My wife and I came here soon after checking into the Kauai Beach Resort. Jetlagged, and starving after a long day of flying, we decided to come here because we were exhausted and didn’t have a rental car to find somewhere to eat in Lihue or Kapaa. Also, Shutters was much less intimidating to us than Naupaka Terrace. So we had a very mediocre meal at Shutters. I had a burger that was average, and my wife had French dip that wasn’t much better. I will say it filled us up good though, and it was enjoyable to finally have some real food. We don’t drink, so I cannot speak for any of the cocktails and Mai Tais, but the food is just ok. If you’re looking for something cheaper than Naupaka on the resort, head either here or Driftwoods. Pick your poison: Driftwoods — Poolside dining/ocean view Shutters — Live music

the female waitress in the evening was extremely friendly, unfortunately i didn’t catch her name they have good drinks here. the pupus are on so-so, so you’re best off just coming for drinks. its open late for hotel guests, they have live music nightly which is a treat, and open air seating

Staying here at the Marriott for one week, decided to try this place since its in the same building. Food was great, had an order of chicken wings(came with 7) wife had Cesar salad with grilled chicken along with 2 drinks. Bill was almost 60 dollars. Great restaurant but very expensive. Try it, won’t be disappointed unless cheap.

They have a great drink selection and the ambiance/location are amazing. There was live music and hula dancing while we were there. The onion soup was great and the drinks were delicious. Our server was really attentive and very helpful. The fish sandwich wasn’t my favorite and neither was the seared ahi. I expected better for the ahi especially. Overall the establishment was pretty decent.

The rain kept us in so we resorted to the nearest restaurant!!! Not a bad choice– the ambience was very tropical, old plantation feel– We had the seared ahi tuna(small but tasty), the fish tacos(again, small but tasty) but the surprise was the edamame hummus with naan bread(I could ve just had that)! Keiki options were great!!!

Liked this place. Surprised to find that they serve gluten-free pizza, that tasted awesome. Furukaki fries are a must. Service was exceptional, especially considering that we had a toddler with us. Good beer selection, great atmosphere, and live entertainment make for a fun evening. I didn’t notice how the prices were. We charged the meal to our room.

At the Aqua Kauai Beach Resort, where we stayed. Off the lobby overlooking the pool. An updated Raffles feel. Does a brisk business with the timeshare crowd across the way. Good happy hour specials, both food and drink.

The menu is limited but the service is friendly and good. I had the shutter salad which was a simple salad with nuts and blue cheese. I enjoyed the atmosphere a great deal.

Not bad. I really like the cheeseburger and fries here, along with a simple side salad! The burger is a little over priced but I left pretty satisfied, no complaints:)

Cool location if you’re staying at the Kauai Beach Resort and the food was good but be prepared to spend some money. They did have live music that was very good, but it was really hot in there, even at night.

French Dip Sliders r good. Staff are really nice. Watched the Blackhawks outdoor classic here at Soldier Field and the bartender noticed and put it on the bigger TV4 «Baby G»
