Crescent Moon is my favorite coffee shop in Lincoln, followed by MoJava. The coffee is great, and you haven’t lived til you’ve tried their egg & cheese crêpe with pesto. Mmmmmm. Atmosphere is quiet and laid-back, with college students and retirees mingling comfortably. The service is excellent, though there can be a delay when it’s busy because there is usually only one barista(the owner’s daughter). Great place to study, work, or hang out with a friend or date; can occasionally be a little noisy when groups come in, but they usually depart pretty quickly. Check out the reward system(buy 10, get the 11th free)!

Great little place although a little hard to find because it’s in the basement and not a large sign out front so look for it. I ordered a double espresso with 4 or 5 ounces of water do you know what I got? A double espresso with 4 or 5 ounces of water and a smile and a thank you! I was impressed. You can’t believe how a simple order like that can get so screwed up in coffee shops. Music was pleasant and at a low volume so you could actually have a conversation or even think. Best coffee place in town. I almost forgot to mention — the coffee was delicious.

This place really hit the spot! Awesome coffee and beautiful ambiance! Service was fast and friendly. Bought 4 coffees for only 16 bucks! Quaint and quiet. So relaxing and in the heart of the Haymarket. I will definitely be going there again!

Oh this is tuff call but maybe just found fav latte coffee store in this area. Great location, sorta basement-like, so very weather protected. Some good food options. More before noon apparently. Still some good choices. I’m having 2 shots expresso and pour over with readymade coffee of hazelnut flavor with about ¾inch honey. Really good. Service to match. Local made granola selling here so got 2 bags. I’ll bet is good

Some people say«the people make the place», and while I agree, I definitely enjoy living in places where there is also a great coffee shop or few. Crescent Moon Coffee is a spacious, yet cozy, coffee shop with extremely nice employees and customers. The coffee is delicious, they have a wonderful selection of teas, and the crepes are made fresh and hit the spot for me. This place also turns into a bar with live music later in the day. Really awesome, and worth at least checking out.

Love going to Crescent Moon for a latte and a smile. Staff is friendly and seem to enjoy their job, which reflects highly on service.

Really enjoyed this place. They had decaf on drip, which I always appreciate, and the atmosphere was lovely and truly relaxing. The prices were reasonable, which I also appreciate – I got a mug of coffee and then a cup for the road for $ 2.00. My friend got a similarly reasonably priced mocha that was tasty as well. If you’re in Lincoln, check Crescent Moon out!

The food was delicious. Good service and the ambiance was awesome. Next time I’m in Nebraska I’m stopping by for a savory crêpe.

We were looking for a coffee stop before dinner and decided on Crescent Moon as opposed to the other 3 – 5 shops on the block. I am very glad this was the choice. Nice relaxing atmosphere, good drinks, comfortable seating, good music and just enough to lure one in for the live events that occur in the evening. We didn’t get back for any since there were other plans but definitely need more time next trip.

I happen to think this is the best espresso in Lincoln. It’s a cute little underground place, with great music and great staff! The caffe breve and latte foam was rich and the roast dark. For real espresso lovers, this coffeehouse is better than some of the higher rated coffee shops in Lincoln. We appreciate the quality of your espresso! Seems like a great place to study because it’s easy to talk and since they’re aren’t windows to the street, you’re not distracted by people walking by. For my family and me, it was the perfect place!

I love the staff. The coffee is fair trade and local. They have a variety of beers, wines, and even coffee cocktails. They also have crepes and paninis to die for, not to mention all the delicious fresh pastries.

Good: Turkey Caprese sandwich BLEW my mind, it was verrrry good. The barista is really chill and a very nice guy. Not busy at all. Bad: although not busy at all, I waited 15min for my latte, another 7 min on top of the for my Caprese sandwich. The latte was WAY too hot. The music was so low that it was a bit awkward sitting in there. The clientele seemed a bit hipster protective over this shop when I got started down as I walked in. Great food. Okay coffee. Bad«ticket times».

I love this place. They have great drinks and the atmosphere is awesome. They always do a great job of bringing in some really great local music too. I have never had a bad experience here.

The Moon is the best local coffee around. Great atmosphere and executive comfy seating for VIP guests. This is a great stop for breakfast crepes and lunch. Plus the espresso will never fail you. Forget the crowd at the Mill across the street.

You want coffee in the Haymarket and you aren’t sure where to go? Well at this intersection, you have three options. You could go to the chain coffee shop on one corner, the«Lincoln staple» on another corner, or you could go down the stairs and choose Crescent Moon. I implore you to go to Crescent Moon. The coffee, in my opinion, is the best in the Haymarket. The ambiance is great if you want a quiet coffee shop or want to listen to good music. The wait staff actually acts like they want to be there and they want you to be there. The prices are reasonable. I have never eaten lunch there, but I have plenty of friends who have and love the paninis. I can tell you that the breakfast crepes are amazing and you owe yourself to try one and watch them hand made right in front of you. Crescent Moon has music nights, which I have never gone to, but the lineup always seems stellar. Another perk? You can order drinks there as well! They have a nice selection of beers, cocktails and wine. Go in, revel in the beauty of an old Lincoln building, have a quiet break, enjoy some great company, and get yourself some quality coffee from a great local coffee shop.

I haven’t had the food here yet but my husband says it is tasty. I had a spike coffee which was delicious. The atmosphere is cool and cozy — very urban hip. The only downside to our visit is that the live music is a bit loud for the size of the space.

I loved the atmosphere, except for the minimal natural light(it’s underground, so there’s no way around that). Aside from that, it’s very cute. The walls are adorned with artwork, there are tables as well as comfy chairs and a couch, and a piano sits next to a large stage(open mic times were listed for poetry and singing — I believe on Tuesdays for one and Thursdays for the other). There were only a handful of people there, which is good since there was only one barista. As for the coffee, I had a mocha blender(I think that was the name of it — it was a frozen blended mocha), which was okay. What I’m really here to discuss is the crepes! I make crepes for breakfast fairly frequently from scratch, and these were comparable. They were slightly thicker than I tend to think of for crepes, but the flavor was outstanding. I tried the powdered sugar crêpe(powdered sugar was in the middle, which gave it a little crystallized texture, and also on top) and the egg and cheese crêpe. They were both delicious, but if I go back I’ll go with the egg & cheese option. A blueberry muffin and a cinnamon roll were also consumed(I had help). The muffin was moist and decent, but by no means the best blueberry muffin I’ve ever had. The cinnamon roll was very good, but the icing was super sweet. They do offer them without the icing, so if you’re wanting something more mild you could go that route. Overall, I would definitely go back for the crepes and the atmosphere!

First! The goods: great location as long as you don’t have to park. This also provides direct competition to The Mill, two doors down. Wi-fi worked fairly well. EMPTY. Maybe it’s just not well-known, but I was one of only a couple of people in here. The bads: ad-driven wi-fi although, strangely, it was just a white bar with no ads that you could hide(although it came up again all the time). Coffee isn’t great, but it’s not outright bad either. They had a lot of other menu items that I’m sure you could have tried. If I were in Lincoln again and knew that the more popular places were going to be crowded, this would definitely be a good choice.
