Updating this review to add another star because my husband went back to the store today and was able to get my card refunded. He said there was a very helpful lady working there today. I’m giving a 2nd star to this review because my initial visit was pleasant. This was, of course, when i was buying something and giving them my money. Much different story when i tried to do a return 2 days later. The salesman working really wanted me to look around and make sure there wasn’t something i would be happy with, for an exchange. I placed my sales bag behind the counter, that contained the purse and wallet i wanted to take back. Back at home, i had placed receipt inside of the wallet for safekeeping. the receipt was still inside of the little card holder that they had put it in when i made my purchase. i never took it out. my experience with this salesman was not good. he made me feel like i was being difficult when i couldn’t decide on something i liked. At one point, he turned his back to me and said something to a co-worker. I made eye contact with that co-worker and something on her face made me feel like he was saying something about me. it was probably some snide remark about how i looked because it was a lazy Sunday for me so i was there with no makeup on and my hair in a ball cap. I’m sure i didn’t look like their usual clientele. I also ended up feeling like i was getting bullied into choosing a purse to exchange. When i commented that i felt a purse looked like an old lady purse, he laughed at me and said that purse is what he sells to 20yr olds and the pattern i liked is what old ladies purchase. If i said i didn’t like a purse, he made a point of saying it was some magazine’s choice for THE purse to have. He made me feel stupid and i just wanted to leave. I was done looking at purses and dealing with him. I announced that I didn’t want an exchange so the salesman went to my return items to start the refund process. i was still in the middle of the store, talking to my husband. i did not follow the salesman to the counter. After taking everything out of the bag, he came over to me and said he just needed the receipt. The little receipt holder it was inside of was there but the receipt was now gone. We ended up taking the original purchases back with us, saying we’d check at home for the receipt. nope not there, which i knew would be the case. I never took it out of the cardholder. So now i’m stuck doing an exchange for a purse & wallet I’ll have to settle on instead of getting my money back and finding one i love. Do not let your receipt out of your sight or off your person. I regret leaving my purchase behind the counter and letting the salesman take the purchases out of the bag while i was away from the counter.
