Shit coffee shit food. We’re in Kentucky so there are slim pickings but don’t waste your time waiting forever for nasty stuff. I have yet to have an actually fucking latte in this town. So if you wanna get treated like shit by crackhead staff, harassed by aggressive homeless people, and waste your money so you can see some colors then you have arrived! Welcome to shanty town– I mean Lexington!

Third Street Stuff is a funky café with vibrantly colored interior and characteristics art pieces. With a designated parking lot and a good selection of coffee and food, Third Street is rapidly becoming my stable place to spend a Sunday morning. You can’t get bored with this place with in all its eccentricity. Even if you want to get some work done, this place has a great ambience to boost your productivity. And when you want to take a quick break, there is always something on the wall.

Third Street Stuff is colorful and cheesy and so so fun! Their coffees and other drinks are so tasty! I always get a frozen coffee drink and it’s amazing choice. The service has always been wonderful, friendly, and helpful. The shop sells a bunch of funky socks and little trinkety things, beyond just the coffee. The store is so colorful and covered in painted quotes, as well as posters for so many events going on around Lexington! It’s not around too much else, at least to me, but I think it’s worth the trip!

Sweet place. I loved the ambiance and color of the place. They had games and places to work n wifi, the best place to hangout and chill out. We had a lot of fun playing taboo n having the sandwich with desserts. The grilled sandwich was amazing and the cheesecake was good.

Cool space weird people… it’s ok to smile and not act so damn cool it’s just a coffee shop. I’m still giving you 5 stars though for having a great set up. *updated review I had to lower the rating as I can’t stand the arrogant people working the counter here on the weekends. I even tip you cats 2bucks on a four dollar coffee you guys are just rude. How about you practice all the colorful mottos you paint all over your building*

Easily one of my most favorite ever coffee shops. It was large with lots of seating, fun art on the walls, and chalkboards that patrons can write on. There is a great outdoor seating area and lots of fun colors both inside and outside. The staff was efficient and friendly and my coffee was so good, I got the mochanut latte.

The first time I walked into Third St Stuff the guy behind the counter asked«You’re not from around here, are you?» It was clear that I was out of my element in a place that felt simultaneously too cool and not cool enough for me. Since that first visit it’s slowly grown on me. True it doesn’t have the pretentious hipster vibe typically I look for in coffee shops, but it’s colorful hippie dippie vibe is pretty neat. And the coffee and food is pretty darn good too. They’re not coffee purists and I like that I can order something unusual and girly without the side-eye from the barista. It’s not my all time favorite coffee shop, but for good food and a cup full of sugary goodness it’s a great stop.

It took me a very long time to learn to love this place. I don’t know why but for the weirdest reasons I was never comfortable hanging out inside. I would just snag my coffee or latte and boogie. That being said, I have finally started hanging on site to sip my go-go juice in the mornings. What I have discovered is a multitude of cool folks pass through there from all around. Mainly educators from the Transylvania campus and surrounding businesses. Even some locals who live nearby come through no matter what time of the morning. What does that mean? Well it means you’re never going to have the same coffee experience twice. So resist doing what I used to do, drink your coffee in their oddly decorated facility and bounce around the menu a bit.

For whatever reason, Lexington is short on cafes and restaurants that open prior to 7am. So, out of desperation, I stopped at Third Street Stuff even though I really wanted a more substantial breakfast place. WELL…turns out what I REALLY wanted was an everything bagel with olive nut cream cheese. Sure, my blood sugar may not have thanked me five hours later when I didn’t have access to a proteined snack, but boy did my tummy and taste buds! The cream cheese made the meal, but the service and eclectic surroundings cheered my morning. Definitely come here. Bring kids, dogs(I think?) and enjoy some good coloring and coffee! Honestly, this is the most original café in the area — and they cater to early risers(and those who grudgingly pull their rears out of bed for early morning work…)

I’m not in love. This place is colorful and quirky and super fun. Reminds me of the coffee shops I used to go to in my college days. But I didn’t love my pastry, the service was a bit slow, and some of the art craziness got to be a bit cheesy much. I actually prefer the outdoor area where my senses can breathe a bit more. The drink? I had a secretariat and it was delicious.

I had a mocha hazelnut latte with whipped cream and it was so delicious that I wanted to turn around and order another one after I finished my first. I’m glad to see that there’s more seating now and I really like the outdoor garden seating, even in the cool weather. It’s a unique spot and I love coming here to catch up with friends.

Ooooooooohhh! Look at all the pretty colors! Seriously. So colorful. The art! And the yarn bombing on the trees! And all the items for sale and on display! So much… STUFF! Also, free WiFi, a decent amount of seating, drinks, and food. I ordered a chai tea latte(topped with whipped cream and sprinkles) and… GASP! They have Cheesecake Factory cheesecake here! It’s been years since I’ve had one of their cheesecakes and I just had to have a slice. So I did. Because I am awesome and deserve treats once in awhile. Ego aside, the cheesecake and drink were good — the perfect companion to a rainy afternoon here with my laptop. Why not five stars? Because, well, the place tries a bit too hard. Underneath all the color is a regular ol’ coffee shop with regular drinks and some cool extras. I honestly felt a bit overwhelmed and was a bit eager to leave. The fact that I have dreadlocks almost implies that I should love this place, and I felt some kind of invisible pressure to fall in love, but I didn’t. Yes, the color is awesome, the place is sweet, but not the best ever. Still, I’m glad I gave it a try.

A great place for yummy things and a boost of inspiration thanks to the owner, Pat, who is prolific in her art. My favorite drinks are the toffee nut hot chocolate, lucky charm and hot monkey. They have a great variety of loose leaf tea. Try the garden treat or white peony, if you want something unique. As for food, I love a plain bagel with pesto cream cheese and a slice of tomato. There are also some gluten-free treats, if that’s more your style. Need a gift or something to spark your creativity? Peruse the gift section. You’ll find funky socks, coloring books, pouches and fun little trinkets. I love this place and always make it a point to visit when I’m in town. PS– the exterior makes for a great photos!

I make this place my mobile office too often to not give this place 5 stars. Sorry it took me so long to notice. This really is my go to coffee shop if near Lexington. Love the staff. Love the drinks. Love the food. Love Love Love.

This place is great, very intricate and colorful. I came here with friends to chit chat and had ordered the turtle brownie which they warmed up for me and put whipped topping. It was very delicious and rich, perfect with plain coffee. Of course I opted to try some of their creative drink options, which was Isaac Murphy and it was very tasty. It was a hazelnut and praline latte and it hit the spot, would highly recommend it! ;)

This is the best place in town to grab a coffee and a snack. Come here for a coffee to go, for some solitary work over a couple of hours, or for a business meeting. The staff is always friendly and attentive. This place is a true gift to the neighborhood.

Third St Stuff is the coffee house personification of Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds. I was most impressed by the number of choices for sweet or savory snacks.(I like«a little something» with my coffee so that’s a big plus.) Staff is friendly and welcoming, plenty of seating choices, some with, some without outlets. Clean and upbeat, it’s a good choice for for working or relaxing, but perhaps not introspection. Plenty of parking in a private lot.

Although it’s the closest coffee shop to my neighborhood, I hadn’t been here in years. I used to go occasionally, but stopped going because of unfriendly and unprofessional staff. I went back the other day and what an improvement! The staff was nice, the coffee tasted better than I remembered, and I really enjoyed the happy hour half price drinks(5:00pm — 7:00pm maybe??). There’s also a lot more space. They took out the shop of trinkets in the front of the building and added more seating. I’ve only been a few times since, and even though it’s right by Transy’s campus it was not very crowded. It’s seems like a quiet place to go and relax with a good cup of coffee.

My kinda heaven– Good cappuccinos, good tea(they even have roasted yerba matte) and fresh food including great vegetarian/vegan options. Woot!!! Not sure why it took me this many years to make it here. I almost feel guilty for not becoming a regular customer earlier. Staff working here are probably some of the nicest people in town. Inside can be a bit loud at times(music) for getting readings done but I put on my headphones and worked away on my laptop while enjoying the freshly grilled veggie burger that was a great find for a coffee shop. I think what steals my heart is the outside seating area. Colorful benches lined up and my view includes the fence of Love Locks for Lexington, a small birdhouse that has free books to read, beautifully decorated brick walls and my favorite part, the trees decorated with knitted/crocheted items… How could you not like this place!!!

This is my favorite free wifi, not too busy, colorful place. I don’t like coffee but there’s always other«stuff»…you liked that pun, right? Ok, my comment was lame. One time I had a mint/white hot chocolate that I thought about for days. Most of the time, I just get a bottled soda and kick back on the couch. Across from Doodles, it’s in a good downtown location. Usually in that area, parking is an issue… not here, they have their own parking lot. They have board games and cool people. I always see someone I know here… that’s because I know all of the cool people, what more can I say?
