I want to start off my review with a rant. Brace yourself. My dad and I stayed one night here on our cross country road trip. While the majority of the stay was good, one thing ruined the whole experience. Like many hotels, Comfort Suites provides a continental breakfast. This morning seemed to be a bit crazier because they were hosting a large volume of kids who were there to compete for the state championships or something. Lots of kids, lots of noise, more stress, I get it. But what pissed me off the most was the way the staff treated my father. At the coffee station, three or four Caucasian boys were making a mess, spilling sugar and creamer everywhere and basically blocking the station from any adult who actually wanted to drink coffee, not sugar milk. One staff member was an older Caucasian lady who was rushing about. She saw the kids doing it and said nothing. Mind you, these kids were going into the cabinets, spilling little creamers on the ground, spilling coffee on the table and pushing each other around. Empty creamers were scattered all across the counter. As the staff member rushed back and forth, she saw these kids doing this and didn’t say anything. These kids were impeding the rest of the patrons for at least 10 minutes and I remember sharing shrugs and raising my eyebrows along with other adult patrons who were starting to get grumpy from not being able to access their morning cup of joe. My dad finally comes down and checks out of our room. First thing he needs is a cup of coffee. He sees that there ARENOMORECREAMERS because the kids were using them. So one of the kids tells my dad that there were more creamers in the cabinet, so my dad reaches in, grabs a few creamers and puts them into the basket. The staff woman who had seen the kids rummaging through the cabinets and did not say anything, comes rushing out and asks my dad in a very accusing voice«What do you think you’re doing???» and my dad responds, «Just trying to help out.» and she very rudely says, «Well you’re not helping.» and shoots him the meanest, most icy glare, edges him out of the way and takes out all the creamers that my dad put out FOREVERYONEELSE. Even the people who were standing around, raised an eyebrow or shook their heads at the way she spoke to my father. I’m a second generation Asian American and my father is an Asian American immigrant who came to the states. I usually hate pulling the race card because I try to give people the benefit of the doubt. BUTTHISWASRIDICULOUS. She had clearly seen that those Caucasian boys were making a giant mess and instead of reprimanding them and telling them to stop, she chooses instead to be incredibly rude to my dad, who just needed a creamer for his coffee and was nice enough to grab a handful for other people. Ma’am, I don’t know your name. But I hope that Comfort Suites sees this and gives you the same amount of respect that you gave my dad. Zero. I don’t know if you are racist or not, but you’re not a nice person and I’m incredibly disappointed that Comfort Suites would hire someone like you. Besides that morning incident, the staff the night before was very kind and the rooms were very nice. I would have given my stay a better review, but I couldn’t because of that ridiculous incident.

It took 4 attempts over two days to get key cards that actually opened the door to my room, and hotel staff was only marginally helpful. service was Nice.

After a long day of driving all we wanted to do was check in and get a bite to eat. The staff was helpful, however there was only one person at the main desk and a line of people needing help. The line moved at a reasonable pace and we were able to get in. The room was standard, nothing exciting. The wifi was a little slow, but adequate. Breakfast was extensive and there is a separate eating area. This hotel is a good for the price.

Very clean newish hotel. Rooms are comfy and the staff is very welcoming and helpful. The continental breakfast is really full breakfast(eggs, bacon, waffle-maker, etc.) Housekeeping was top notch. And the fitness room and pool are nice. If I had one picky thing to say is that they tout being«green» but they use styrofoam plates & coffee cups, and replace towels even when you hang them to re-use. But all-in-all a great experience. I would definitely stay here when in Lincoln.
