Quisqueya Restaurant

Went there on a Sunday night with a couple of friends. It seems to be a good place to go with a big group of friends. There were way too many guys when compared to girls. The music was mostly good Bachata, very fast merengue and a few salsa/​cumbia. The dance floor got very crowded later on at night. I did not try the food, so would not be able to rate. But this is a very good place to go with a bunch of friends who are into Bachata late on a Sunday night. There was a cover of $ 10 to get in.
Update — tried the food and was very good! After renovation the ambiance is more of a restaurant than a club.

A friend of mine brought me here. Told me they had $ 5 lunches. I was not expecting too much but when the plate arrived I was surprised. Good portions and food was decent. I love the beans on the rice. My first time so I can’t tell on consistency yet. Owner came out to say hi to us. I would recommend to come out and try the $ 5 lunches. Décor is so-​so (usual Latin night club theme) but the $ 5 lunches/​including a soda is worth it.

Food and service was excellent, the lunch specials are soo good! definitely coming back.

I have been here twice. I will not be back.
Being a lover of salsa and other Latin music I had to try my neighborhood dance location. It is called a restaurant, but when I drive by during the dinner time it is dead. Hmmm… Anyway, late at night they do play good music and people do dance there and it does get busy after midnight. The $ 10 cover is way to high for this small dive though.
The first night I was here I went with a few guys and girls so we made it fun, especially since we can all dance. But there are so many better places to go for dancing that are free or more fun for $ 10.
Another night I went with one of my girlfriends and quickly left after all the cat calls and creepy men at the bar. Low class and does not feel safe if you are not with a large group. Some people from the salsa world that I know do go here, but I do not recommend it.

LADIES, this is what Hot-​lanta is all about! We arrived at ten on a Thursday night to a lonely venue with killer bachata, salsa, and reggae playing in the background (the mixing needed some help but it is quite dificult to mix latin beats). Ten dollar cover charge included the SHOW and club entrance, but please don’t forget to tip. The crowd (25 – 30 females and 3 males) started building at about eleven-​ish and the fun began about midnight.
The appetizer for two should accompany the early drinks since club nights in Atlanta are long. Yummy pork bites and Plantains!
We exited at 2 AM but the line of gentlemen to enter the club was just getting started.
