I think their staff needs better training. I waited in a long line over the weekend. I finally got to the front of the line and went up to the register. I put everything down on the counter and was starting to explain something to the clerk, when she cut me off and told me her register was no longer open. Meanwhile two people behind me went up to other registers so I had to go back in line and wait. She could have stopped me before I walked up or perhaps as I was putting everything down in front of her on the counter, or at that point offered to wait on me since she knew I would now have to wait longer.

I was here today and had pretty good luck for the first time in a long while — I’ve tried going here a few times in the past year and have found that their prices keep rising, while the actual quality and style of their clothing has remained constant. Today, they were having 50% off the entire store, as well as 30% off the clearance section, from which I ended up picking out two pairs of pants. The clearance section itself was pretty disorganized — I found clothes in my size all along the two walls that comprised the clearance section — but workable if you’re wiling to take your time. Changing rooms were clean and service was fairly prompt.

A combination Kids Gap, Baby Gap, and regular Gap, so this is nice for a one-stop shopping experience. What drove me nuts was that even though they had cash registers over on the kids side, you could only check-out in the main Gap, and the line was ridiculously long! I wouldn’t mind if they weren’t that busy, but given the length of the line, they really should have opened up the other cash registers. Other than that, no other real issue with the place.
