I love smoked products, especially sausages. I’m a huge fan of Patak Meats and read about Sausage World so I thought I would visit since it’s not far from where I live. The problem with both locations and they’re not open on weekends(Patak Meats is open on the first Saturday of every month though and located in Austell). It’s hard to find Sausage World because it’s not visible from the road. You have to drive to the plaza pass Royal Restaurant and a daycare. The signs are light in color and looks like its old and disappearing. There is a Lilburn WIC center there too and Sausage World is right across from it. I have to admit that when I saw the location. It looks run and beat down. It’s not a pleasant sight. Not even going inside but I’m here for the sausage and the taste. It’s such a different sight from Patak Meats. I hate comparing the two but they are similar in terms of making their own brats and smoking their own products but Patak is way superior in the operations and looks. All the products at Patak are fresh and it’s always busy every time I go there. At Sausage World, there are no fresh products. Even if they make their own products, they freeze the products. I talked to the owner’s son, he told me that he and his dad run the business and they are in the process of re-locating to another place close by, he says most likely close to Stone Mountain/Lilburn. He is really nice. Every product listed on website is not offered at the time, that sucks cause I really was looking forward to the Authentic Jamaican Style Jerk Chicken Sausage & Authentic Brazilian Style Sausage. I settled down for the Authentic German Style Bratwurst, Cajun Style Smoked Andouille Sausage, & Authentic Italian Style Lamb Sausage. I came home and couldn’t wait to put them on the barbecue grill. After slowly smoking them for an hour, I finally bit into it. I can say, it’s so flavorful and juicy! I am impressed and a fan! I cannot wait to try more!

Loved this place when we lived in the area. Don’t know if Biff is still there, but he was always willing to help me out when I needed a batch of REAL brats for my Oktoberfest parties.

Bangers! Who wants bangers? How ’bout some good boudin? Yeah, and some sweet basil Italian sausage, some links of pepperoni, bratwurst, knockwurst, kielbasa, andouille, and all manner of artisanal linked delights? This is the place. No, you don’t eat it here. You buy it here. Started by ex-Brave Biff Pocoroba, this place has been turning out quality handmade sausages of all varieties for about two decades now. If you like great sausages with your beer, or in your Italian food, ya gotta make the trip to Lilburn.
