I’ve been going here since I was young! Lovely wait staff and the food never disappoints!

I came here for a quicky lunch with family who live in town. I like this location and think the service behind the counter is lovely — the place is also attractive and clean. I got a caprese sandwich — Mozarella, Tomato and Basil. It was fresh and delicious. My only negative from this experience would be that while I understand the staff wants to clean up the area, do they have to do it right where I am eating. If you did not want us to sit and eat, why did you take our eat in order and then direct us to this area to sit. It felt like a very passive-aggressive way to get us to hurry up and eat and leave.

What a terrific place in Lexington Center! It’s always been a great place for breakfast and lunch. In the last few months, we have started going there for dinner. What a delight. Really tasty dishes at prices that families can actually afford.(Somehow, restauranteurs seem to think everyone in Lexington wants to spend a ton of money for pretty mediocre food.) And the staff is just amazingly friendly. Lexingtonians…make sure you show your support! We need to Via Lago to be successful at night with the new, larger space.

Excellent, elegant, innovative comfort food. I had a hard time deciding what to pick on the fall menu. Spaghetti squash tartlet with duck and portobello was a very good(but not mind-blowing) appetizer. Delicatto squash risotto with roast chicken was fantastic, and the skin on the chicken was crispy as bacon. Next night, curried apple pumpkin bisque was delicious; lemon herb pan-seared mussels cooked perfectly with a subtle side of spaghetti squash regiano, but the garlicked spinach was a bit heavy-handed on the oil and salt. The atmosphere is charming and cozy and the two bartenders friendly and attentive. My food took about 40 minutes to come out the first night, and the(owner? manager?) came out to apologize because the first tartlet got overcooked, so they had to start over & comped me the tartlet, so that was nice. Everything was prompt the second night, but I switched from beer to cocktails and the cocktail recipes, while tasty, were a bit heavy on the mixers, making the core bourbon almost disappear. Still, I will miss this place & definitely make it my regular joint on work trips here.

I love coming to via Lago!!! It’s so clean and the atmosphere is very welcoming! It’s one of my favorite restaurants in Lexington. I work right down the street and we take walks every Friday to get lunch! Our main choice is 99 percent of the time via Lago!!! The staff is very friendly and they welcome us with a smile. They have a sit down restaurant and a take out section with a variety of delicious pasta dishes, quiche, Mac and cheese, sandwiches salads and much more on the menu. My favorite lunch dishes are the Tomato orzo pasta salad and the tortellini salad! I get those at least once a week! On break.(lol). I also have tried their Mac and cheese dish and and quiche which are also both amazing! Mouth watering too. My next two goals are to try their breakfast meals and their dinner sometime after work!!! Their rolls are delicious too I need to add as well. ;)

They just expanded again! Excellent food both at lunch and dinner. The bar is beautiful large and new. The staff could smile a bit more but they are nice enough. It’s always reliable and clean. The food is always fresh and changes.

Got here right in time for breakfast. Got the Logger Roll Up and was very pleased. The egg was well cooked and the sausage tasted fresh and not packaged. The prices were fair and the service was friendly. I would love to come back here sometime and grab some of the pre-made dishes they have, everything looked so good.

Me and my boyfriend love VIALAGO! The chicken scallapinie is his favorite. I’ve tried many things on the menu, and it’s always delicious. It’s great how the change the menu depending on the time of year. And the renovations look wonderful.

We had last minute stop at this restaurant and was pleased how they put us on table with nice view of Mass Ave. The serve was bit slower but the food were good especially the sweet potato clam chowder was excellent. Little bit pricey for regular portion of dinner. We can return this restaurant again in future.

On a recent Saturday night my wife and I dined at Via Lago. We did not have to wait for a high top and within seconds we were served water and bread. Both of us got the ginger salmon dinner which came with broccoli and jasmine rice. The fish was nicely seasoned and the rice was extraordinary. The only slight disappointment was that the broccoli was not fresh. We joked that we know oftentimes frozen veggies are more nutritious than fresh but nevertheless fresh veggies were expected for the price we paid. Nice atmosphere in the bar area. The dining room looked a little cramped and dark. Service was very good. We’ll give it another try.

The food on display(such as salads, etc) is not fresh. I had a thai roll the other day and it tasted it was at least a week old, the same with their tea breads.

Via Lago is a place that has seen several changes over the years, all good. I liked it when it was just a glorified deli, but it became one of my favorite restaurants when they put in the bar and began serving dinner. The menu changes frequently, and always has wonderful options, but if you have a hard time deciding, there is always the bolognese, which is amazing! The waitstaff is so warm and friendly. My family has gotten into the habit of going to Via Lago on a weekly basis, and it didn’t take long for the waitstaff to remember us, our drink orders, and our preferences. I felt like Norm going to Cheers!

My wife and I live in town and have not been to Via Lago in few years. The moment we walked in we knew we made a good decision to give it a try. The food was delicious and the ambience perfect. Our waitress was very nice and efficient. It is a gem right in town.

I love Via Lego. I have been coming here for fifteen years. The staff is like family, the food is like a home cooked meal, and the bar is pretty good too! PS. Love the bourbon selection.

The staff here is nice and friendly and makes it a hometown feel. I had the quiche and coffee. The piece of quiche was huge and it was tasty(but desperately needed salt). Good coffee too.

Great place in Lexington Center for take out, casual eat-in or catering. Not a fancy place, but the food is really good and the staff very friendly. They don’t really have a particular cuisine that they specialize in, they do a range of international items well. The menu changes frequently.

We could start with yumm! I did the olé«YOUPICK» trick. My surprise dinner was a pork chop from heaven! Don’t miss this place if ever in Lexington Massachusetts. Ask for Lisa she is the best. Joyce manages the place like a machine of culinary perfection.

Pro : — nice, efficient waitresses — a variety of vegetarian options — good«wild rice» salad, good portobello sandwich — nice to have a plate with a selection of 3 of their salads Cons : — cold salads: less tasty(tortellini salad in particular) — good food. Nothing extraordinary. I would definitely recommend this place.
