Yuci Ma, DMD

It has been an enjoyable experience for me to go through the orthodontics process with Doctor Ma.
I was impressed by Dr. Ma’s knowledge the first time I met her. Out of a few different doctors that I contact, Dr. Ma was the only one who pointed out the jaw issue that has concerned me for many years before I told her. She is very experienced and knowledgeable in this field, answered all my concerns patiently, and introduced the whole process to me. I was convinced and decided to work with her, and through the past year I have had a very good experience. Admittedly at times the progress is not as fast as I expected, but Dr. Ma was willing to accommodate all my requests and find ways to make it a better experience for me. To me Dr. Ma is a great doctor with great personality. I strongly recommend Dr. Ma.

My experience with Yuci Ma ended up being an extraordinarily negative one. Without going into too much detail, the bottom line is that she put braces on me a few years ago to move my teeth apart, creating 3 spaces in which I could have implants installed to make my bite more symmetrical and cosmetic. At the end of this 3 year process and the braces were removed, it was discovered that she took the braces off too early and that all 3 spaces were too small for any surgeons to install implants. When I brought this to her attention (along with the help of one of her colleagues), she categorically denied both taking the braces off too soon and also all the other dentists’ assertions that the spaces were too small. This came at a cost of over $ 7,000 and 3 years of painstakingly moving my teeth.
