Lima Public Library

Amazingly, I’m not giving 5 stars to a library, because it didn’t, in my opinion, have a great library feel. Most libraries grab me and try to keep me, but this one didn’t. Maybe it was the old-​ish chairs or the very separate children’s section (upstairs, practically go outside to get there). The non-​fiction didn’t excite me either, because there were lots of books on menopause, where to retire, and other topics of more interest to the prevalent demographic groups in Lima.
On the other hand, this library is spacious and bright, there’s a large DVD and video section (we borrowed «Super Size Me»), and it’s located next to the museum and other downtown Lima stuff. My folks think it’s great and has a great selection overall. Maybe I’ll try again next time I visit.
