My wife and I were looking to buy a bike for her birthday. We tried a couple of other places in the area but they were either too busy to help us, too expensive, or both! Chris Cycle was a welcomed find. 1st off, the customer service was outstanding. The staff didn’t belittle us because we didn’t know how to ‘talk the talk’. Everyone we talked to there took the time to listen to us and help us figure out the best bike for my wife. In our case we didn’t need a top of the line $ 1000 bike we just needed something in the $ 300-$ 500 range. On our visit they let my wife test ride several bikes. There was never any pressure to buy that day. They really understood that to us, buying a bike is a longterm purchase. We took about 2 weeks to think it over after our initial visit. When we returned the staff remembered us and what we talked about. They took the time to let my wife re-test ride her bike. In the end we went home with the bike my wife wanted(and loves). Very pleased with the overall customer service. Please check this place out when shopping for a new bike!

Best Bike shop I’ve ever been to! Great customer service & prices. All other bike shops I’ve ever been to have made me feel like an idiot; Chris is always helpful & takes a moment to explain. Go here!

I was turned away by an arrogant bike shop in Mundelein for an urgent repair so I could ride in the Bike the Drive with my family this past weekend. These guys bent over backwards to order the part in record time and got my bike ready for the event. I would have paid them double — a group of great guys who simply love helping bike enthusiasts. I couldn’t have been more pleased with their service and price.

Well, I went here because it was on the way home from work. I needed two tires/wheels brought up to speed. One had a flat. When I dropped them off, they told me it’d be two-three days. Call after a week. Nope, they’re not done. Call after two weeks. Yes, they are finally done. Go to pick them up. The price was higher for tube replacement and tuning than they originally quoted. One tire was replaced since it had blown through it. They mentioned that they used a slightly bigger tire, but it would be ok. No, it was NOT. I had to fiddle with my kickstand and other things to make sure the wider tire didn’t hit anything. This was an older Schwinn mountain bike. How hard is it to replace a tire with the same size? If I ever have to do bicycle stuff in the future, I won’t be going here.
