Fitzpak

Fitzpak is located in the middle of nowhere, almost!!! It is on the corner of Hwy 146 and Hwy 105 in Moss Hill, Texas. It’s kind of like a convenience store and truck stop all rolled into one. They also have a little motel on one end of the place for those that really don’t want to drive any further for the night. They have just about anything thing you need with a restaurant and a good selection of drinks and snacks for those in a hurry! They do a lot of business especially with logging truckers in the area as this is in the heart of the piney woods of east Texas. The people here are friendly and helpful. They also have clean restrooms for in and out travelers. And the also have gasoline and diesel for those needing fuel. Pretty nice place for the middle of nowhere!!!

There’s not a lot of convenience store choices along Highway 105 and even less cell phone coverage. But like a mirage Fitzpak appeared with an offer of sustenance to a weary traveler. I pulled up a few minutes after their posted «We’re Closed» hours yet the lady working that day was kind enough to let me in to purchase a few items. The store was well stocked and the drinks were iced cold. They sell hunting and fishing licenses and horse tack too.
4 stars for excellent service and 1 extra star for the actual horse in the parking lot.
