Was looking for a local NY pizza place and saw this on Unilocal.The gentleman that took our order was really nice! I got the lunch special of 1 slice of pizza with 2 toppings, a salad, and a drink for $ 5 and some change. There are other lunch specials too! The pizza was delicious. Nicely thin, slightly crisp, with fresh ingredients. The little one actually prefers this place over other pizza places we’ve been too. So glad it’s near by, we will definitely come here more often.

This is not good NYC pizza. The crust is tasteless and not crispy. The cheese is not cheesy. I have had better frozen pizza. However, Izzy was friendly. The restaurant was clean and big enough for parties and meetings.

A buddy of mine was raving an raving about this place, but we weren’t able to make it for one reason or another.
Today… After a little more than a year of talking about this place my buddy finally took me, and may I say it was one of the best pizzas I’ve tasted!
The sauce and the cheese was perfect the toppings (pepperoni and sausage) only made the pizza even better!
The old saying don’t judge a book by its cover is key when coming to this place. It physically doesn’t look like the best place for a pizza place, but was I wrong!
It was AMAZING! And the wings were really good too!
It’s a must if you want some really good pizza if you’re in the area!

This is without a doubt one of the best pizza places I have been to outside of the NY area. The pizza is absolutely perfect, with a thin crust and flavor just like a pizza straight out of Brooklyn. Definitely will be coming back next time I’m in town. Great spot to eat in with a few friends/​family.

I come to this place almost weekly and never had a bad experience. This food is high quality and would recommend it to anyone in the metro area. Great to see a family owned business; instead of your typical chain restaurants that are way too common around here. Once you eat at this place, any other pizza seems second rate.

With about 5 other pizza joints within a 3 mile area, I ALWAYS choose Izzy’s. Run by a terrific family with friendly service, Izzy’s has fresh ingredients, and the most wonderful pizza! My kids LOVE the grilled chicken alfredo, and a favorite of mine the the buffalo chicken pizza, but I’ve never had anything there that wasn’t excellent quality and lovingly prepared. Salads are delicious too, and all for a very fair price. Once I forgot my credit card at home after placing my order, and I was going to cancel the order, but Izzy said, «you pay next time. I don’t want to lose a good customer.» Now THAT’s REAL customer service!

I am from New York, pizza is serious business to us. With that said, when I’m home sick I order a pie from Izzy’s. Izzy and his family are some of the nicest people I’ve ever met. The pizza is the best «NY» style pizza in town.

Do yourself a favor… go to this pizza place!!! The best pizza place in Lilburn… love the dough and the sauce is Sooooo good… it’s not that oily and the slices are HUGE!!! The owners are super cool as well… the bad thing about this place is that it’s too close to where I live!

Fantastic!!! My husband and I have extremely different tastes in food and Izzy’s is the one place we both absolutely love. He’s very picky about pizza and says this is the best around. I’m not a big fan of pizza (unless it has lots of different toppings!) but everything on the menu I’ve tried has been wonderful. Soup, pasta, garlic knots, flan, salad (excellent house-​made Caesar dressing,) you really can’t go wrong. We haven’t tried the subs, although they look great, because we always do take-​out and figured the bread would get soggy on the way home.
Can’t give enough praise, a truly excellent place!

I went there yesterday for late lunch. I saw on Unilocal the reviews and thought to give it a try. I ordered a slice of olive pizza and a slice of mushroom pizza (I believe $ 2.25 per slice plus 65ish cents per topping of choice). I waited about 6 – 7 minutes before the food came out to my table. Right away I could tell that they used a cheese pizza already made beforehand so all they did was put toppings on and put in the oven for couple minutes. I was disappointed because my food was not fresh and was dry. I wanted fresh pizza from scratch and straight out of the oven with sauce and cheese bubbling. Few hours old to day old pizza… no.
The guy working was very nice. The place is spacious with plenty of tables. There is Lion Club Park right next to the plaza– it is a nice park where the trail leads you to the Lilburn Park on Main Street. There is also a gigantic, beautiful Hindu temple on the same street which is open to the public.

This place has great pizza but the service is very slow. I called in an order at 6:20 pm and they had just put it in the oven at 7 when I got there. I was very disappointed. They weren’t even busy. They could have at least apologized for forgetting my order.

So glad I found this place, since it’s near my house. I called for takeout and the man who picked up was very nice even when I called a second time to add on to my order. Amazing food, good prices, great service for takeout ! They had my food ready at the set time. Will definitely return!

Oh, man! This pizza is yummy! I came across Izzy’s by none other than browsing Unilocal for some good NY style pizza. This one isn’t too far from my SO’s home so I decided to pick some up after work for our Friday pizza date just to try something new. This pizza does not disappoint!
We decided to build our own large 18″ pizza. On one half we put pepperoni, feta cheese and mushrooms and on the other pepperoni, salami and artichokes. Taking it home for consumption was exciting since Izzy prides itself on being authentic NY pizza. The slices are ginormous, and have a very decent amount of toppings on all of the slices. I love the thin, large slices that you have to fold to eat so the toppings don’t fall off. As I ate the pizza, I could tell that this would be a pizza place I will continue to frequent in Atlanta and I don’t care how far the drive is!

Finally! Real, authentic New York pizza can be found south of New Jersey. This is the real deal. There is room for about 40 people at simple tables. I’m not sure if they deliver but of course you can call in for take out.
The owner is from Long Island so he knows what makes a good pizza.
The toppings are fresh and the meatballs are out of this world. My new favorite is the Margarita pizza. Mozzarella, sliced fresh tomatoes and fresh basil on a crust that is crisped to perfection. The sandwiches are great as well. I was on a quest for good pizza and now I’ve found my happy place. And they serve beer now too. It doesn’t get any better than this.

I was very skeptical at first «oh great another NY pizza place» my brother was the one who actually put me on to this spot.
He told me this guy had a passion for his pizza and really made sure it was just as tasty as a real NYC slice. I went in with low expectations because come on lets be real how many NY pizza places do you see and they suck!
Izzy’s though man oh man blew me away it actually tasted like a NY slice. The cheese was stretchy, the sauce was just right, and the crust wasn’t all hard or too doughy.
I’ve been back several times already and have yet to complain about anything.
Thanks for bringing that real NY pizza down here. Keep up the good work.

First of all, I love the location of this pizzarea. Its a hole in the wall! Secondly, the inside of this place is so New York.
The place is family owned and run. The young man at the front was personable and happy to help. Now on yo the pizza, delicious!!! We went simple and ordered a small pepperoni pizza by phone. We ordered take out for our first order. I got there a little early and the pizza wasn’t out of the oven just yet. They had some awesome latin music playing, which my 3 year old decided to dance to. The place was clean and it had a very happy and friendly atmosphere.
Now on to the pizza. It was a hot and the cheese was melting all over the place and it was a little greasy… just how I love it!!! The cheese was cheesy and the pepperoni was on point. My son’s favorite part was the crunchy crust. All in all it was the best pizza around here. I will not be ordering Dominos anymore.
I can’t wait to try the rest of the menu. I hear the salads are great!
