Canine Complex

The dogs love boarding here! One of mine has a nervous habit of over-​grooming his sister’s coat, so we know when he’s really stressed based on the holes chewed in her fur. He picked up this habit at another boarding facility (too many dogs out all the time and ours were separated because of the size difference), but when we picked them up from Canine Complex, her coat was in perfect condition — better than when we dropped them off! They get to play frequently in the huge grassy yard with small groups of dogs that are as energetic as mine are, but they also have plenty of downtime, so it works out great. The owners are also professional dog trainers, running this business out of their home, and they’ve said they would even take our dogs in the middle of the night if some emergency ever came up. The only downside is we tend to get a bit of a lecture at drop-​off and/​or pick-​up about either the dogs’ weight or their need for obedience training. I don’t mind because I know it just means the owners care and are knowledgeable about our dogs, but it irritates my husband, so I thought I’d mention it. ;-P
