If I could, I’d give this buffet 100 stars. I am at loss for words when I saw the reviews and stars for this place. The staff is so friendly. My family and I came for brunch and it was 19.99 a person. Let me tell you, we got full from just looking at the food. I think there were over 2 dozen desserts to choose from, a chocolate fondu section, omlette station, seafood, and much much more. I’ve been to almost every buffet in Las Vegas and I have to say that this one has topped them all.

Was here a year ago and it has vastly improved in that timeframe my whole family loved it(Sunday brunch) a year ago I would have given it 2 – 3 stars now definitely 5 stars now. Great value crab and lobster and great breakfast fare.

Meh. And that’s being generous. Not much of a selection and the food was of poor quality. We needed a chain saw to cut the meat. I didn’t even try the dry , overcooked looking prime rib. I guess they were trying to make up for the poor quality by being over priced…

Where staying on the Oregon coast in the off season so most restaurants are closed and the other half only have seafood so this was the next best thing I wasn’t expecting much based on the reviews but they did seem to have something for everybody here the staff was nice and attentive the food was mediocre we might have been the youngest people there but that’s ok they have crab and prime rib so that was a plus the price wasn’t that bad either the seating was ok I didn’t like where we sat but after a few mins we were ok I would come back here if I ever stay in Lincoln city again

At a loss for words… We figured it would be comparable to Spirit Mountain. I should’ve checked the Unilocal reviews before coming here. Food was disgusting. Worse than Home Town Buffet. They had 1⁄3 the food selection as Spirit Mtn also for the same price. I spent $ 85 for 3 adults &2 children just to practically smoke cigarettes the entire time we were(trying) to eat. The second hand smoke may have been the worst part. We left with headaches, hungry and upset stomachs. Never again.

Biggest disappointment of our trip! This buffet was disgusting 4 adults and 4 kids was not a cheep dinner, cost wise but the food was. The food was absolutely terrible. I started with salmon, over cooked(farmed frozen) had some sweet dried up sauce over it. Went back for a salad, which was good. Then decided to try the prime rib, terrible! Ribs mashed potatoes, only ate the potatoes. Asian pork was soso. Fried Chicken was soggy and chewy. Wild rice was plain and boring. Pot stickers tasted like they were old. I noticed they were replenishing dishes from stocked warmers from behind the buffet. Even the ice cream sucked, like it wasn’t cold enough. I was half melted. Coming out of the machine. I will NEVER eat here again. Not even for free through comps. Being a foodie I was fantasizing what horrifying things Gordon ramsay would say about the terrible food. Save your money for some where else! Not this nightmare of a buffet. I’d rather eat at home town or izzys then this place! Sadly I left hungry and couldn’t bring my self to complain after the buss boy taking away dozens of(uneaten) plates from our party. GROSS!

Ugh, terrible. Came here on 1÷9÷16 for lunch and paid $ 24 for my boyfriend and I both to eat. All I ate was mashed potatoes and some ice cream. Honestly, there was not much of a selection and everything that they did have out looked dried out and gross. One thing that did weird me out was seeing our waitress giving a customer a full on back rub at his table while she was on the clock. I just thought it seemed really odd, maybe she was really working that for that tip? Who knows. But yeah, this buffet was not good, save your money.

Well the buffet is not a place to visit when not at peak times of the day. Attempted a late lunch and we’ll let’s just say I should have waited for dinner. If starving like we where then go for it. They have ketchup to add some flavor. Service seems pretty good, but food for the price not so much.

I went on a friday so it was the seafood night. So glad I did. It was amazing. For the price I was delighted that I had so much selection. Plus I got mashed potatoes and they were real potatoes. I also was able to get crab which is hard to get a buffet because that’s usually the first thing to go. The crab was warm and sweet. Delicious. The dessert selection was also amazing, I ate way too much. OH and the prime rib was to die for. I didn’t enjoy waiting an hour for a table but, I did enjoy the food very much.

Took my family here tonight, Saturday night. I would’ve thought that being on the coast, and being a weekend, that there would be plenty of seafood for the price we paid. Unfortunately we were highly disappointed. Incredible that this place is even around. Spirit Mountain is far better for the price. Not coming back!

We went here for dinner Saturday night. On Saturdays it’s $ 21 per person for anyone aged 11+. Honestly it’s a disappointment and not worth $ 10 per person. First it’s a smaller buffet with limited selection when you compare it to spirit mountains. Secondly the taste and quality are not up to the standards of chinook winds but they maintain these poor standards for years now, I just don’t understand why. The prime rib for example is tough and chewy, just cutting it up gives your arm a good workout. The Au jus tastes very watered down and bland. The cedar plank salmon(a dish that you think being in the Pacific Northwest would be excellent and one they would take pride in.) is bland and not very good. They smear some sauce over the top of it and does it no favors. The only good things are the employees working there who keep your drinks filled and dirty plates off your table. The other is the pies. The lemon meringue and pumpkin pie are tasty as is the no sugar added cherry pie. Do yourself and your wallet a favor and eat at one of the other restaurants.

I have tried the buffets at nine different casinos in Oregon and Washington, and I have to rate the Siletz Bay Buffet at Chinook Winds Casino as number eight out of the nine. That’s not too impressive. I have eaten there a few times before and have always thought they were somewhat humdrum. Well, this last Friday we tried their supposedly«special» Friday Seafood Buffet, and I was hoping it would be a lot better than their usual stuff. After all, it cost $ 22 compared to the usual $ 18 price for other nights. They did have some items on Friday that they don’t usually have, such as mussels, clams, and crab legs.. .but I don’t like those three things anyway. I looked forward to trying some fish: cedar plank salmon and also some baked cod fillets prepared with some kind of sauce. Both were bland. In fact, the salmon didn’t even have that wonderful distinctive«salmony» taste. The roast prime rib was tough and not very tasty either. Actually, I thought the best tasting item I had was one of the side dishes, mac-n-cheese with salmon in it. So, this«special» night was not so special after all. Mostly the same as usual here.. .not very tasty. There is ONE thing I do like about them that most other buffets don’t have.. .you can make your own strawberry shortcake with real whipped cream.. .and of course make it as big as you want.

Completely overpriced. Very few actual dinner choices. The only edible dinner food I found was fried shrimp. The salad bar was limited and over all the variety was very limited. The only thing there was a vast array of was desserts. There were a lot of desserts and many were quite good. The service was poor, but very uncrowded. I would go to the restaurant next door where you get a beach view at least. Worst buffet I’ve ever been to and I’ve been to some .99 ones in Las Vegas.

Such a disappointment! Chinook Winds is another 30 minute drive past Spirit Mountain Casino. The boyfriend and I wanted a beach + casino day and we thought going to Chinook would kill two birds with one stone. The buffet at Spirit Mountain is exquisite, affordable, and overwhelming(in the best way). I don’t know why, but I had that in mind when trying Chinook Wind’s buffet. Bad idea. The two don’t even compare. Siletz Bay has about half of what Spirit Mountain’s buffet has. No diversity and not worth the $ 18. I think there were more desserts than entrees. Buffets should consist of variety and excitement! I felt bad that the boyfriend spent $ 36 on a very mundane and uninteresting buffet. Luckily he won some money on the slots. I guess a thanks is in order to Chinook Winds for essentially paying for our bland meal.

Had the Sunday Brunch Buffet, Mothers Day edition here today, So it was more pricey then it normally is– the Omelette I had them make was real good IMO, and a good variety of stuff to put in it, the rest of the offerings were good, but not great– Spirit Mountain IMO has a better buffet in regards Casinos in Oregon. They do have good OJ though, and Pepsi products so thats a plus. but overall, I think I would only go here if its not a special event day like today.

Mediocre and overpriced. For $ 20 bucks a person for dinner I’d expect more than prime rib with absolutely no flavor, some lame sides, fried shrimp, and a pasta station. I’d expect very good prime rib, peel and eat shrimp, fresh crab, and much more higher end selections. In its current form it’s not worth over $ 10 a person. They need to either raise their food quality standards or lower their prices to better reflect their quality of offerings.

Two words… expensive and bland! $ 20 for bland food… disappointing. Add to it the fact that it sits right in the middle of the casino and reeks of cigarette smoke… gag! I would rather drive to Spirit Mountain and pay the same price and get a much better selection. The hospital in town has better tasting food… seriously!

First, wait on line to pay, then wait until your buzzer goes off. We were told 1 — 1:30 minute wait, but happily it was only about 45 minutes. People tell me I’m picky. Well, it’s just that life is too short to eat bad food. My husband was extraordinarily happy here because he ate the crab legs. The snow crab served here is way above the usual served in buffets. It was moist with out being watery and flavorful without being salty. It was the best thing on the buffet. The second best thing was the small dinner rolls. I would have brought a few home with me for breakfast, if I could. The other food was forgettable. The prime rib was half medium-rare and half well-done. I mean the same slice! The top half was good, and the bottom half was flavorless. I don’t know how they did that unless the bottom of the oven was much hotter than the upper. The baked salmon was as hard as a rock. One bite. The fried shrimp was all breading and mushy. The salad bar was underwhelming. I managed to take about half a plate. Desserts: Overly sweet. I tried several, and left them after a single bite. I liked the apple pie with the addition of vanilla soft-serve. And the cream-puffs were good, but filled with whipped cream, not pastry cream. There was some strawberry sauce to pour over them. I tasted the marionberry cobbler, but it was too sweet. I wish I had room to try the individual fruit tarts. They looked pretty. There were several kinds of sugar-free desserts. I tried the marbled cheese cake and it had no flavor whatsoever. I know that cocoa and vanilla have no sugar, so I don’t understand why they couldn’t up the flavor content to make up for the missing sugar and hide the off flavor of sweetener. I understand that this is a casino buffet. But it’s in the middle of an area filled with farms and fisherman who can supply fresh delicious food. It’s just sad. This is our first year in Lincoln City. Because of the cool summer weather, I’m sure we’ll be back. I hope the restaurants we’ve eaten in that haven’t met our standards will improve by next year.

Five day family vacation with family from L. A. and a friend from Portland in tow, we saw some of the food pics on the Web site and figured we’d add this buffet to our rounds while on the coast. Our clan of six arrived for a five o clock-ish dinner buffet. Paid and were seated at our table. The servers were great, taking our drink orders, keeping water glasses full, bringing refills and taking used plates. We don’t gamble(not because I have anything against it, I just prefer to blow all my money and have at least something left to show for it) but it immediately became clear at first pass that the odds here were not ever in my favor. The good: the prime rib was passable, maybe even decent. Flavors were nice and while it wasn’t the best I’ve had it was far from the worst. Fried breaded shrimp: not bad at all. The spicy horseradish: spot on. Go easy with that one at first. The mediocre: just about everything else. Salmon was bland, whitish(WAY overcooked) and dry as a fish bone. Other meats overcooked. Sauces tasted fresh from the industrial vat. Brussels sprouts(well, you GOTTA eat your veggies, right?) chewy. Meh. Oddly, the hit of the evening was totally unexpected: the carrot cake. Brother N. commented that it was very good, though the cream cheese frosting was a little light. I replied it’s because they’d left the ‘e’ off, which confused everyone thoroughly. I went on to explain the sign read«Carrot cake with cream chees» and he said something like«only YOU would even notice that.» But I digress. The carrot cake was pretty good – worth seconds. In all, for $ 16 a head, 12 year old light-eater included, we have had WAY better buffets almost anywhere else. Unless things are just hideous or toxic, I never rate one star. So two stars it is. We had also planned for the carb-o-tarians among us to return for breakfast, but with the food here, we’ve made other plans. Yeah, not planning to return.

Who enjoys being disappointed at the outset after paying up front for a casino buffet? My routine is to ask the greeters if I may walk inside to peruse the offerings. They always say yes, and I informally evaluate what looks good and whether the variety, appearance and aromas are worth pursuing. Siletz Bay Buffet in Chinook Winds Casino is an oval dining room, seemingly small in seating capacity, but roomy enough between tables so that navigating plate-in-hand from the spread will not result in a collision requiring cleanup on Aisle 5. Beelining to the carving station, two rib roasts awaited, one cooked medium-well to well-done, the other medium-rare. Both were crusted with a cracked-peppercorn rub, and emitted juices when carved. On another cutting board was a salmon fillet that appeared free of artificial coloring; also cooked too long to be appetizing. A stir-fry station offered sauces(marinara, Alfredo, pesto) and sliced vegetables to create custom-ordered pasta combinations, also crepes and scampi. Sides were appealing, and mashed potatoes with chunks of skin-on spuds were the most tempting. Across the way was the salad bar, featuring whole hard-boiled eggs, real bacon bits and shredded parmesan cheese. Soups were clam chowder(an Oregon staple) and tomato bisque. I was sold, so went ahead and had a great dinner, although yummy-looking hot wings were tepid and bland, and a taste of mushroom vegetarian lasagna was pleasant but not a highlight. The table attendant, carver and stir-fry chef were standouts of service. Buffet desserts are seldom thrilling, but chocolate-bottom macaroon cookies were not only tasty, they were worthy of rolling up several into a paper napkin and absconding with for later consumption in the motel room.
