for your hospitality! Patty /Marietta GA

Excellent coffee and a perfect blueberry muffin plus free Wi-Fi and classic rock on the radio = a great start to the weekend.

SO glad Sabine’s is in Lexington. It’s a great place in a magical little town, super for a visit out from Athens, Augusta, Atlanta, or even for a quick stop while driving through. Sabine, Duncan, and Rolfe are wonderful additions to downtown, and the Coffee Haus couldn’t be more welcoming.

First of all, I am biased: This German style coffee shop and restaurant is run by my parents(I am their son, currently stationed back in Germany with the U.S. Army as an Infantry officer, Platoon Leader and part-time translator.) HOWEVER: They make incredibly good coffee. Everything from your more standard fare, to lattes, to elaborate German drinks, to frozen blended beverages and smoothies. They also sell baked German goods. They are completely authentic because our family comes from the Hessian countryside in Germany. Lastly, they are starting to make Currywurst and Bratwurst on their stone grill in the next couple of weeks(starting on December 8th at the Christmas in Oglethorpe celebration). If you’ve never had these German dishes, you are really in for something different, which is certainly what Lexington needs. Please support local business and try something new. Danke Sehr!
