I’ve been shopping here for almost a decade. The whole team is like family. Wouldn’t you rather shopped at a place that feels like home. Anne, Jerry, Z, Jordan, uncle Pauly, Camille… forgive if I forget people but I come often to just say hey and see what’s new… everyone is so inspirational in your music growth. They’re all musicians that test and play all their equipment first too. Some gems def come through this place. One day there were members of parliament funkadelic shop pic there. It’s just an amazing place. I thought about trying to work there before by I like having all my time to play I’m the studio. Sometimes I just go there to play every bass in the store. They always have fresh coffee and cookies too. I remember taking my first guitar lessons here for a great discount and instrument discount. I hope this place stays around for a long time. Really great grand people, musicians, vibe and you’d be surprised you may accidentally bump into an employee on the Atlanta music circuit jamming and sounding great. I love this place. Thanks for loving me guys.

This store is great! Good customer service is incredibly important in the business of used gear, and these folks know how to do it right.
I had the privilege of dealing with this store during the year I lived in Lawerenceville. I was in the market for a rare (ish) delay; and each month one of the guys would give me a call to let me know about the new arrivals. After awhile, they found just what I was looking for. I’ve never had a music store treat me like such a… well, human being. I’m convinced that they actually give a shit about their customer base at this store.
If your in the market for a solid price of used gear or if you want to get a fair deal on your old guitar, I recommend this store with five stars.

This is a great store that every musician out there should check out. Large selection of used equipment and instruments that will satisfy your every need. I have had a hard time trying to sell my trumpet to strangers on the web. Scott helped me out and gave me a great deal without low balling me. Go check this place out if you are in the mood to buy or sell.

Zac and Scott are phenomenal. They went above and beyond to help us get the right instrument and the right size. Kind and friendly!

I love these guys. They put up with me a lot, too. Pauline is by far my guy when it comes to buying and trading. He works with me to find the tone I want and the guitar and or amp that will give me that tone. But other than that, their customer service is outstanding but the selection of gear is hit or miss only because it’s used gear. I found my Randall amp head there and I’ve never taken it back. I know I’ll be back. It’s my go to place for studio equipment and guitar pedals. If they find an Ibanez 25^th anniversary in Fluorescent Yellow then I’ll buy everyone there pizza and me that guitar. They cater to any musician and will be sure you leave happy. I give a big thank you to everyone at this establishment and yall will continue to have my business :)

Probably the best place to shop for music equipment whether you are a novice or an experienced musician. The staff are committed to making sure that you get exactly what you need/​want by taking time to talk with you.
Lots of equipment to choose from and it changed on a regular basis because they buy and sell stuff all the time. If you are looking for something special or specific just ask them to add item (s) to your «wish list» and when and/​or if the item (s) come in they will call you.
In addition to being talented musicians themselves, Ann and Jeff know how to run a great business. The staff is well trained and know their technical stuff as well as how to treat people. So no matter what you’re looking for stop by or call Music Go Round first.

Since we have our little dude on the way and the fact that space in our home is at a premium, we decided we needed to part with some equipment to make way for our son. We packed up our keyboard and my bass equipment and made the long-​haul out to Lilburn to Music Go Round.
I had posted a lot of these items on Craig’s List and I was delighted to see that Music Go Round emailed me with interest in the items. Rather than shooting over an offer or anything they mentioned they had been in business for over 17 years, they buy used equipment every day, love supplying musical instruments to the community, and love working locally. Thought it was really cool and warranted a phone call on my end. I ended up talking to Paulie, who is probably the nicest guy I have ever met. He was super helpful over the phone and was even more so once we arrived.
We handed over my bass amp, Fender Jazz, my wife’s Yamaha Keyboard, and a few other small items and he checked them out for cosmetic damage, did some research online, checked their functionality, tone, etc and then came back to us with an offer. For us, we were just looking to part with these items so someone could put them to better use than we have in the past few years and we were happy with the amount. Paul moved super quick and was cheerful and fun throughout the entire time we were there.
Note: If you trade in your equipment, know that it is not a quick process. You’ll have to let these guys take a look at your stuff and test it out, write down serial numbers, compare prices, etc. This will take time, so just prepare to be patient. They are more then hospitable in this manner. Also, note that the price will be the best they can offer as they will be turning around your stuff for sale that day or the next. This is a no-​brainer, but just keep this in mind if you’ve never gone through this process before.
If we ever need used equipment or had more to trade in, this is our go-​to from now own. Local spot, 17+ years in business, super nice guys, an ever-​changing selection of stuff, and an easy process. Can’t wait to come back if our little guys wants to play the guitar or anything else. Love this place!

I’ve been going here for years. Everyone who works here is always super nice and helpful. They are very personal and help everyone who walks in. I do trades with them all the time and I always get great deals. I should let you know if you’ve never done a trade here, don’t expect to get the price if you sold it on craigslist but they give you more if you trade your product for another product. They take it all too. I don’t buy anything new. This is the place to go! :)

I recently bought a Fostex X-​7 tape machine from this place and it didn’t work. I called them and they immediately refunded my money and wrote my name and number down for any future tape machines that might come through. I’ve also bought guitars and amps from here in the past. One of the best music shops I have ever been to.

Have done a good bit of business here the past couple months, especially considering that Guitar Center has radically curtailed its used gear sales and buy-​ins. Tons of rare and odd stuff, but you really, really need to know your gear to get the most of out this place.
If you think of MGR as more of a dedicated music pawn shop than a full-​service music shop you’ll get in the right frame of mind. Tons of stuff crammed into the space and some not exactly in working condition, which they are up-​front about. Why they buy that in, I don’t know. But DIY guys and gals can make out like bandits.
Prices range from good to meh — again you just have to do your homework. Case in point, currently offered for sale is a used Gibson Marauder for $ 999. Somewhat rare 70s guitar looks to be in good condition. But check around and $ 750 is more like the peak price for a such a guitar.
To me their best aspect is the willingness to buy-​in working gear and put it toward something else. Not every joint is willing to do that as readily. Of course the deck is stacked in MGR’s favor like everywhere — they are going to tag the gear for sale at roughly double what they pay you, but that is just the nature of wholesale vs retail. Sometimes that’ll make sense — gear that you’ve been trying to move on eBay/​Craigslist with no takers, or forgotten stuff that you just want to unload immediately to something you can really use. Other times it will not.
The best thing I’ve found to do is troll their website for gear regularly and see what interests you. If you get a couple hits, then it is probably worth stopping by for a deep dive into their gear-​pit. And be advised, they do get some weird collector types who suddenly hock great gear just because they get bored of it. If you can pounce on that, you’ll be doing OK.

This place is a pretty typical music hock joint but the folks that work here are really nice. I took some gear over there to sell and Haseena was really great. She was very honest in what they would offer me as store credit vs. cash. I decided to try my luck on Craig’s List instead and actually did get more than they were willing to offer. I do have to say that maybe I wouldn’t think of selling high end stuff here and expecting good cash but I will totally go back to do some shopping. Really cheap guitar pedals, cables, etc. I’d give ‘em a try on that end for sure.

Great spot for used gear in the Atlanta suburbs, plus you can off-​load your old gear to offset the cost of your new purchase. Pretty quick turnover means different, cool stuff is there almost every day. Definitely more of a «player’s» shop, these aren’t guitars to put in a closet or hang on a wall, they’re ready to take on stage.

If you’re in need of a musical instrument, tune ups, repairs, advice, Music Go Round will surely be able to supply your needs.
All of my kids play or is either learning how to play a musical instrument so that means maintenance, maintenance, maintenance! I love that the guys in this shop are always helpful, and really and truly do give good sound advice, tips and skills when it comes to repairs. I can’t tell you how many times we’ve taken my oldest daughters electrical guitar here to have strings replaced. We are fortunate it’s not all that expensive to get repaired.
We’ve bought tons of music books, drum sticks, straps and, the latest, a harmonica for my little man. Depending on what you need, they can be a bit pricey but for the most part they have very reasonable prices.

In an age of musicians firing pot shot at the big box music stores, it was refreshing to walk in and have a great experience. I found the guitar I was interested online through their website, which is apparently updated at the end of the day each day, I called ahead asking for them to hold it for me as I made the trek out there. When I showed up I was greeted by Jeremy who walked me around the place until we got to business with my guitar. He set me up at an amp suitable to the sound I was going for and even offered me a drink while I put the guitar through it’s paces. We talked shop musically for a bit and he showed me some of his favorite pieces that had come in recently. They had some great stuff all over the board. The variety they carry is nearly as good as the big box stores if their offering from each brand might not be as deep. Checking out with my new guitar, I asked for 3 packs of strings. Jeremy charged me for one and said the other 2 were on the house since it was my first time in. I’ll definitely be coming back.
All in all a great experience. Great layout of the story, a little cramped from all of the amps they have on hand, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing!

I keep going back to this place, partially cause Im getting more into boutique gear, but because their prices are just perfect in my opinion. Jerry, one of the managers I think, will help you find what you want, and if you cant get it then, he will write it down, and keep an eye out of what you are looking for, and they do good deals for trades. I certainly will be back more and more to see what I can find!

Music Go Round is a location not to be forgotten when hunting down unique musical instruments and equipment.
The have a good selection of Fender silver-​face amplifiers, Marshall cabinets and the occasional Kustom amplifier.
A great selling point for this shop is you can tell them you’re looking for something in particular, say Olympic white Fender Jaguar, and they will take your name and number down and when one comes in to the shop they will call you.
They do consignment and purchase gear as well.
