Overall, I’m a fan of The Landing. It’s a sports bar, tons of TV’s and their expansion into an open air bar area with stage is a great addition to their space. They close the garage doors on the patio area in the winter but it’s still open and the old smoking area out front is still available. I feel like it tends to get pretty crowded, for a long time it was practically the only place in Liberty to watch a game and drink some beers. Back in ‘07ish, we would get there HOURS before a Chiefs or Mizzou game to score a good table. They do have a full menu, I’d describe it as a level above average bar food. I hear from family that the tenderloin is delicious but that’s not anything I eat. I’ve had amazing servers there and I’ve had crappy ones but more often that it’s good. They have a decent selection of craft beer. So, if you’re in the area, looking for your typical locally owned sports bar and dinner, this is your spot.

My boyfriend and I come here at least twice a month for mini-date nights. Love the two for ones and ALL of the appetizers are so good. They have the best buffalo wings in the Northland. I’m in love w the Patty Melt but I’ve had the burger sliders and I love those too! Really chill, easy going bar atmosphere. I’ve only ever had one bad waitress here but she was relieved of her duties while we were there:)

Love this place. Very good bar food and also a decent selection of beers on tap. This is a hole in the wall kind of place that is perfect for meeting up with friends.

Such a great place to get a drink and catch up with friends! Meals are great. Appetizers need a little work.

Liquor and beer can be purchased at ANY bar. Burgers and fries are something that sits around any corner. A bar is a bar, a burger is a burger. I’m reviewing this location based on ONE thing. Their wings. I order them to go mostly, I’m not a bar scene kind of guy. Actually the opposite. I hate pubs, darts and loud obnoxious intoxication. Never would I have even tried their wings without referral. I am very educated on wings, flavor and rubs. I have my favorites, I’m sure you do too. When taken to The Landing by my buddy, I immediately took his advice on the«dry rub Chico wings». Expecting just another run of the mill wing, I wasn’t tuned into the environment. They come out around 20 minutes later. And I’ll be damned if I wasn’t blown away on my first bite. Somehow I’ve managed to miss these by snubbing bar food and staying clear of the scene. I mean come on, how many times have you had the typical experience? None the less, these wings have hit the top of my list, including my favorites, MYOWNWINGS! Chico wings at the Landing get

Been here several times. Finally remembered to post. This place is great. I have brought customers here and they always like it. Great place for FAC or lunch. Have had several different entrees from the menu and it’s as good as bar food gets. Huge portions at good prices. Staff is friendly as well.

No one would seat or give us a time of day. Large groups monopoly all the tables and it was very disorganized. No one notice when we left since we couldn’t find a table.

This place might have gotten a 2 from me s couple of years ago, but overall it’s much better now. I’m conflicted with this review because my favorite thing about the place, their open air«patio» is also my least favorite thing. When it’s not packed with excruciatingly loud motorcycles and smoke, it’s awesome. They are also a Mizzou bar and will have the sound on for games, which is another big plus in my book. Try the chicken quesadilla. Awesome.

Good neighborhood bar. Not a chain. A few different seating options and good food and service. Seems like it draws in a variety of people. Has live music on the weekends as well.

I have to say my husband and I frequent The Landing. We always get great service and the food is great. I LOVE the steak salad with feta. The cubano, which is a stuffed jalapeño burger is truly amazing. There buffalo chicken sandwich is fabulous… love that you can sit outdoors all year round. LOVE there happy hour

A kansas city bar should never run out of Blvd wheat. The server told me they ran out this past weekend. It is now Wednesday evening. They also ran out of blue moon.

The landing is a great neighborhood bar with really good service! They have ample amount of tvs for any sporting event. The best thing I can say is their happy hour is on point! 2 for 1 wells and draft beers everyday from 3 – 7 and foods specials during the week. If you are a smoker they have 2 outdoor patios, with and without a bar. They have live music Fri-Sun indoor and out and trivia on Wednesdays. Legit

Some of my family started frequenting The Landing in the last few years, so I’ve been here several times. I love the fact that the menu is so varied, and everything I’ve tried, from appetizers to sandwiches to wings, has been good. The tater tots especially are fabulous. The service is generally good, and the beer is cold. It’s a great place to watch sports, as TVs are everywhere. I’ve enjoyed sitting both on the back patio and in the restaurant itself. Just a solid sports bar in the suburbs. That is a good thing.

This place is 5 stars 90% of the time, but sometimes you could throw a bottle in this place and your waitress still wouldn’t notice you needed a drink.

I really like the new area where the raise the doors to give you that outdoor feeling. I love going there and listen to a couple of my favorite bands, Dolewhite and Cherry Bomb.

This place has really upgraded in the last few years. It’s no longer smells like a smoking lounge. The TV situation has gone from sub-par to well above average. This review only speaks to weekday nights before 10pm, I’ve only been there on the weekends or after 10pm a few times. This is one of the cheaper places to drink in KC that I’ve been to. They always have great happy hour deals and nightly specials. I believe happy hour is always 2-for-1, you get two(12oz) draws for pretty cheap(~$ 2). On Thursday nights, you get a burger(choice of cheese) and fries or tots, with a pint for $ 5 total. Great deal. They dont skimp on their specials like many places either. The burger isnt cooked to order, but its still a decent 1⁄3 pounder with all the sides. They give you a copious amount of tots or fries. I can usually only drink 2 – 3 beers afterwards because I’m bursting at the seams. I’m not a regular here, but the service and specials are always great when I am there.

Had lunch here today with my office crowd. We all ordered the special, except one of us who ordered the cheese burger. The special today was a chicken salad sandwich and chips. I substituted fries for the chips and two others substituted onion rings for the chips. My co-worker who had the burger said it wasn’t as greasy as the last burger she had at The Landing. I thought the chicken salad was good — craisns, yellow raisins, or walnut chunks would have made the salad really good. There was an abundant amount of chicken salad on the croissant and also lettuce and tomato. The fries were the ‘coated’ fries and they were good — a bit salty but a good side for the salad. I enjoyed those more than I would have enjoyed chips, which were served in as a single serving bag of Lays plain potato chips. The lunch atmosphere is cool and quiet. Its a good environment to eat and chat. The place wasn’t packed but there were a steady stream of customers. Several menu items caught my eye for my next trip back. The BLT and the Fish and Chips. The Landing runs daily lunch specials and its a good location for a quick lunch.

As popular as this place is, I can’t believe it hasn’t been reviewed yet. The Landing seems in many ways at first like a typical suburban sports bar, but it’s locally owned and has the feel of a local place. The food is pretty good, with different daily happy hour specials. Drinks are also half price during happy hour, making for a great deal. There’s regularly scheduled live music. UFC and other sports events are featured here, and there’s also Golden Tee tournaments. Our server was friendly and attentive, and made sure our drinks never went dry. Business is down considerably since the smoking ban, but it should rebound soon. There’s a shaded patio at the west end of the place. The only downside is that there’s often a cover charge on weekend evenings. Oh, I almost forgot to mention — help yourself to free popcorn at the bar.
