Busters Barbecue & Brew

I ate here a lot with my family as a teenager. Returning to Lincoln after many years away I was excited to return to one of my favorite restaurants. I saw a lot of changes which can be great. It was a very inviting atmosphere. However I quickly learned that all the changes were not good.
Slllloooowww service. Friendly but food takes a very long time. I had the full rack of ribs, Cajun fries, Mac n cheese. It took over an hour. Yes it was Friday night and it was a full house but everyone was camped out. No in and outs. Once my food arrived the ribs were cold the mac & cheese was cold the fries were warm. My server who had been very friendly asked if the mac & cheese was warm enough — to check it. I did and it was still barely lukewarm. She said «I can microwave that for longer this time if you would like.»
And I wasn’t the only one. Other patrons near me also complained about the length of time it took to get food. Average wait time was around an hour.
The beer selection was good. Prices were good. Service was attentive. So maybe just a place to pop in for a quick beer, if I ever go back. I’ll certainly never plan to eat there again.

We moved to Lincoln from Colorado and thought we might have found a new hangout, but ummmm– not so much. The waitress forgot to put in the order, and basically forgot us in general. I thought the food might make up for it, but nope. I’d call it BBQ sauce dumped on bland meat. I’m a laid back gal, but the waitress was so snotty — I’ll never give it a second chance.

Cheap beer and bar food. Pretty standard assortment of pub food and BBQ. The pizza is average but super cheap and they deliver until 2. If you’ve had more than a couple you will not regret delivery anywhere in the city. Keep in mind at 1 am on a Friday there may be a long wait time.
