I try to keep track of great patios in Lexington and feel bad for not mentioning it in my previous review. Suttons has a great patio, covered and uncovered! They also offer an acoustic play list on occasion. We didn’t sit outside on this occasion but have in the past and really enjoy it.

This was our first time at Sutton’s. Our waiter did a great job. I had the chicken Marsala which was very good. We were sitting inside and during are dinner we spent the whole time swatting at flies. I ended up having our dinner put in a box to go. The only other item was the table and chairs could be updated.

Gordon: yes my ordered was canceled that’s because it was takin over an hour for a delivery 10 mins down the street. After checkin my phone records my order was actually placed at 11:37p. After not seeing my food or hearing from delivery the man with in the quoted time(30−45mins) I called the restaurant back, and my phone records say the call was made at 12:35a. So There was plenty of time to follow through. During my call back, Thats when I was told«the delivery man just picked up your order». So at that time I asked the restaurant to cancel and refund my order because MYMEALDIDNOTARRIVE. I feel there is no need for me to pay for a meal and pay for a delivery fee and then have the delivery man expect a tip, after I waited far too long for a simple delivery.

Been here twice in the past couple months. Service has been great both times. The atmosphere is great inside but I prefer the patio seating that’s now open. The pasta is my pick! Had the burger last night and I asked for beyond well done and it was still slightly pink in the middle. Other then that the experience was wonderful and we’ll be back.

Came back to suttons to eat again since I had a great experience the last time. Unfortunately it was the complete opposite this go around. The server took 5 minutes getting to our table and took our drink and food order immediately. That was the last time our server came back to us. The food runner brought us our food, which at that time we had to ask for some bread as our server never brought us any. He came back with the bread shortly there after but still no server. One of the managers stopped and asked us how our food was, still no server. Our drinks are empty, our plates are almost empty and still our server never came back to us. The lasagna my date had was somewhat chewy on the bottom and hard at times and my dish was ok. After being done with out dinner for almost 10 minutes we had to finally stare down our server to come to our table, she asked if we wanted refills but we just wanted our check, she said she was sorry but to be honest I’m not buying it. Finally found her name was Maria and I only found that out because it was on the receipt since she never introduced herself upon greeting us. She then had someone else come to the table to give us our receipt since I guess she knew we were upset at this point. I don’t know if I’ll visit again. This was a pretty bad trip

I ate at Sutton’s after hearing nothing but great reviews from locals. I decided to give the place a chance on May 8, 2016 for a UK college graduation dinner with my family. The wait time wasn’t too bad considering the influx of people. The host was extremely friendly. After sitting down with the family and ordering drinks, we decided to let the graduate open his gifts from everyone. Our server Lauren asked us for our orders while my brother was opening his gifts. She seemed rather upset when we asked for a little more time to order, but I decided to give her the benefit of the doubt. We all felt rushed to order and so we did. Our appetizers came and we politely asked Lauren for silverware. About 10 minutes later, she returned to ask for our entrée orders but did not return with silverware. My uncle had to search around empty tables for silverware. There weren’t enough for everyone so when Lauren returned, I politely asked«Can I please get a silverware?» She replied in a sarcastic tone, «Oh you didn’t get any?» She then proceeded to point to my uncle’s fork and said«Look! He has an extra one. Why don’t you just use one of his?» My uncle felt very uncomfortable as it was his utensil set. Finally she walked over to the table in front of us, grabbed silverware, and slammed it right in front of me. Lauren then put her face about 6 inches in front of mine and asked me «Are you satisfied now?» I felt very uncomfortable from that moment on. After that encounter, Lauren refused to acknowledge me. I asked for a refill more than once and never received one. My brother’s girlfriend, on the other hand, was offered refills when her glass was a quarter empty. She was offered at least 4 refills throughout the entire dinner. Overall, the food was stellar. I ordered the spaghetti and meatballs, and the dish was absolutely delicious. Our check total came to be $ 154. For that price, I would expect much better service. I was extremely disappointed by this visit and will likely never return due to the poor customer service. Our server was extremely unprofessional. I understand that the place may have been a little crowded, but a good server at a nice restaurant should be capable of composing herself when presented with simple requests. I would give this review 1 star for customer service but I decided that the food was worth raising the review rating. I am not a rude person whatsoever. I always, always use manners. I was not rude to Lauren once but she was rude to me the entire time. I am writing this review to let everyone know that the food here is great but it is not worth the poor customer service.

Fantastic food at very reasonable prices. I’ve had carry out, I’ve had delivery and I’ve eaten-in with Suttons, and they’ve been great experiences all around. Eating-in: The atmosphere was very nice, it has a distinct motif. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the food was excellent. It seems that they make most of their food from scratch, so far as I can tell. Try the bread pudding if you can manage to save some room for dessert(that can be difficult, given the massive portions of an average meal). Carry-out: Completely painless and quick experience. I had ordered by phone and walked out the door with my food in the span of about fifteen minutes. For about $ 10 I had a very nice and filling lunch. Delivery: The food is just as good, and the delivery was quick. Within thirty minutes of ordering I had my food. Easily one of the best delivery options in the area.

Never disappointed here. Great onion rings,(huge) fish sandwich, several beer options. We’ve gone as a couple, we’ve brought a group of 12. The service is always friendly and efficient. Prices are reasonable for what you get.

I know Sutton’s has been here a few years and I had tried it a couple years ago but was underwhelmed by it. That was when it first opened I guess. It just wasn’t enough to bring Me back. We decided on a whim With friends to stop in for dinner on the Sat before VDay while we let the kids play at the parents night out. Even though they had a wait the bar are was still seat yourself and we were lucky to grab the last 4 top table. I ordered their chicken Parmesan. It may not be the best hands down, but it was good and the portion enough for 2. My husband got the flank steak and he said it had great flavor. Prices were in line with most Italian restaurants. I would come back again. My husband is t a big Italian fan but at least he can eat steak!

Very good service. Ribeye was pretty tasty and my friend got a pizza, which was good too. I’ll be back!

I’ve only had appetizers and drinks, and have only sat in the bar area, so my review is based on that. The atmosphere is fabulous. Tall bar tables that are actually large enough to hold appetizers and drinks. Several televisions(on silent) for the sports fans. Old black & white prohibition-era photographs for everyone else(Al Capone pics and several mug shots are part of the fun collection). Beautiful bar with lots of options, including a decent wine list. The bread & oil provided is amazing. Warm, crisp on the outside, soft on the inside — everything a loaf of bread should be. The bruschetta appetizer was my favorite; it tasted very fresh. My boyfriend and our friend enjoyed the pepperoni pups(deep-fried balls of pizza), which are served with marinara sauce. Those were a bit too salty and greasy for me, but my assessment may not be fair as I certainly wouldn’t have chosen to order it in the first place. As I said, the dudes liked them — and that allowed me to eat most of the bruschetta. Great place to grab drinks with friends. I will come back in the future for a full meal.

This place is located in the parking lot of Kroger on Richmond and Man o War Road. I stop in here when I am on this side of town and have a hunkering for Italian food. The wait staff here are very on point and nice. They tables and floors are always clean and tidy. Actually their bathrooms are usually spotless as well. I love that. They have great pizza, salads, sandwiches and pasta. When the weather is permitting, they have a great patio where they usually have live music for entertainment. It gets packed during warm weather so get there early if you want a spot outside. Those seats are a real hot commodity. I have never really had bad service there at all, which is pretty impressive. They also have Half Price Wine bottles on Wed. My friends and I love that deal. We kind of like the Juice. Stop in next time you are in the area. I am sure you will love it.

Stuffed mushrooms are to die for. I recommend the appetizer sampler, it is yummy. Meatballs and pepperoni pups that go with it are great as well. What can I say, everything on the menu is great. You could literally close your eyes and randomly pick an item from the menu and not be disappointed(I have before)! Yum, Yumm, Yummy is all I can say.

I ordered the Mahi Limone. I describe it as grilled fish on a bed of spaghetti with lemon, capers and garlic. Sounds great! WRONG The fish was WAY over cooked. Even lemon, capers and the tablespoon of chopped garlic that topped it could not mask the overpowering fishy smell. I ate a little of the spaghetti. I wonder if the regular cook called in? I was looking for something light and healthy. Well, I learned my lesson. I’ll stick with the bourbon barrel burger or any other dish featuring meat and cheese. Sutton’s usually has delicious food. They have a great happy hour with an expansive selection of drinks to please everyone. Service has been consistently excellent.

This is my second visit here. I fell in love with the massive portion of mussels on their appetizer menu. Regular price $ 10. $ 8 during happy hour. Totally worth it. Today being a weekend day they had prime rib I tried it. Sides. Delicious. Prime rib. Tender and texture approved!!! Free wifi is another plus along with their full bar. To quote the former California’s Governor’s hit character; the Terminator, «I’ll be back!» Special note about Alex the bartender because she laughed at my stupid jokes but still managed to provided fine service. Fyi. The made from scratch bread pudding with ice cream and a glass of the house red wine??? People; I don’t smoke. But I need a cigarette after this. Yes!!! YES!!! YES!!!

Let me start off by saying that the review is based 90% on take out dining which is how I primarily eat from here. Ambience, meh… feels like a chain, looks like a chain, etc… nothing exciting about the décor or the location at all. Menu, solid staple of great Italian dishes with sizable portions. Sometimes they’re excellent and other times they’re just okay. They’re still probably the forth of fifth best place in the city to get this type of cuisine. Service, well where do I start… it always sucks. Sometimes getting to-go food from the bar is just plain painful. When calling in your food they always seem annoyed to take your order and picking it up is even worse. Management could really fix this but they haven’t. Price point, a little on the pricey side to be fair. The chicken Parmesan with red sauce is what I always get. It’s been great for a while but the last few times have started to slip. It’s still a decent meal but not what it once was.

This is one of my go to spots for Italian food. I like that you can watch the game and have fun with your friends on the patio. In warmer weather they have live music on the patio. The owner comes around and talks with. This place has a nice Chicago style charm. With the black and white gangster photos all over the walls.

(3.5 stars) At the Incredible food show I had a sample of Sutton’s pasta and the bread pudding dessert. They gave me a coupon for $ 5 off $ 25 or free appetizer. It’s near my house and I had never tried it before, so this past Friday night I went with a friend. The inside of the restaurant is dark and the décor seems to be undecided as to whether it is fine dining or casual. After we ordered water to drink I looked at the coupon and realized that you have to order two entrees and two drinks to get the free appetizer. I asked our young waiter if we would need to order soft drinks to get the free appetizer, but he said no and we ordered the calamari. Later, he said that he checked with a manager and that we would need to order drinks to get the free appetizer. We didn’t mind and ordered soft drinks. He seemed to be new to the job. I’ve had better calamari at the big chain place in town. It was good, but a tad rubbery. For my entrée I had the seafood pasta. It had shrimp, mussels, and squid. I enjoyed the shrimp, but not the squid. The pasta had a light buttery and tasty sauce to it. I would order this dish again without the squid. This is a place that I would try again and hopefully update my rating to 4 stars! Next time I will skip the appetizer and to try one of their delicious looking desserts!

I can’t believe that I’ve waited so long to review this awesome local restaurant. Maybe I was afraid that the secret would get out. It’s just off of Richmond Rd and Man O War Rd. I used to come here when I was often on that side of town at the ice rink or when I would go to the movies, I would stop to eat here first. It’s within walking distance of the Movie Tavern across the street. The free starter bread with herbs and oil is a nice beginning touch. I’ve gotten the seafood pasta dish, which was excellent. I usually get a flat bread pizza as my meal my favorite pizza in Lexington, the BBQ chicken. I always have leftovers. The service is always top notch… Never a complaint from me about that here. On Wine Down Wednesdays they have half priced bottles of wine.
