Great hamburgers and chicken fried steak. This place is the best for a summer night with the kids. Hear the band play and get a glass of the homemade sangria. Perfect !

Excellent service– treated with smiles and warm coffee. I have a food allergy and Wendy helped me get the perfect dish! Bravo — highly recommend.

I can’t wait to be sent back to this area for work, just so I can eat here again. Good old fashioned southern food. If you get anything that comes with gravy, get the jalapeño gravy

Wow, what a gem! Fun, casual atmosphere. Simple, home style food. And you can’t beat the prices. We stumbled upon this little spot while out shooting at The Best of the West range. Now any time we are out this way we stop in for lunch or breakfast. Totally worth it!

One of, if not the best chicken fried steak I’ve ever had. It was not chewy at all and the gravy is top notch. Also had onion rings and jalapeño poppers as apps and they didn’t disappoint. Heads up on jalapeño poppers though, they use red chile, not jalapeño. Definitely looking forward to going back and try out the other options.

My husband took me there for the first time on Saturday. I ordered the Chicken fried chicken with jalapeños gravy. OMG!!! It was one of the best dinners I have every had. The portions was huge!!! I wanted dessert so I took the rest home. The leftovers tasted great the next day. The waitress Cindy was amazing. We even got to meet the very nice owner. I can’t wait to go back on Saturday for breakfast! This is definitely one of my new favorite places to eat in Texas!

We love this place! Their food is amazing! Today we tried them for breakfast and OHMYGOODNESS it was delicious. I ordered the God Bless Texas with jalapeño gravy and shared a short stack of pancakes with my hon. Yum, the best pancakes I’ve had. I just wish they were located closer to us and that they would sale their signature Tie dye Tees.

Dahlia Café has become a favorite of stop for my wife and I for a number of reasons. Dahlia’s got good food, large portions, great atmosphere, amongst the nicest waitstaff anywhere, all at a reasonable price. Make sure you save room for dessert, all their pie offerings are pretty great in my experience. Anyway, if you’re up north swing by, and if you’re in Leander or Liberty Hill you’ve probably already been going here for awhile and if not, well, you really you have no excuse and need to hit this place up immediately.

This is a great little place. I’ve been here twice now, and the food is outstanding, the service is great and the staff is friendly. Worth swinging wide for. They have enough room to accommodate all your distant relatives, and the food is fresh and fast, cooked to order. Best place in Liberty Hill, let alone anywhere else. Much Love!

My husband and I have been 3 times since we moved to Pflugerville at the beginning of August!!! And EVERYTIME we have come, we have NEVER been disappointed! Their coffee is amazing, the hot cocoa is out of this world and their desserts… are to die for!!! As far as their entrees… HUGE portions, always hot and fresh and waitstaff are all just so fantastic! We have tried the chicken fried chicken, chicken fried steak, fried okra, jalapeño cream mash potatoes, chopped steak and the list goes on… every entrée is just phenomenal!!! This place has become our staple to good olé southern country cooking, and will be a place that we will keep coming to!!!

I loved this place! We stopped here on our way back from Inks Lake. This was a highly suggested restaurant in Liberty hill so we decided why not? I ordered the Chefs pasta, my husband ordered the chicken fried steak, and my daughter had a cheeseburger. The food came out hot and very tasty! Our waitress was quick and friendly. We will return again, and would love to come on a night when they have live music!

I have had the pleasure to eat here for lunch twice now. I ordered the meatloaf both times, I really liked it a lot. For sides I got green beans, mashed potatoes, macaroni and cheese and pecan pie with ice cream. It was all good. Note: My friends got chicken fried steak and chicken fried chicken with various sides and they loved it a lot as well. My friend like the pecan pie so much he bought a whole pie to take home. Whats not to like: outdoor covered patio, parking in the rear of the building and a large play space for the kids and an outdoor place for music artist on some nights. They seem to be full of customers all the time. So I think you would like this place. Would I go back? Yes many times.

Worth the short drive if you’re in Austin. This place is so dang laid back and chill. You can’t go wrong with the chicken fried steak or chicken. Enjoy a cold beer or iced tea while you sit outside in the shade. The live music is always pretty good and not too loud. Oh, the service is always on point. Looking forward to going back!

Great atmosphere and very friendly staff. The wait was long, but we didn’t mind because there was some live music so we passed the time listening to the music and watching people dance. Once we were seated our waitress greeted us in a timely manner and we didn’t have to wait long for our food. I got the grilled chicken with green beans and mashed potatoes. It was delicious! I then got the brownie for dessert. The brownie was good as well. Overall the service is great, the food is great, and the time spend with family was perfect.

First time at Dahlias and it won’t be our last. Loved the chicken fried chicken and meatloaf. Desserts looked amazing but we were too full to order any. Our loss.

Unique setting — inside & out — and a genuine taste of the Hill Country! A seasoned 3-piece folk band played on the backyard stage as folks enjoyed country cooking and/or a cold beer. We brought my mother who was visiting(as this is a great place to bring out-of-town visitors). The menu featured items from healthy to Hungry. Shown in my photo: Turkey Swiss Avocado Wrap, Sautéed Fresh Spinach, Fried Okra, Chicken Fried Chicken, Dahlia’s Kettle Chips, Pork Chops, Macaroni & Cheese. I tried it all and it was all good. :-)

I am holding back on a fifth star until my next visit, which will be to sample one of their amazing sounding breakfast dishes. This café is a name of legend. This place has been recommended to me several times, and fortunately it is conveniently located on my way to Pilot Knob winery which I frequent often. I had my first opportunity to stop and enjoy a bite to eat just the other Saturday for lunch. As you drive up, the place is not much to look at from the outside. As you drive up it appears that there is not enough parking, but as you continue all the way to the back they have a very spacious parking area. They have a similarly large outdoor tree shaded seating area, which even has a swing set for the child in all of us. Some evenings you can enjoy music out here. They also have a good sized covered patio, and an indoor seating area. We were very warmly welcomed, as we made our way to the hostess awaiting our arrival just outside the door to the inside seating area. My friend and I quickly found a seat, and were handed a menu. Unfortunately, they stop serving breakfast at 11:00am. Their lunch/dinner menu has a good variety of comfort home foods. They make fresh kettle chips that looked amazing, but we consciously avoided for our current diets. They also offer a good beer and local wine list. We quickly ordered a chicken and salmon entrée with sides of cinnamon apples, green beans, mac & cheese, and corn. The salmon was surprisingly pink, moist, and flaky. I was in shock, as it was better than expected. My friend’s chicken was moist and flavorful. The sides were just as good. The beans tasted as if they had just been plucked from a garden, and the cinnamon apples a healthy dessert finale. My friend also enjoyed her mac & cheese. I overheard them mentioning that they do their best to source local and fresh. While I was here I couldn’t get the thought out of my mind that I was visiting with my family for lunch at Grandma’s place for some good, deliciously fresh down home cooking.
