Amazing coney island. Larger portions, cheaper and safer than the original DCI. Chili cheese fries all the way.

For not being open that long, this place looks kindof shabby on the inside. And the staff don’t seem to thrilled to be there. But this place serves the purpose of a quick carry out greasy meal when your craving one or a late night cap. Stick to the chili fries and coneys.

Not bad… not great either. When you ask the waitress what’s really good, and after a few moments of deep thought she says«the chicken wraps aren’t too bad», I should have just headed for the door. Since this is a Coney island I tried the Coneys and chilli fries. Other than the hot dogs had the color boiled out of them and they weren’t Viennas, they weren’t horrible. The chilli fries were good. This was my first time eating here so take it for what it’s worth.

We stopped here on our way out of town — around 7:30 am on a Saturday. All the doors were open — no air, but it was fairly comfortable. There were about 4 parties in the building and 1 waitress. While the food was ok — I seriously had a problem with the waitress. She forgot about us — to the point I had to go up to the counter to get coffee… she was then serving food while talking on her cell phone the entire time — I’m all for multi-tasking but come on — pay attention to your customers, save your personal calls for your break time. Her time would have been better spent checking on her customers… half of our order came out, and we waited almost 10 minutes for our toast… the entire time she was juggling her phone and sitting.

«They would not serve me a Corned Beef and Swiss Omlette at 6:30AM. It would take too long to properly cook the meat. They apologized profusely» That my friends is the correct answer! If its leftover from the day before, like most places would have served, it would have been meh. This cook cares about quality. I switched my order to a bacon and cheese omlette($ 4.75). The omlette was great. The bacon was cooked to order and not overcooked leftover peices. The potatoes were buttery good, and plentiful. The service was friendly and prompt. They are hovering between 3 and 4 stars. They will gain a full star after the smoking ban kicks in. Downriver breakfast spots are filled with smokers and this one is no exception. The place was nearly empty, but the cook, waitess, and two customers at the counter were all smoking and filling up the fairly large space with smoke. Until the ban hits, I will probably not come here that often. Great food and service though.
