Kauai Endodontics

I was referred to see Dr Chu because of pain I was having on an old root canal. When I made the appointment it was very quick and easy plus the appointment was scheduled less than 2 weeks later. Also the administration side was very friendly and accommodating with the entire process.
A week after the surgery I experience some pain so I called Dr Chu office on a Saturday and left a message. Dr. Chu called me back less than 5 min later on his day off, and for me that’s shows a professional who really cares about the people he service. I would highly recommend Dr Chu and his staff for any professional dental work.

I recently visited Kauai with some relatives, and during our trip, my ten year old cousin complained of constant throbbing toothache pain. Since he was visiting and it would be awhile before he could return to his home in the mainland, I was referred to Dr. Chu by my dentist on Oahu and considering how urgent this case was, Dr. Chu and his staff were more than helpful to get us in as soon as possible to address my cousin’s dental issues.
The staff was so welcoming upon our arrival, they greeted me and my cousin with such warmth that my cousin slightly felt more assured as we sat down. We were quickly met by Dr. Chu, a genuinely professional individual that invoked such confidence that I could tell right away that my cousin was in good hands.
Upon observation, Dr. Chu diagnosed that my cousin required a root canal. I myself have never had a root canal done, thus I was concerned for my cousin. Dr. Chu noticed my concern and took the time to breakdown the procedure, carefully answer all of my questions, and at the same time, comforted my cousin to where he was relaxed and ready for the procedure.
After a quick and successful procedure, Dr. Chu was very personable, inquiring about our visit and even offered some recommendations as what to check out on the beautiful Garden Isle. On top of that, he sat down with me to explain what side effects to look out for and how to address them.
People dread going to the dentist but surprisingly after this experience, my cousin was very pleased with his visit, words I thought I’d never say. I too experienced such pleasure that if I ever need to address any endodontic related issue, I would schedule an inter island flight in a heartbeat to pay the wonderful staff and Dr. Chu of Kauai Endodontics a visit!

I was having a great time in Kauai last week… unfortunately I cracked my tooth on a rice cake of all things. Long story short I had a cavity n I needed to get a root canal. I was going to wait to get back home but I was in a lot of pain and I was referred to see Dr. Chu at Kauai Endodontics. I’ve never even heard of an endodontist before!
I was a little «difficult» let’s say. But the staff was very patient n friendly.
I was suprised they were able to see me so quickly. And I didn’t have to wait that long to be seen. The time went by quickly n I was able to keep my mind off of the cavity because the lady at the front desk asked me about my trip, etc. She was so sociable that I felt like I was chatting with a friend. The assistant was also friendly. The equipment was clean and looked better than the equipments that I’ve seen at my previous dentist office.
Dr. Chu was surprisingly gentle, I even fell asleep for a little bit! I was really nervous. He explained the process n was very patient n reassuring. After the root canal he took a few minutes to explain what the side effects might be n what I should do if it happens.
What impressed me about this office is that they even called me the next day to see how I was doing!
