I did feel like I just visited New Orleans again! Went here for the twice and I will be going back. I have visited New Orleans and love the cooking… gumbo, jambalaya, blackened fish, beignets and chicory coffee. This is the best New Orleans food I have found in the Cola area!

Well, I feel like I just visited New Orleans again! Went here for the first time today and I will be going back. I used to cover New Orleans for work and fell in love with the cooking… gumbo, étouffée, jambalaya, muffulettas, beignets and chicory coffee. This is the best Nawlins food I have found ever in the Cola area! Nice atmosphere. Not necessarily fancy booths and when I walked in I wasn’t sure if we should go to the register and order or sit at a table. A waitress immediately came out and seated us. Another waitress immediately came over and introduced herself as Melissa and brought us a sampler board(small board/paddle) with six small samples of the various foods. On the board was lobster bisque, chicken and andouille gumbo, seafood gumbo, jambalaya, crawfish étouffée and red beans! The lobster bisque was phenomenal, as was the jambalaya and the chicken/andouille gumbo. These were our favorites, although I liked every single one of them. We decided to try something different for our meal just so we could taste some of their other choices. We ordered a cup of the lobster bisque to split as an appetizer. They gave us two small cups already split and each bowl had two pieces of garlic bread with it. Fabulous! We then ordered a fried shrimp Po Boy sandwich«loaded»(with tomato, lettuce and mayo). It’s as good as any Po Boy I had in New Orleans, and I’ve had quite a few! It was packed with shrimp! We also ordered a Voodoo Pasta with Andouille and Shrimp. The sausage was great and had a nice bite to it. The shrimp were large and cooked perfectly. We finished about ¼ of it and took the rest home, it was great… looking forward to finishing it off tomorrow for lunch. My wife had a Strawberry Abita Beer and I had an Abita beer that Melissa recommended… forgot the name, but it was good. We decided to order beignets to take home for breakfast tomorrow morning. Had to peek at them in the styrofoam box and of course try a bite. Excellent! Covered with powdered sugar and melts in your mouth. This is the best small restaurant that I’ve found in Columbia since we got here in ’03. Too bad it’s not closer to us here in NE Cola. But I will be back. Thanks Melissa for the great service.

I had dinner here last night for the 1st time! It’s very different from the norm in Lexington. I very much enjoyed everything we had! The catfish was great and all of the soups and gumbo were fantastic! The staff was great as well. 4 stars instead of 5 due to the price. I thought the price was a little high but I will definitely eat there again! I strongly recommend it!

I was excited to try this place, but turned out to be extremely disappointed. I feel like it was just expensive bar food… everything fried. The food was ok, nothing oustanding, but not necessarily bad either. I don’t think I will be back.

I was very excited to try this restaurant. I love Spicy food and was hoping to be blown away. I thought the atmosphere was very«chainy» and little better than a fast food restaurant. The food was good, but not great. Plenty of spice but not slot of flavor. The service was good enough, but also not great. Not sure if I’ll be revisiting this place any time soon.

This place is gold. Solid gold. The sampler they give you free of charge is one of the best marketing ideas ever. I went with the lunch combo which was a ½ po boy and cup of soup. I got the oyster and the seafood gumbo. The po boy is on a baguette and is probably top 2 of all time for me. The gumbo is simply amazing and they gave me another round of it free of charge. Everyone(group of 8) were thrilled with their meals. Service was great too. I’ll be going back for sure.

The Lost Cajun is one of my favorite places to eat in Lexington. This New Orleans themed restaurant has something on the menu for everyone – the selection of Abita beers is an added bonus. The fried oysters and the seafood gumbo are amazing. The seafood is fresh – never frozen. For dessert, try a hot beignet with a cup of chicory coffee.

Wow very surprised and my wife is Cajun and loved it as well. I really did not want to like it. I wanted the other no chain Cajun restaurant in town to be better but it was not close. Wife got home sick over Fat Tuesday so we ate at both places last week. They give you samples of their dishes which is brilliant marketing and we order something we would not have. One huge problem parking Succcckkkkkkkkks. This unfortunately will have an impact on us really becoming regulars. Don’t want to fight for parking spot in Lexington SC over lunch hour. Very bad location.

Living away from Lafitte, LA and being cajun is hard. I’m on a quest for some semblance of cajun cooking without having to roll up my sleeves and peel shrimp. I was skeptical after try another local«cajun» restaurant. The gumbo sampler was brilliant. just a little taste of home cooking to pull you in. We ordered the boudin balls and a shrimp poboy. The food was just like I was back home. A chain cajun restaurant that is true to N’awlins roots. Great job! Laissez lesbons temps rouler.

Not a fan. Was really disappointed in only having 2 lunch specials, not good ones at that. Food was mediocre. Definitely not worth $ 25. Won’t be going back.

Pretty freaking amazing considering it’s location. I haven’t had decent beignets or red beans & rice in forever… completely caught me by surprise. I actually ended up bringing an extra quart of rice and beans back for the next day! Nothing gets me to brave traffic on 378… except here(and target). If you live in the area, you get it.

Really enjoyed our dinner. I had voodoo pasta that was very good. My wife had the shrimp po boy both where worth a stop in for. Also now selling alligator bites for appetizers. They where of the chain cooked just right with a Cajun digging sauce. Highly recommend trying it out.

It was a casual and comfortable place. I loved the sampler that offered six different food items to taste. It helped us make our dinner choices. We got the red beans and rice. Seafood platter with oysters, catfish and shrimp. The catfish was pretty good. The cocktail sauce was unremarkable. As a matter of fact, all the condiments seemed like after thoughts. I think tartar sauce and the others could have been done better. The prices were ok for seafood but high if you’re young and eating on a budget.

It’ll do the job if you’re hardcore craving cajun, but compared to more authentic places(and, well, obviously the Bayou itself) the food is only okay. I’d be more forgiving if the prices weren’t as high as they are. I paid significantly less for a much better po-boy in New Orleans, for example. The sampler is a nice touch, though, and save me from ordering something I would have regretted. Service is good, if a bit hit or miss. Mostly, I’m always slightly confused as to who my waitress actually is with how much they jump in and help each other. It’s not necessarily a bad thing, just makes it hard when we are sitting around forever waiting for the check.

Upon arrival, I was greeted by a very friendly waitress. I was seated and asked about my beverage choice. Their menu had coke products, a few Louisiana based coffees and other beverages which was great because it gives you another option if you want to think outside of the box and try something new. They also serve beer and wine, So I decided to get wine with my order and a cup of water. Afterwards they brought over a sample tray where you can sample a lot of their different entrées to see you what do you really want to order. I decided to order the voodoo pasta which was very flavorful and I enjoyed every bite of it. After devouring my pasta I decided to go for a traditional Louisiana dessert called a beignet which is similar to a funnel cake. Overall, I hated great experience at this restaurant and I most definitely will stop here again on my next road trip through South Carolina.

Love the atmosphere. They let you sample the sauces before you order, which is great considering I do not like really spicy, my husband got red beans and rice and I got catfish. Food was great. Definitely recommend to everyone !

Overall the food was good. Lobster bisque was fabulous. The potato salad had a lot of pickle/vinegar flavoring and I would order fries the next time. Kids plates were generous. Oyster Po boy was great and loaded with oysters.
