Sharon Dairy King is a stone’s throw from my house, so I love riding my mopeds there on hot summer days.
The ice cream ranges from cheap cones ($ 1.50) to elaborate tornadoes ($ 3), which is nice if you’re on a budget and/or have a family to treat.
I don’t recommend the hot dogs or coffee, not that you would visit for those items, but I grabbed some on the way to work and was a tad disappointed.

The Sharon Dairy King is the place to go on a hot muggy summer day in Lima!
I remember going there when I was a tiny tot, my mom ordered a turtle sundae, and I was CRUSHED, I couldnt believe my mom was going to eat a TURTLE… as it turns out, turtle sundaes are not made of turtles: phew:
Dipped cones are usually my go to, followed closely by any sort of frozen slushy (I used to get them mixed as a «suicide», but now a simple cherry will do just fine).
The staff is always friendly. The service always fast. It is out door seating though, be warned of that!
Only bummer is its closed in the winter… I love ice cream no matter the season.
