We had Pad Thai and Massaman green curry. Ordered both mild. The curry was still really spicy, but delicious.

Okay first off, the Thai tea? SO, SOGOOD. Although the Unilocal reviews were iffy, I was pleasantly surprised by the level of service and the quality of food. Each of us are picky and always have modifications(yes, we’re THOSE kind of customers), but the waitress was able to keep up fairly well. We ordered the papaya salad, some vegetable rolls which I forgot the exact name of, sweet and sour vegetable stir fry, and pad Thai. I’m not a fan of papaya normally, but I absolutely LOVED the papaya salad. Do give it a try. The waitress was reasonable attentive with a few forgetful items here and there, but we weren’t bothered — the food was pretty good. I commend her for being able to put up with my family of finicky eaters and their demands. It’s priced moderately, like normal Thai places I’ve frequented elsewhere. Pretty appetizing food for a decent price. I’ll definitely be coming back next time I’m in Kauai.

I can’t advise you eat here. The peanut sauce is more like a slab of peanut butter in oil and the Pad Thai left me sad. But the gentleman that worked there was pleasant.

When I go to Lihue and I’m hungry, I go to Gingbua. There are so many yummy dishes and they are so awesome about making them vegan. The service is quick and the staff is very friendly. Once I accidentally left my credit card there and they stayed late so I could come and retrieve it.

We went to the restaurant based on Unilocal reviews and we’re very disappointed. My wife and daughter had the spicy bean tofu and fell sick that night. My wife threw up. Additionally had a very rude waitress. I would recommend against going here.

We have dined here twice since our visit to Kauai. My husband and I both ordered completely different entrees each visit and throughly enjoyed both times! Pad Thai great! Drunken noodles also a hit! And seafood medley were fantastic! Friendly and prompt service! Best part was byob! We live in Dallas and have many great Thai restaurants, Gingbua is worth checking out! Dine out on the patio for view of ocean.

This was a great find! They welcomed us in right before closing at 9 o’clock, great friendly service. The food was wonderful, especially the yellow curry shrimp and chicken satay.

Arguably the best pad thai I’ve ever had. Fair price and very speedy service. No more that 10 minutes from ordering had we eaten our appetizers and gotten our main dish.

Ok… to start off the waitress took our order with a pile of nasty, dirty plates in her hand that she just picked up from another table. Disgusting… who the hell does that? She then brought my pregnant wife a plate of mixed seafood pad thai. She ordered chicken. I got the TASTELESS sweet and sour pork. There were 3 very very very little pieces of pork in my meal and tons of other crap. I complained about the amount of pork because I was very hungry. She hesitated and said she had to go ask. She came back and said there was nothing she could do because I got what they served. i told her i didn’t want it and she said she would still have to charge me. We paid, left and went downstairs and got a delicious pizza. Eff this place!

Reliably tasty Thai food. Bring your own beer or wine as they don’t have a liquor license. They do not charge a corkage fee. Nice lanai to eat on. Very pretty at sunset. You can see Kalpaki bay and the kipu Kai Rodge.

The restaurant closes at 9pm. Like most places on Kauai. Waitress was very professional and smiles when serving. Puts you in a good mood. The food came quick! Had chicken pad thai and beef Thai fried rice which were very good.

Bait and switched by pics posted outside only to find out that they no longer served the items. Disappointed. Service however was quick which is always nice when you need water refill. Ordered spring rolls and crispy tofu which was pretty tasty with the sweet chilly sauce. Pad Thai and tom yum goong soup was a bit disappointing though. All in all it wasn’t a wow…

The waitress was very friendly and eager to please. Since we were the only ones there it wasn’t difficult to do. We ordered Lemon Grass Soup, Vegetables and chicken in Peanut Sauce and brown rice. The soup was full of uneatable items and a few shrimp. No vegetables, however the broth was quite tasty. The vegetables in the next dish were cooked perfectly, but had only four small pieces of chicken. Chunky peanut butter was served for the sauce instead of an actual sauce. I’ve made better myself. The small portion of brown rice was dry and seemed like it was days old. I don’t recommend eating here, especially for the amount of money we spent.

Delish ! I was super leary to come here because I use Unilocal as my guide and this place doesn’t have that many stars but man am I glad we tried this ! My hubby got green bean chicken and it was amazing. I got the drunken noodles and I love spicy so I ordered it spicy and let me tell you… spicy means burn your face off hot… it was kinda too hot to eat. but the flavor was delish. Come here.. Avoid kalapaki Joe’s and come here !

We came here on a Saturday night. It was fairly empty because there was a televised fight and everyone was at Kalapaki Joe’s. It was convenient for us as we were at the Marriott across the street and after wandering a bit through all of the local eateries this seemed like the best place for us that night. I had read the Unilocal reviews prior to coming here, and had been a bit leary but was very pleasantly surprised at how delicious the food was. I had the spicy basil chicken, which had plenty of fresh veggies. I ordered it extra spicy and was not disappointed. The flavor of the sauce was excellent. My hubby had the chicken pad thai and enjoyed that as well. The best part was that I had leftovers for lunch the next day! We would definitely return!

This is a decent Thai spot. It did satisfy my craving for Thai food here on Kauai. The chicken pad Thai was pretty good, but the amount of chicken was fairly poor. Only counted a couple of pieces. My wife had the lovers noodles veggie style, and the broth was good along with the vegetables. I probably won’t go back here unless I’m in a pinch and really need Thai. Will probably try a different place.

Chicken satay. If you come here, which you should, you must get the chicken satay. It is to die for. Everything else we ordered was very good as well. Definitely recommend.

We were staying at the Kauai Marriott Resort just across the street on Kalapaki Beach, so we walked over to the Harbor Mall a couple of times in search of some different food options other than what was on the property of the resort. We had noticed a lit up «open» sign towards the rear of the Mall, so we thought we’d take a look. Upon closer inspection we saw that it was a Thai restaurant. It was getting later and we were already pretty hungry after a long day in the sun at the pool, so we all agreed that Thai food sounded pretty good. A friendly hostess /waitress immediately greeted us and suggested it was a good night to sit out on their balcony and to take in their view. We were seated next to a couple of other groups, which would be a sign that it’s a decent restaurant right? Well it seemed like some nice breezy weather to be dining outdoors, but we immediately caught wind of some not so happy smells. We guessed we were catching lovely whiffs of a nearby dumpster for the center. Not only that there were some strong body odors coming from a neighboring guests as well. We thought about relocating ourselves indoors, but decided to stick it out and to only hope things would get better. We quickly placed our orders for our curry dishes and were delivered our food pretty promptly. The curry dishes were a little too runny for our likings and the vegetable choices in our curries weren’t of the standard we were used to back home. We also would have liked to have seen more sticky rice offered with the curries. There wasn’t enough in our bowls for our dishes. We didn’t complain. We just quickly ate our meals, paid our bill and left, not wanting to take any leftovers with us. Between the so-so meals and the smells, I don’t think we’ll be back. =(
