Thought the clam chowder would be wonderful here but it was not. Cole slaw was not good either.

McMenamins Lighthouse Brewpub is a great stop whenever I visit Lincoln City, OR. The food is excellent, the beers are delicious and overall you can’t beat the experience. We’ve been three times and I’d love to provide 5 stars but the service is hit or miss.

My family had a late dinner here last night and sat on the outside balcony. Dinner was a fantastic crab Mac n cheese and a bacon burger with tater tots. The food was fantastic! For our appetizer we had a clam chowder bread bowl. The clam chowder was so so… But the bread was on point! The service was fast and friendly… But the woman server was a tad forgetful…

Ordered food to go, as we had a hotel room right on the beach and wanted to enjoy the view… My husband ordered a mushroom burger with Cajun tater tot’s which he said was delicious. I ordered a turkey sandwich with a side salad and it was amazing! One of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had. I got the vinaigrette that is made with one of their beers can’t member the name but it was delicious highly recommend!

Wonderful service and great home brewed beer. Also they allow your dog on the lower floor outside so they can accommodate your entire group. Like all McMenamins the atmosphere is wonderful and the staff is helpful. When you go make sure to ask for Jeff he’s very helpful and offers great insight on those ever challenging drink and food decisions.

I’m local and eat here frequently the food rarely disappoints, although the service does. Do try a shot of monkey puzzle over ice. You can buy a bottle for a good price to take home it’s worth it.

Would love to give more stars but what a disappointment it was. The waiter was ok with his«how’s everything» while we waited about an hour to finally get our food. Now if the food was worth the wait it wouldn’t be as bad but it wasn’t that great either. The ahi salad was small and kinda meh. Fries were almost cold, clam chowder was meh too. So a meh to bleh experience that took forever. I understand they were under staffed but still, meh.

This McMenamins gets an A++++++ review because it had bacon wrapped scallops and it was worth the out of the way 2 hour drive just for that. However, their crab beer-cheese fondue w/pretzel sticks was a letdown. the pretzel bread was super bland, it needed some serious salt.

The food is really good. Everything was cooked great. Lots of flavor. The cherry cider is SO good! So so good! Tons of beers to pick from. Service was good. They stay on top of things. Cute inside. Lots of décor you just don’t see everywhere. One of a kind place. Would love to check out their other locations, eventually.

Visited just now. Food was excellent. Had the truffle fries with garlic aioli as an appetizer. The carmela chx was VERY good. A friend had the salmon salad. She says she wouldn’t come here for that again. 3 stars is for our waiter Mike. He was superb, was on top of everything and very polite. HOWEVER… You seat yourself which is fine. We sat in a booth with two high chairs. A server comes over and says you aren’t allowed to do that because it’s against policy. I understand I am a server as well. So we get up to move to a table. But THEN, the server that told us we had to move proceeds to pick up my friends 7 month old baby in the high chair and carries him to the other side of the restaurant WITHOUT asking or offering and waiting for a response. Maybe he doesn’t have children, and I understand he meant the child no harm but you NEVEREVEREVER… EVER pick up or touch another person’s child without approval, let alone carry him in a high chair he could have fallen out of; more than 10 feet away. We told the manager and he didn’t really seem to show genuine concern. Although, he did apologize. But here’s the best part… When leaving, that server and another were on the balconey outside smoking, and he proceeds to talk about it loudly enough so we can hear it!!! Very classy… you were in the wrong, not us. We weren’t going to mention it in our review, but because you had the nerve to damn near shout it at us outside. I thought I’d let other Unilocalers know. So your corporate office will be hearing from me. I understand your intentions were good, and hopefully you will learn from this. But in the future, DONOTEVERTOUCHANOTHERPERSON’S CHILDWITHOUTTHEPARENTSAPPROVAL!!! We will not be returning to ANY of the chain restaurants, usually go in and spend at least $ 50 when we eat and we always tip more than 20%.

Mcmenamins will always be… Subpar. Received the flattest beer I’ve ever been served, food is average, good atmosphere and insanely slow service… every. time. Every McMenamins is the same, why do I still return? Not sure but I do. Tots?

I always like the ambiance of McMenamins. The lighting is always dim and relaxing and there are always plenty of places to sit. It is always a popular spot, yet they dont ever seem PACKED which is nice(or maybe I dont just go on peak times). This one is great because its a decently nice place in Lincoln City and while there are some seafood options, you can just as easily find something without seafood. I asked for the Mac N Cheese, without crab, and it was pretty good(not as good the next day though, and the portions were such that I took half back to the hotel!) The cajun tots are always great with their ranch. My husband got himself a burger and he seemed satisfied(though our favorite burger place, Nancy’s, in Salem is MUCH better than any burger we’ve had anywhere else). He also got the berry version of the Ruby, which he says was a wonderful starter beer. The service was great too, and as a customer service manager, I am critical of service Amy was wonderful, sometimes I like chatty servers and sometimes I am more reserved. She seemed to be what each customer needed, based on what I heard around me. Prompt water refills and she remembered i didnt like ice, which for some reason, so many servers randomly forget! Definitely a good option when youre on the coast!

Despite reading recent reviews complaining of slow service, I decided to stop in on a recent Tuesday evening, with kids in tow. I was skeptical because I’d never had a bad service issue at any of the other McMenamin establishments, and the place was virtually empty. But there is a first for everything and the reviews did not disappoint!(I think they must teach slow service in their orientation process). Food and drink: Fortunately it was happy hour. They are famous for their perfectly prepared tots, which were fabulous. Had the tiny burger and pork slider too, they seemed to be cooked to order, fresh and juicy. Son had the cheese pizza, which for the price is the best deal on the menu. They had a fine selection of beers on tap, went with a seasonal IPA, which was very tasty. Back to the service. Seriously, our visit lasted approximately 45 minutes, in which time we went through three waiters! The first was kind enough, her shift ended, we were turned over to another gentleman, who seemed distracted and never really provided any service except to ask if we needed refills. About 5 minutes in, he stormed out like he was canned! Alas, we now to introduce waiter number three… Never mind, there’s no point… God only knows how many more we would’ve had, had we stayed longer. I’m so confused, how do I proceed with tipping in this situation? 4 bucks it is to the waiter who only provided the check! Although the food and drinks were good, probably wouldn’t stop in again, sorry Mr McMennamin…

Standard food, been to this restaurants all around SWWA&OR. Cajun Tatar tots are awesome, they brew their own beer which is cool I prefer wheat, which they have a great wheat beer. They also have a sampler so if your undecided you can try the sampler of beer. They DONOT serve beer of any kind except what they brew, but their beer is great! I had their Clam Chowder in a bread bowl, it was OK. I have had much better. But normally it’s pretty good. Food is pretty good. If your from out of state(not from WA/OR) I would recommend trying other restaurants in Lincoln City, as I said, food is the same as in all the restaurants & there isn’t really anything«special» about this place. Not like Kennedy School or the place that has concerts(sorry, the name is slipping my mind). It is one of the few places that’s open late, and our server was awesome!

This isn’t my favorite McMenamins, its in a strip mall, along with a Grocery outlet etc. it has two floors the upper floor has big windows for great view of Safeways parking lot. This is probably my problem here, when I am at the beach I want to see water! The food is pretty standard for McMenamins, Service is just good not great. Food somehow just never seems to be as good here, exept for the Pizzas. I do like the art, but compaired to other McMenamins it is kind of disappointing, Its not the worst but definatly not one of the best.

An unexpected hidden gem on a stripmallish corner in Lincoln City. They brew on-site — so that’s cool to see. The Atmosphere is the usual McMenamins eclectic/funky style with a touch of nautical(it is the coast after all). I really like the sun on the ceiling. The food is McMenamins… pub grub. Can never go wrong with tots, right!?!

This is a McMenamins so you kind of know what you’re gonna get. It’s not bad, everything was pretty good actually. We went on a Tuesday lunchtime and it was seat yourself which worked fine. The place is large with two floors and we found a lovely seat, view is out the parking lot. OK — so not the best view but they have to work with what they have. The food is your usual McMenamins fare, nothing too inspiring but nothing too threatening. I only had a bowl of clam chowder which was good. My husband had their half sandwich which he said was ok, he could have made it himself. The kidlings pizza were ok, but kids drinks were not included in their meal. The items on the menu are priced a bit higher than they’re worth. I guess that is pretty usual for Lincoln City. The server was really good which is why I think this place deserves 3 ½ star. All the servers look really attentive and very friendly. It was a pretty decent and consistent experience.

Although our waitress was nice and the interior is the usually quirkiness you expect from a McMenamins, the service was excruciatingly slow. And when we got our food, it was just okay. I’m thankful I have a McMenamin’s passport, so my prize of a free clam chowder redeemed this place somewhat. Come on, McMenamin’s, you can do better.
