Built in 1908, the Allen County Memorial Hall is charmingly aged and perfectly sized. My first visit was during Pickle’s Blues Extravaganza. The sound was fantastic and, although sight lines from the balcony weren’t great, the ballroom floor and wooden seats put a smile on my face. The paintings on the walls are perfect for the venue: Washington and Lincoln above the stage and a large monogrammed«M» above the curtains. I wish more local shows selected Memorial Hall.
