The pizza here is my favorite in town! Also, the sandwiches are amazing and so is the bruschetta. They have a fantastic selection of draft beers from Ohio and elsewhere. They also have some very interesting obscure beers in bottle that you won’t see often.

Way back in the day I remember there being a B-Dubs at this plaza. So, I was pleasantly surprised when my friends from Lima wanted to meet me for lunch at this joint and gave me their address. I ordered a Small Fajita Chicken Pizza. My friends had a chicken salad, shared the pizza with me and couple of glasses of wine. Total with tax and tips came ~ $ 35 Pros: Very friendly waitress. Unique item like a Fajita Chicken Pizza in Lima, Ohio.(+1) Place was crowded for a Monday afternoon. Abundant seating, parking, TV’s. Cons: None.

As much as they try, good service can’t overcome poorly prepared food. Our thin and crispy seems to have been cooked too hot. The ingredients are balanced and abundant, however too often the food is not cooked properly. I believe that management needs to scale back the menu.

It’s been a few years since my first review, and Beer Barrel has gone through some changes for the better. The food has definitely improved over time. The pizza still isn’t quite to where it once was before the handover, but it’s gotten much better over the years. I especially enjoy the salads, which are huge and filling. The seasonal additions are a great touch, and the ability to order online, and pick up through the drive through makes the whole carryout experience a breeze. Also, if you want something good and hearty, you can’t go wrong with the Shepherd Pie, which is fantastic.

I had a lot of fun at this place! Was definitely a good spot to watch a big time sporting event if yoh are ever stuck in Lima, OH for some awful reason. My friend and i sat at the bar, huge area with plenty of room for a feast and a few beers. We started with fried pickles which were the spears and not the chips which i am a fan of. Next, my friend got a pizza which is what they are are famous for. It was large, very well cooked and very appetizing. Nice soft bread too which i like! Now for my meal, i am definitely a wing snob, they are by far my favorite food. I got an order of their wings in the spicy garlic parmesean and an order in the sweet amd zesty thai. I am not lying when i say both these wings and these two sauces were some of the best ive had in a long time. I wanna go back!

The local sports bar with a little class. Lots of beer selections and a diverse New England northwestern fusion of food. Lots of beer choices. Good atmosphere Friendly staff. Big screen sports. Stocked bar. Friendly local cloud.

Beer Barrel Pizza has some great beer on draft and really good pizza. If you go there with a group, make sure to get the Munchi Basket — it’s like 5 appetizers in one!

Let me fisrt say the only two good things about this place: 1, the service is good, my glass was refilled often and they took care of us quickly. 2, they have WiFi. That’s it. They say hunger is the best spice. Well, I was real hungry and it still sucked. The best part of my meal was the Lay’s potato chips, which were actually on the soft end. Nothing tasted fresh, not one thing. For an appetizer we had fried green tomatoes and their plate of hummus. Both felt straight out of a Costco container. I followed with their chili, which probably came out of the can and into the microwave a minute before it was served. The prime rib«oven baked» sandwich was awful. The meat was cold and gummy, and the bread felt like gas station cheeseburger bread. My sister’s sandwich was also cold and the cheese tasted like plastic. The prices are medium low but at $ 8 a sandwich, we really didn’t get what we paid for. Go to BK down the road, that’ll be a better meal. Terrible.

The food is awesome! Normally get the pizza and boneless wings. They have the best appetizers in town — try the pickles and the jalapeño cheese bites! It’s pretty dark inside, could use a little more lighting. But I’ve never had bad service or bad food.

This is one of my all time favorite restaurants. I look forward to visiting Lima just for beer barrel. The Chicago style pizza and wings are amazing! The only problem is that I can never choose between the two so I just end up getting both… Staff are always friendly and have never had a bad experience. Their good food rewards card is my favorite card in my wallet even though I live 100 miles away. If I could have a «last meal» it would be wings and pizza from beer barrel and maybe even some Boursen cheese as an app.

In town for business and after the recommendation from Unilocal,I was pleased to find that this app didn’t let me down. Good beers on tap and polite staff. Also you can chatter with complete strangers at the bar while watching sports and their 2 large TVs. Stop by and check it out.

In Lima on business… and we came here not having very high expectations. But were pleasantly surprised. Got the Bacon BBQ hamburger, and it was an excellent hamburger. Nice thick patty, cooked just right, Bacon was cooked just right. Fries are thick cut fries but not greasy at all. Nice and crisp… Salad that came with was nothing special though… iceberg lettuce with 1 or 2 grape tomatoes and a basically a carrot shaving and half a cucumber slice… So I’d say skip the salad here they can’t do it justice. One coworker got the Lime Chicken lettuce wraps which was a puzzle… they marched it out with a pile of stiff romaine leaves. Since when do lettuce wraps(look for the key word in that sentence… it would be WRAPS) come with Romaine? Could they not afford the more foldable Boston or Bibb lettuce? Poor guy was piling the chicken on top of the stiff romaine leaf… and trying to eat it… built in lunchtime entertainment I guess. But as far as the burgers… way better than the hometown Kewpee burgers we tried.

I love the atmosphere in the place, it’s always lively. That being said the food is horrible. I bit into a raw chicken wing my first time. I know things happen so I tried a second time with the taco pizza. The pizza was awesome until I bit into a rotten tomatoe. I went there with friends the third time and only had a few drinks. I won’t try their food again.

A little late in reviewing but, I went here on 11÷13÷13 with my dad and some friends while I was visiting. I must say, that was some of the best pizza I have had! I will def be back next time I’m in Ohio.

The pizza in the only way to go overall. They do a nice job. The sandwiches are average in taste. A nice average food place. Pizza prices are high for LIMA. The quality of the pizza is above average when compared to other locations in the region. They have managed to keep their beer prices up to the prices you find in Columbus, Cincinnati etc… not a good thing.

This is my favorite, home, beer barrel. I’ve done the 20 beer 10 day challenge 3 times for shirts, ya it can be done with planning with four kids at home. Ya, planning! Pizza is great, the sheet pizza is amazing for a crowd, our case kid friends. The aps are good from on fire cheese to s’mores w Hershey chocolate. Great salads, fish Sammy’s and pasta. The onion soup is amazing, best in town. Beer is just ok, most anhouser Busch with a few guest taps like ohio’s great lakes. Worth a try indeed.

Not too bad. When I’m in Lima I usually stop by the Beer Barrel for some good atmosphere and decent pizza. I like the deep dish because its filling and has a good flavor. The appetizers are also pretty good, standard bar fare. Extra points if you can secure a cozy spot next to the fireplace. The bad side of this place is that the drinks are incredibly over-priced for the location. I have paid less for beer in San Francisco than I paid here… that shouldn’t happen in Lima.
