Arnold’s is a traditional tavern, it reminds me of the Cheers bar from TV. It’s a local bar where everyone knows each other and is a real neighborhood staple of the Havelock area. The bar has been open since 1945 and has the original high ceilings and architectural décor stylings of the 1940’s. They also have nice oak flooring and clean wooden booths. The selection of beer is somewhat limited but the prices are good and the service is fast. They also have a nice pool table and large shuffle board. The outdoor smoking area is well heated and covered for people to relax even in the Nebraska winter. I also like the fact the bar has fresh free pop corn readily available. If you want something upscale this is not the bar for you but if you want a real down to earth proper neighborhood bar with honest people and cold beer you will be comfortable. It’s a Lincoln institution and somewhere I visit at least a few times a year.
