Let me start by saying the pizza was good. I ordered a large Chicago style supreme, and it was really good. The problem is, they took 2HOURS to deliver it. That is unacceptable in my opinion. I called to find out what was going on after about 1:15, and they said they were really busy, driver called off, blah, blah. Stuff happens, but don’t tell a customer 45 minutes of it’s going to take 2 hours.

Cheap pizza, but just not worth the money when you are surrounded by much better competitors like Roma’s or Mickey’s Pizza. In summary, a better version of Little Caesars.

The best pizza hands down. Great customer service. Best deals for pizza. If I lived in Chicago I would drive all the way here just to eat their Chicago style pizza.

I give a 1 only because I can’t give a 0. The order was incorrect and they did nothing to fix it. Beware deep dish equals pan pizza. If you want a true deep dish take the time and go to Pizza Papalis.

Still not quite sure of what to make of this place. I ordered a regular pizza and when I got it home and took out a slice, everything slid off the crust. Even the sauce! It was like the crust was made out of teflon. Tasted ok though. I went back a second time to try the Chicago style deep dish. It was good, even though it seemed like something was missing. It was close to what they serve in Chicago but not quite there. Maybe a little more spice? At any rate, I got the meat lovers Chicago style, and never has anything filled me up as much. This was meatapalozza. I seriously thought it could have done with a little less meat. That is something I thought I would never say. Over all, not bad pizza but cannot be considered a great pizza… yet. There is a very nice young man that owns this place and I hope he will continue to perfect his craft.

Here’s what I can say. I ordered a XL2 Toppings pizza for $ 8.99 which isn’t a bad deal at all. The pizza tasted pretty good, maybe a little bit heavy on the basil in the sauce, but overall good flavor. The oven time was right so it was doughy considering how thin it was. Exactly how I like pizza. The problem with this entire order was the delivery. I ordered the pizza at 7:45pm on a Friday and it didn’t get to my place until 9:10pm. They told me it would be the average 30 – 45 min delivery. I had to call once at an hours time to make sure the address was accurate and it was. He told me the driver would be there any minute… well, he didn’t show up for another 20 minutes. I don’t like it when these cats lie to customers. Although, I understand they got slammed which he said, I would prefer that they would be upfront and honest and I won’t mind as much. So in review the pizza is pretty damn good, and I would try it again, but next time I’ll pick it up on my way home. Give it a try you’ll probably like it too just stop in and snatch it up.

Tried Dough Boyz tonight for the first time ever. I was looking forward to it, but was underwhelmed. The food wasn’t bad by any means… but it was just ok. Got their large 3-topping pizza and garlic bread for $ 9.99. Chicken, feta cheese and green pepper. Paid $ 1 to add cheese to the bread. Reasonable price for the add-on. However, the most important element of the pizza was lacking: the sauce. It doesn’t have enough flavor or spice to it to bring all the other elements of the pizza together. I got the deep dish, which was also just ok… definitely no Jet’s. The crust was on the soft side, not crispy, and I’m wishing I would have followed my gut to order it well done. Toppings were fresh and tasted good, but there wasn’t much of them. The feta cheese, one of the most expensive toppings, was actually rather reasonable… but the chicken and green pepper were rather sparse. The chicken did have a nice flavor to it. The slightly messy arrival of the pizza didn’t help, either. Looks like the driver was a little too careless and the toppings on the right lower half of the pizza had slid over at least an inch, resulting in several pieces not having any crust to hold onto. The cheese bread looked really good, but was rather bland like the pizza. I was hoping I would taste the garlic, considering it was garlic bread with cheese added… but it tasted like pizza dough with mozzarella on it. Meh. It was nice that the small cheese bread came with two sides of sauce, though — and it’s real pizza sauce, not the fake packaged stuff like Hungry Howie’s and Pizza Hut have. It’s real pizza sauce in a little plastic side cup. Delivery time was less than what was quoted, so that is good, although it may be the reason my pizza was a little messy. I called at 6:05 to order, and called back at 6:08 to ask if I could get deep dish because I forgot to mention it. They quoted me 45 minutes, and the driver called upon her arrival at 6:40. Overall, my summary is you get what you pay for. To get a large with 3 toppings, cheese bread and a 2 liter at most other places would run you just under $ 20 after tax and delivery. I paid $ 15.90 with Dough Boyz. If you’re cost conscious, or need to feed a large group, it’s not a bad choice. But personally, I would rather pay the extra $ 3 – 5 and order from BC’s, Mickey’s or Sportsman’s!

Great Pizzas. If you have not tried their Chicago Stuff Pizzas you are missing out on one of the best pizza places downriver. Will be going back to try their subs next.
